I just had a thought: With how piss easy the demake is(I mean, do I need to remind everyone of YELLOW PAINT?), did they keep the alternative Kent fight? I mean, if you show up late to your meeting with him for his final encounter, the survivor is actually already dead and Kent points a gun to your head. You are then stripped of all your clothing, equipment(including food) and are forced to fight Kent not only in your undies and fists, but also tied to a leash, limiting how far away from the fountain by the Park entrance you can move and keeping the fight extremely close quarters. Anyone who knows Kent will remember how aggressive he is up close, making this fight suicide for low level/inexperienced players. He's hard enough in his standard fight as is.
Anyways, did they keep that, or make it any easier in the demake?
They kept that which funnily enough I never got in the original, but got in the demaster.
It was a bit challenging but more annoying than anything. By that point in the game you're already almost max level.

You know, him taking Frank's clothes off and putting him on a leash to humiliate him was supposed to play off him being a weird perv. Since that got retconned in the demake, what is that supposed to tell a new player? It's okay to sexually harass and humiliate other men, but don't you dare take photos of women in suggestive clothing?
Oh wait, they left that mission with Cheryl in as well. I have no clue, I will just chalk it up to Capcom being both lazy and retarded.

They should have left everything in. Less work and more positive word of mouth. Instead they listened to consultants and investors and shit out a lazy cashgrab that not even their in house tranny shill enjoyed.

I find it hilarious that the troon didn't like the game, but unpaid shills like Ghenry and Stipo just ate that shit up. This is easily the funniest part of the whole debacle, especially when you factor in Stipo's mental breakdown before launch.
Oh boy, your community is in trouble if the man in a wig who got fucked in the ass by Anthony Cumia is looking like the voice of reason.

the remaster was censored and rated m, but that wasnt enough for the modern audiences, they also had to add a warning 😆

I don't remember a content warning for Dead Rising on the 360 but I unironically liked the sticker they put out on copies that said "this work has nothing to do with George A Romero" or whatever it was, I know that I peeled it off carefully and kept it for some reason.

At the risk of someone sperging over the specificity, which is admittedly excessive, of the warning message, you do know this is a thing Capcom usually does with its M rated games, right?
The second paragraph is unnecessary, it's tumblr/xittertard-tier shit.

I don't remember re5 havkng one either. I think it is something that started not long ago.
Another new trend in games we really didnt need. Those cucked paragraphs feel like they are ashamed of the games they used to make. Not just capcom, the tomb raider remasters had them too.

Except only the 3rd paragraph ever used for disclaimer on original DR1. Then again, we live in an era where you have to play as safe as possible to avoid controversies or cancel movement.

I've completed all Dead Rising single player achievements, a process that my achievements tell me took 7 months to complete. Dead Rising took half a month to 100%, Dead Rising 2 and all of it's episodes took 2 and a half, Dead Rising 3 took 3 months and Off The Record took one. I've already talked about these in more detail, but in case someone would like to complete all Dead Rising achievements as well(and you should), I would like to talk about a few that caused me trouble. Not in the sense that they were hard, but the ones I had technical problems with, so you can potentially avoid them yourself.

-Dead Rising went smoothly, just follow the guides and everything should be fine. Make sure to set aside an entire day for 7 Day Survivor and follow your guide of choice to the letter, don't forget that there is a nasty bug that leads to a crash in the Food Court on day 4 or so.
-Dead Rising 2 also went smoothly, for the most part. Zombie Genocide Master took me quite a few playthrus to complete, it requires you play perfectly with milestones you need to meet by the hour, but it's doable. This is where the first technical problem started, however. In Case West, there is an achievement called "Handy Man". It requires you to make all the new DLC combo weapons...except that most players will never trigger it, as it is notoriously bugged. The game only counts this achievement if every single NEW combo weapon was made in a row, if you made even one returning combo weapon(like the Hail Mary that you can make before you even make it to the Security Room) then the achievement is impossible to complete. I had to start a brand new save to complete this one, and only make the new combo weapons for that playthru before making the old ones. Be aware of that if you try to 100% Case West.
-Dead Rising 3 was a doozy, most of the achievements I was missing were simple collectathon ones I could knock out in a single playthru, but the one that took most of the 3 month period was PP Hound. Dead Rising 3 has "PP Trials", passive challenges you can earn in the background across multiple playthrus to earn extra PP, if you played something like Fallout New Vegas you're already familiar with this system. Problem is that most of these challenges aren't very interesting, they come down to making 50 of select combo weapons, a task that will require more than one full playthru, which if you recall is over 6 hours long. You can shorten the time by making the weapons at a combo locker as often as possible and learning where the components are around the map to make more when you have to wait for the locker to recharge, but it still takes forever. Still, this isn't what gave me real problems, that was several DLC collectathon achievements: Stick it to the Man, Burn Baby Burn, Bootleg Collector and Ashes to Ashes(most infamous one). These are notoriously bugged as well and required me to start my profile over from level 1, twice, which meant that in these three months, I leveled up all the way to level 50 just as many times. Unfortunately, I choose to do PP Hound last, so that meant my progress for that achievement was completely reset as well. The way I understand it, much like with Handy Man, if you don't destroy the objectives or collect the objects all in one playthru, the collectible counter screws up or the objects don't spawn properly in the next playthru, making the achievements impossible to complete. My suggestions is to not touch these 4 until you are ready to complete them, then destroy or collect every single objective in one playthru. They are all marked on your map and DLC episodes have no time limit, so it all comes down to making sure you destroy every single objective per zone and move on to the next one.
-Off The Record didn't require me to restart my save, but there was one achievement that gave me trouble and that's the one I just completed: Purewal Memorial Cup. The objective is simple, do not eat or drink any dairy, meat or alcohol until military arrives in Case 7. Problem with that is that whoever marked items you can eat or drink did a poor job of it, as I met the achievement requirements and it didn't pop up, prompting me to try again. This time, I only drank Orange Juice and Mixed Drinks(which all work no matter what you put in them, this is about the only debunked claim about this achievement since there isn't a proper list of what food you can or cannot consume made by anyone). If you ask me, I think some joker simply flagged all fast/junk food as ineligible for the achievement, which makes no sense. Snacks, Onion Rings and French Fries still work within the confines of this achievement, but if you're going for it yourself, I suggest you stick to the liquid diet like I did. Make sure to give survivors only OJ as well, just to be sure.

I only have three achievements total left: Two of them relate to the TIR online mode in DR2 and the third requires me to get all gold medals in co-op in OTR's sandbox mode. I'm not going to complete these right now, but I assume these aren't all that hard, provided you actually have people to play with.
This one was a blast to do, reminded me why I fell in love with these games in the first place. Great trilogy of games, you can easily discount the fourth one and the shitty demake and you still have a fantastic set of games you can always replay. I know I have dozens of playthrus between all these games I listed and I could certainly go for a few more right now, if I wanted to.

Deluxe Remaster just had its first patch and it introduced a fucking casual mode :story:

And released the free demo as well.

Its probably been said, but the most offensive part of this demake is that despite the advancements in software and hardware, its got fucking loading screens and isn't a seamless world ala Yakuza Kawami 2

Actually, no. load zones are very important to how Dead Rising works with item spawning (DR3 had to completely change how it functions to account for the removal of load zones). Keeping in load zones showed a basic understanding of DR1's design, although if CAPCOM treated it like a series they liked who knows if that'd be true.
Based on what I've seen, I can't possibly see how they could make the game easier outside of making the game play itself.
I tried the casual mode out of curiousity. Frank takes 50% less damage and all PP values are increased by 40% (on top of their normal inflated values).

So, how much can you level boost during just the prologue/before you enter the security room with that additional bonus?

I downloaded the demo to experiment and I managed to get up to level 11, 13 if you count the two survivors just outside the security room. Not counting the PP stickers, I kept getting around 2000 to 5000 PP with each shot, depending on the angle. You can take up to 100 photos before you have to recharge, but I got bored and went up the stairs after I took 40 of them.

Also, in case you're wondering, you can't leave Paradise Plaza in the demo. It just asks if you want to stop playing at that point or wait until time runs out, although I don't know how long that is.

Great timing, I just watched Crowbcat's video. Just when I thought that game couldn't get anymore pathetic, here we are. I guess we have an official confirmation of what the "modern audience" that plays this game looks like, huh?

Both of these points are correct: If you're going to remake the game, make sure it plays differently and takes advantage of the modern technology. You know, ACTUALLY make it up to date for the "modern audience", not just censor the game and make it easier.
On the other hand, the game is perfectly balanced around load zones, and changing that means re-working the entire game from scratch if you want to make it balanced. Dead Rising 3 did that perfectly, the seamless open world with zero loading screens after you start up the game is one of the reasons why I am willing to overlook it's wrinkles. Dead Rising 1 could definitely be remade into a game like this with no loading screens, but I don't think Capcom has the talent anymore to attempt that. Maybe the canucks who worked on DR2/DR3 would have it in them, but most of them left by the time DR4 came out. You know, just in case you're wondering what exactly went wrong here.

Speaking of which, I think I might have to bite the bullet and torrent that game. With the remaster(or demaster) officially released, I really want to finish my own personal design draft for my own remake of Dead Rising once and for all. In particular, the open world section can only be expanded if I give the game a try and explore it myself, the way I understand it the game actually opens up very quickly and you can explore most of the game's map once it does. Not like Dead Rising 4 has a time limit or anything, so I should be fine just fucking about. There is only so much I can glance from online videos and maps, unfortunately.
