People have, deservedly, been bagging on Walky for nearly a decade. The words "transfoamer" and "FaggotMaster" fit him like dramatic storylines about child abuse don't fit into gag-a-day strips.

@Jaimas , I remember you talking very intelligently (in the Gen Zed thread, I believe) about how traditional differences between the liberal left and the authoritarian right are in the process of being eliminated - that the new breed of SJWS are just as intolerant and inquisitorial as their evangelical right-wing counterparts. ("Liberal-left fascism", reactionaries used to call it. Well, they can now celebrate - their prediction has finally come true.) Care to pitch in?

What on earth am I doing that comes close to A Logging?

If anything, I've been bagging on him less than the average person in the thread, and I've never once been bagging on him as a way to cover up for my own mental defects and personal neuroses. Walky being a pathetic SJW greaseball whose obsessed with children's toys from the 80s to the point of buying thousands of dollars worth of the stuff despite earning a middle-class income and writing drama that sits about as well as splicing a clip from Oz into an episode of Family Guy is something that can easily be observed on its own without having to be produced by an axieatic as cover for their life not really being all that pathetic.

This is the reason why Null killed the rating. Nobody knowing what the fuck it means.

The general gist is something called Horseshoe Theory.

The TL;DR is that the further left or right you go when it comes to extremes, the less the parties are different, since both, at their absolute worst, are equally authoritarian and destructive.

Before I go further, however, it's critical to clarify something.

Don't make the mistake of assuming SJWs are Liberal; they aren't. These assholes want you to make that mistake; do not humor them. They're what are called Progressives, and they are fundamentally opposed to the values that Liberals hold dear. They got in the door due to the natural tolerance of leftists, and they're a fucking canker at the heart of the left that the right knows only too well, because they themselves fought it off once from a different angle.

Whether they mock free speech with "Freeze Peach" or try to circumvent due process with LISTEN AND BELIEVE, Progressives are fundamentally opposed to individual liberty, since identity politics is their stock and trade. Sargon of Akkad, who, like me, is as left as you can get, takes issue with SocJus and the progressive movement along with it for the same reasons I do, and covered this in depth in the following video:


Make no mistake: the left is fighting a war now that the right fought about 10 years ago, and that's a struggle to take their side back from the insane - from people who are not the majority, represent nobody but themselves, but will lie awake at night trying to find new ways they can consolidate power for themselves. Social Justice is literally no different from the more insane aspects of the religious Right - in no way is it representative of what it claims to be, yet it will duck behind it as being that representative as a defense whenever it can.

That shit sucks. It sucked when assholes did it to the right, and it's just as fucked-up now when it's in the opposite side.

Thing is, there's an upside to all this fighting: It's driven home just how pointless political party is; it matters less now than actual good ideas and actual willingness to do the right thing. Only the insane wanted ideological purity (to better gather their echo-chambers), and when they got it, the sane fled in droves. Those determined survivors didn't stay quiet - they spoke up. Anonymously, at first, through image boards and through various methods online. They know only too well that those in the other side that aren't insane are worth embracing and worth working with - and they aren't staying silent.

Social Justice, and Progressivism with it, will eventually die off. It is unsustainable and as authoritarian as its equivalent on the right was. Make no mistake, however - it will be back when it finally burns out. It will take years, but you will see the same sociopaths emerge some time later, perhaps in another political party, with another identity, all hell-bent-for-leather on taking control...

...And it will get its ass kicked the same way it did the previous two fucking times.

Thank you! So, so much. Yes, "Horseshoe Theory" - like a lot of people, I'm sure, I'd long ago figured that one out for myself. Figures it would have long been consolidated into a theory... Thanks also for outlining in greater detail what you said in the Gen Zed thread (or was it was the Butts thread? Could have been either!) - that the struggle is no longer one of Left vs. Right. It's Liberal vs. Progressive. I'm reminded of some author I came across who said that left wingers and right wingers have much to learn from one another - and that the future lay in a synergy of left and right wing thought. Well, it seems to me that "kicking the asses" (as you so delightfully put it!) of these "New Totalitarians" could be the perfect common ground on which left and right can come together and start an actual dialogue.

What I'm basically saying is that our response to this...

Doesn't really help that Willis's rant about checking his readers' dildo privileges featured Roz, a character whose entire schtick is being needlessly abrasive, selfish and sex-obsessed even by the standards of characters written by David Willis. Not that she ever had a chance to be anything but given that she was introduced in Shortpacked! as Robin's even more obnoxious and self-centered younger sibling. Yeah, this girl's original purpose was to make Robin seem somehow less godawfully kooky and annoying and she's actually gotten worse since showing up in Dumbing of Age.

Roz in DoA is not only needlessly abrasive, selfish and sex-obsessed, she's also turned into a carping SJW who spends half her time giving safe-sex lectures and the other half vomiting tumblrisms over anyone who stands still long enough. Oh, and now she totally hates Robin because Robin is a Republican, which is literally all the justification that Willis seems to think is necessary for someone to want to disown their sister. Plus her roommate, the not-at-all-painfully-indicatively-named Mary, is a straw Fundamentalist who everyone hates both in-universe and out because, uh, she's a straw Fundamentalist, what else do you need? This is, in and of itself, supposed to be seen as funny because OMG they're so different! except they really, really aren't because Roz is also arrogant, blinkered and absolutely convinced she's got nothing to learn and is right about everything.

When you the author are deliberately setting out to berate your readers, and you deliberately choose to put those words into the mouth of a character who was originally supposed to be an unlikable nymphomaniac and hasn't been redeemed one iota, you should probably think very hard about what message you're trying to convey.
 
It's possible he chose this character to berate his audience because, in his mind, she's not irredeemable. As in, she doesn't need to be redeemed. Someone like Willis would just see a character like her as "feisty". To him, only a misogynist Gamergate creepshow could hate a character like her.

I just realized, what's with SWJ cows and children's entertainment? My personal SJW cow has an obsession with Legos. And Walky has and obsession with transformers. And dobby and his obsession with splatoon
(Arguably a family game, but mostly for kids imo)

Being fair with Chris and Walky, a lot of adult people are obssesed with Transformers or Lego (and both companies are aware and carter to them at times) and not in destructive ways as Chris or "jocking but I'm serious" of Willis. Also the degree of obsesion is different, as Chris uses Lego to outright delude himself out of reality and Willis still (seems) to have a degree of restrain and self awareness (thought going to the Botcon over his wife's ultrasound indicates that he is losing that). In any case, Willis has the actual money to indulge himself in his Hot Shot shrine while Chris not, so probably not as close as you think.

Dobson is just a Nintendrone that also likes Skyrim because "LESBIANS".
