The second Tweet is really interesting. Add "chargebacks" to the English-DSP Dictionary.
Chargebacks = Pulled too many Hogans but had no luck. Forgot to buy food.

He exaggerated the problem for begging purposes, but this isn't the smoking gun disproving all the chargebacks like people are making it out to be.

I can see your point but we are talking about a man that had $150 in his bank account not that long ago. Phil burns his money regardless of chargebacks or not. He never learned about rainy day funds.
EDIT. It's even dumber when you are in a profession where you have to anticipate, especially in Phil's case, that you might get hit by chargebacks but never put a penny aside.

I think it's more though unless I miscalculated. In the same time frame he received over 1k. My gut says that it's even more scummy because he only lost over 1k but wanted his gambling money back begged.

To add to this, it also shows that Phil is looking to consciously use the chargebacks as an avenue to beg for more money, while also providing no transparency about what's actually happening with them.

@Anony mentioned that Phil was still refunding $100 tips out of concern, but that's really the only tangible, visible evidence that the other chargebacks existed to a degree that he was concerned. And we know SuperHound was squawking about doing them. We have no other proof to substantiate his claims. Even at the time, we couldn't get Phil's proposed 'thousands' to jive with what SH was posting records of on his Twitter. This suggests that Phil was lying and possibly even doubling the amount of chargebacks he was receiving, and doing it sloppy enough that detractors were suspicious.

Phil's 'nugget of truth' allegations are classic Phil in that they're projection of how he lies. As long is there is a nugget of truth in there (ie. there were chargebacks), he's comfortable manipulating and obfuscating the information deliberately to try and gain an advantage from it. He should literally never be taken at his word on anything, especially if it is any statement that could yield some gain for Phil.

Look at that picture of his negative a balance. Phil isn't lying - if it weren't for the chargebacks, it wouldn't be in the red! But he's neglecting to mention he put it there because he 'needed' to drop a pile on pulls.
So he's actually running a con there. It's really the intent that is the worst thing.

Coming from Phil, the phrase has no meaning at all, like a lot of other things he frequently says. It’s just a noise his mouth makes to try to come across as well-spoken to kids and morons. He could have been saying “stinky poo wigwombles” instead of “I would argue” and it would have had the same meaning and would have been just as superfluous.

Edit: the real question is… who/where did he hear it from a couple of months ago? It definitely sparked something in his tiny brain that made it say “Damn, that’s good… I’m gonna start saying that a lot. Like, A LOT, a lot.”

It's interesting because he has had financial success from doing this. I doubt it was because of his tip goal fuckery, but he hit the goals for the first time in a while, and it's unusual for Phil to tweak something when it aligned with getting him money. Even the vest/hat goal swap has remained in place despite his chat openly complaining about it.

I really think he has a handful of whales that contact him and have some pull over his choices. A couple of them wanted the hat goal first so he did that to appease them. One suggested the $50 increments, but Phil heard from a couple of others and they don't like it so he is changing it back. Some of these decisions seem removed from Phil's interests and/or the interests of his chat, so the request has to be coming from some other party that has an interest. It also be Kat trying to pitch in on the scam plans, I suppose.

This is a throwback to when he kept prefacing every other sentence with 'real talk'. I think that was the last mannerism that he got severely stuck on, but he was stuck in the same way.

Phil, while on his rant about shills getting free games, said that the practice only exists because "people are dumb enough to fall for it." Because people are stupid and ignorant that they can't understand that they're seeing paid advertisements, companies and shills can continue to do these sleazy practices.

So that is, verbatim, how Phil feels about his audience. He keeps running his greasy scams because his audience are stupid enough to fall for them.
And that's also why he doesn't respect them - because they're stupid enough to keep giving him money.

EDIT: We're currently running exclusively with the narrative that Phil received all of these offers and turned them down so that he can feel good about coming to stream every day.
There has been no mention of the trolls blowing these opportunities for him.

EDIT2: He concluded his jealous rant by saying he gets to put out content that is 'honest, transparent and truthful'.
Severe overcompensation because we've seen bank statements that put a bullet in each of those words.

His smoothbrain never ceases to amaze. I'm not surprised by his low brow clickbait attempts, when you factor in his fierce intellect, cunning wit, and breath taking charm comes through in his livestreams as long bouts of silence, puntuated by animalistic snorts.
Tl;dr, Dave is barely human in his personality, and the autistim constantly shines through in his rocking, as well as what he thinks normal people would find engaging or exciting.
 
In an interesting turn of event, the prestream is currently happening with the PS dashboard music in the background.
A throwback to the golden age of prestream meltdowns.

The disturbing part is that he feels no shame over the fact that his "13 year career as a khantent creator" is built on constant lying and memory holeing anything he's said and done that contradicts the narrative at the time. And he documents all of it himself(well, almost all of it. We do have the regular unrecorded begment every other day now.)
