I think it's the time of the month where he gets mad about "dumbfuck paid shills" again.

You notice how Phil ALWAYS says either, “Oh, this is hilarious…” or “Look, this is hilarious…” or “What’s funny is…” right before he calls out someone in chat who is criticizing him or highly disagreeing with him. It’s another manipulative thing he does that immediately shits on their criticism and tries to make them look bad, and like someone whose opinions should be discarded.

His transitions to the prestream begging script have become increasingly jarring.
His speaking speed and clarity instantly double. Today, he didn't pause or take a sip after finishing his last sentence about his gaming schedule, and you could almost hear him turn to the notepad on his laptop and start reading.

Phil dropping Metroid Dread with the same bullshit excuses. He "needs" to play Alan Wake Remastered for the spooky season, along with Back 4 Blood! He can't play a game like Dread "one day a week". But remember, he doesn't hate Nintendo.

Also Phil, blaming your audience for complaining after you lied about playing the game isn't helping. Nor is blaming Nintendo for releasing the game in October.

Oh yeah, nothing is ever his fault.
 
SnowKarl got him screaming about shills again, including an extended rant about John Stamos shilling yogurt, and people can somehow tell that he's just trying to sell them yogurt, but some people think John Stamos is god's gift to the world so they want the yogurt...

Phil honestly feels that the audience is too stupid to understand the implications of people getting paid for early promotions. Unlike John Stamos' yogurt, people can see the gameplay and get a sense of if it is something they would like, so this marketing dynamic makes more sense for games than even in standard product advertising. Most streamers aren't actually threatened by this because people want to watch that streamer in particular play the game, but Phil knows he'll never have that appeal unless it is to see him freak out at Dark Souls.

This is just more emphasis on Phil's jealousy, as well as a really weird fixation on John Stamos in particular.

I think he is well aware that his audience is exceptional and also wants them to watch his kahntent not that of "dumbfuck paid shills". That was the goal with his recent buys of deluxe editions - getting it days earlier. He is just jealous and fears losing potential tips. Always. It's makes sense from his perspective (and spending habits) but he can't admit to it.

I get paid shilling, I get day one views especially those who could be on a break during an all-nighter, and don't have time to play, I'd be looking at that content and think, well, this game seems good I might have at least a good opinion, and the lesson in marketing, is goddamn market the product!

DSP does none of that, because his business degree isn't a degree at all, he has no idea because that degree lacks any proficiency or any physical manifestation throughout his years, and we all see that every stream, every shred of goddamn Autistic entertainment to grace the internet

If anything that DSP proves over the years of him, is that his content isn't content at all, hell during 2013 PewDiePie of all people had better content and then I guess YouTube didn't want to have Phil in that algorithm, even for playthroughs, because that content was pure garbage compared to a newer younger and more enthusiastic creator who would put his effort to enjoy himself and be connected to the fans who built him..

Apparently Metroid Dread temporarily selling out for 3-4 hours on Amazon US the other day doesn't count towards "Hype". That has never happened ever for metroid since 1987, "there's no hype for it". Lmao he's just scared of any game that requires any slight bit of skill. (Besides monkey ball, of course)
