Towards the end of ADV you had to have your hand on the pause button to get their screen filling cliff notes which kept popping up every 5 seconds if you had any hope to read them before they flashed to the next screen filling factoid.

100% literal translations for games already exist like in Blue Reflection, does not help the overall quality of the game's poor design though.

If it's high art and needs to be preserved, then translations should be as good as possible.
If it's unimportant junk that no one cares about, then why does it need to be changed?

Pro-censorship people will argue then content is causing harm, but are unable to prove it. They argue it's distasteful or immoral, but that's a standard that can be applied to what they like. Like that infamous Anita Sarkeesian tweet when they announced the woke reboot of Buffy.

Horizon sequel probably puts New vegas to shame.

They've really consolidated the open world mechanics and removed the tedium. Leveling system is a hybrid of what you would see in a Bethesda or Obsidian game, however you can unlock special skills for different builds. There's an endpoint to it instead of repeated leveling like in Skyrim for more points. But the fact that it's a game of similar scale and freedom and with a very in depth combat system and no real gamebreaking bugs really is going to give Todd a run for his money.

The game is by no means middling, it's going to do what GOW 2018 did and raise the bar for future Sony first party games. The game mechanics are rock solid and they've improced upon every aspect of the original.

They've successfully filled a niche from all the WRPG vacancies that have taken place.

Not one single base character looks perfect and there's no way to really fix it without third parties, and you stop caring about once you're free to explore the open world and kill shit.

Forbidden West is a pretty strong competitor to Bethesda type RPGs. So far it just seems to lack that overpowered early type exploits.

If Marissa has compared Horizon to something like Assassin Creed Origins or Odyssey, there would be some merit in that opinion. But most people here don't have beeeg enough brain to understand such logic.
