It doesn’t matter if you get a credit for almost zero percent interest then you rather post about the oppressed trans women and there you go. New invested money and your problems are solved until next year.
Ever seen the stories of banks cancelling some clients accounts after they positioned themselves politically that the woke does not agree with? Think you’ll get new big investors if your social credit is low easily?

Then you may as well stop making games for consumers then if you don't even need them. See where I am going with this?

Fans =/= consumers, consumers are mindless animals to put it bluntly who is easily amused and so long you provide a competent and socially responsible product it will make enough money for the company to consider it worthwhile. Fans are people who put thought into what they purchase and what should be made the norm for gaming and is being constantly dismissed and attacked by modern corporations who realize having a bunch of zealots can backfire badly when your decisions don't mesh with theirs.

Anime games works by sustaining itself on a fans talking about your game, AAA games only need consumers buying the game and don't need an actual fanbase proper beyond what they find acceptable like memes/youtube videos and reddit shilling.

Maybe for games like CoD or Battlefield and maybe even Fortnite to an extent. Games like Mass Effect seem to be more vulnerable to this though...

Hence why they scrapped plans for Andromeda 2 and are doing ME4...though who the fuck knows if that will even come out at this point.

he's not wrong tho. companies like activision don't spend 100 million to make back 101, when was the last time any of the big AAA companies did any experiments or took risks?

so sure, you can coast by barely breaking even and make your money fleecing dumb investors, but that's like developing videogames off government grants, eventually breaking fundamental economic laws will catch up to you - and when the money faucet runs out where's you're customer base when even dumb consumers rather pick something else?

That is exactly it, Star Wars, Mass Effect and Dragon Age are games with actual fanbases. Senran Kagura, Neptunia and your niche Japanese are games with fanbases who can't stand the consumer style market corporations are doing.

Also, HoN is shutting down their services in 6 months because toxicity in gaming is being filtered out and HoN was a classic case of showing how they didn't just fight toxicity, they encouraged it.

Those are all fanbases who all don't really like actually playing games. The Neptunia fandom is really no different than the one Bioware cultivated by the end.

The average development time for a Neptunia game is incredibly short which is why they gained the reputation of shovelware.

Seems more like it just ran its course than anything regarding toxicity. Although I hope you mean actual toxicity and not the journospeak variant of it.

Riot would likely be in the same shoes if it weren't for Tencent.

Actual racism and death threat, in your face asshole and the creative minds were as toxic as their playbase and that is fine because they carried that attitude to the EoS which not many devs can afford as they promise to fight online toxicity. HoN was not a nice game and I loved it even if I didn't play the game, not many games these days allowed it's fanbase to cull the weak

That actually brought a tear to my eye.

Yeah, no game tries to actively foster a toxic environment anymore. Always try to combat online toxicity instead of forcing them to let their feelings out like proper people.
Neither side wouldn't be an issue with private servers that the players themselves can control. The emphasis on public servers is what lead to that originally.

Cuz that's what I need with a nice bit of escapism from stressful dealing with brain damaged kids and people who act like them; MORE hostility and people acting like brain damaged children. If that's your bag, godspeed, but it only reinforces my desire to play games solo knowing people like you are pouring more shit in a sewer.

Proper people don't grouse at length about how they had sex with my mother. Those are people I actively avoid, and it's been a net positive for my life.

You wanna let your feelings out, go to therapy, hit a fucking TV in the junkyard. I don't care to hear shit that was lame when I was in middle school.

AND NO, this doesn't mean I think those environments need to be removed/cancelled/blah blah. I'm just saying it's existence is not a positive and I want nothing to do with it.

Have you considered it's because your mother is nothing to brag about? Buy the Kamasutra for her, man, up her game.
As vanilla as that bitch was? Ain't no way it's gonna help at her age NOW.

It’s been a week since a PlayStation executive was caught trying to groom a minor for sex, but IGN was mocked for not thinking it was real news:

The journalist in question then deleted the posts on Twitter to make it look like the guy was only commenting to himself:

Because of that, Eurogamer had to step up to the plater, and in return, Kotaku would finally post about it on their site:

However, some thought that this was unnecessary since he got what he wanted, and yet they say that he was only making the situation worse:

Covering for serious crimes like these must really take a lot out of you, especially when your favorite hobby is now being weaponized against you in the sake of “gaming journalism”.

Nice to know they still think corruption isn't newsworthy. Nothing has changed at all in 7 years.

Many outlets reported on it, but the news broke well before any actual article was written. So this translates into less ad revenue for them.

By the time they started the dude was already fired.

Now ideally this would have been a situation to warrant further investigation, since them being journalists it's part of their job. But there's been no follow up on the situation.
