Now a lot of people like Marissa reading this might ignore or overlook this article due to it not being important or newsworthy (which is their prerogative, by the way). However, there was something that had me confused.
In the game entries for the iDOLM@sTER series, none of their games fan service were toned down. In fact, they went unchanged and managed to keep it in there during the height of their popularity.
Then, five years after that, iDOlM@sTER: Platinum Girls had more clothing while it was suspected that the fan service was not too exaggerated:
After that in 2017, the fan service was only in there due to selective outfits for the idols, but the jiggle physics started to slightly go down (again, not too much):
I had to put these in spoilers, due to the fact that there were so many videos dating back to 2011. If you fast forward almost ten years later, the iDOLM@sTER girls’ chests have been noticeably tuned down due to these jiggle physics and it was something that’s been on my mind since yesterday.
Without jiggle physics in the new game:
With jiggle physics but in the same arena, yet in a different game:
Either way, I expect people to shrug from reading this or not care, since on that SanComplex article, some suggested that Bandai Namco may have stepped in and did some changes to appeal to a more global audience. Still, this does make one question:
Why would they tone down the idols’ breast sizes if they’re on the verge of being 18? And why would they care so much about toning down the fan service/fan appeal of idols by having to downplay their sexuality with excessive outfits?
Something does seem amiss when you have to now go after the idols in Japan. Here’s to hoping that we don’t have a real life repeat of Perfect Blue happening anytime soon.

The rigs need to be looked at because jiggle physics would have helpers on the rig. If a polygon isn't jiggling it was either not given the property or in a few other cases the rigs turned out to be busted and the boobs didn't work unless under specific settings.
Looks to be entirety a decision made by Bandai Namco because the game isn't set for a worldwide release either.
You're the one who always brought up how much games you've "played" and "bought" after you're called out of your countless dumb comments on topics you're participating, as if to claim you're a higher authority and make yourself look unquestionable. Then you have the audacity to backpedal when you get asked for proofs and cry victimhood how your privacy is "at risk" (despite how easy it is to get around the hidden data issue you're presumably worrying about). You made your bed, now lie on it, you dishonest attention-whore.
This is true, he sent images of his Switch games, there's a whole bunch of them. Will not re-post the screenshots because I promised. That's just Switch though.

The baffling part about this, is that the iM@S franchise isn't popular, or even known about, outside of Japan, compared to other idol franchises like Love Live! Did the Western Woke devs started infiltrating Japanese video game studios directly, to make these changes? Was Neil Druckmann somehow part of this game design decision?

It doesn't matter if the game doesn't have a planned global release, it was already known from the start that SIE's regulations can still hit japanese/asia-only releases like DoA3 Xtreme Scarlet and other games. There's no proof in the Idolmaster's case that SIE was behind the changes but there is nothing that can confirm the contrary either. The american branch in command has been really hostile towards the japanese market for a while (such as the international PS5 dualshock button scheme acting like a japanese normalfag repellent) so it's easy to have such assumptions.

I remember saying back in the Switch thread that I was more interested in screenshots of playtime because buying games is no difficult task by itself. That also doesn't excuse his recurrent Sony fanboyism and his usual behavior to act like he knows everything but still often get things wrong either (especially when it comes to japanese stuff).
And Anita Sarkeesian could also pose herself with a bunch of physicals games to make it so her opinions were "in the right" too. It's fair to doubt she played them much.

First off Anita Sarkeesian is posing next to a bunch of mass release stuff. My collection is way more discriminating. I've even doubled dipped in many cases depending on title. So I have a copy of the game for the switch and other systems. Second if I was such a sony fanperson, why would I give that much money to Nintendo in the first place? More or less I've been disagreeing with the narratives you put forth.

Anything DOA related had nothing to do with sony and it was all Koei Techmo's judgement, Sony played no part in any of the decisions.
Even CERO has had regulation standard changes within the past few years as well as the ESRB. And you keep pushing the Dualshock format change as if it was something entirely alien. I think grabbing posts from 2chan as a method of gauging a pulse on something isn't going to give you any useful information. Especially since you've had Judgement and Tales of Arise come out and those did well. The only games where the change would have maybe mattered was fighters and those already have a universal input that the change doesn't even effect. You taking at most having the idle menu having slightly different inputs, but even those were already altered with he Dualshock 4 since the touchpad was used as a menu button in quite a few games. Hell Final Fantasy 7 intergrade uses the option button to quit out of stuff the X and O have no input at some menus in the game at all. They use triangle to interact with objects and X and O outside of the menu system are for different battle commands.
I also don't think getting exclusivity deals to Japanese companies qualifies as being hostile, those help fund the games themselves. Nintendo doesn't do that outside of very rare cases and Microsoft hasn't really done it either. It's still Sony who offers the most exclusivity deals to Japanese companies included in many instances paying for the marketing of the game.

It's possible, but as @BananaSplit said, I put my money on this being changes made to comply with company wide policy. Be it Sony policy, or Namco Bandai (the article even says they went woke recently). Japan has SJWs too, just not as many and not as powerful, so entryism certainly is possible.
A close second would be tweaking things over time. Looking at the videos, it doesn't look like a game where the appeal is DDDDDs flopping around like DoA. So I want to see future games before grabbing the pitch forks on this one.

People are jumping to assumptions when the real proof would be ripping the models and seeing if they have any type of helpers tied to the boobs themselves.
Considering that many games couldn't get the right voice actors or mocap actors due to corona, it's more than likely was either deadline related or something just fucked up and they couldn't fix it. Boob jiggle is one of the last things to be removed because undoing a rig is a fucking pain in the ass, you can't just open a texture program or photoshop and fix that. It's something where it takes way more effort to be removed once it's in there. So the models either have it and it's not working right and may be tied to frame rate like the Dynasty Warriors, or it was never put in to begin with.
BandaiNamco also didn't go woke they just had a branding change. This is the same company who already has an international toy business. They made Power Rangers toys the world over up until a few years ago when Hasbro got the toy rights to the franchise.

sony has been retarded a looooooooong time, even before they became a us west coast company. reports where sony was more anal than cero of all things were popping up every once in a while for years (probably already linked here, cba to look for it rn).
considering they just nerfed the booba and not turned them into troons I doubt it.

They didn't want 2d games for the original playstation so shit got passed over, but certain genres got through in the early days like SRPGs. Panzer General was a 2d spite based game for example. It mostly extended to stuff that was more action oriented like platformers. They spent a good deal of time and money on Jumping Flash only for it to not materialize into anything major.
There's also the many instances of japan studio fucking up

✖(ばつ)and 〇(まる)are strong cultural specific connotations in Japan, that's basic knowledge that you refuse to learn and understand for some goddamned reason
And both titles only did relatively well on PS4 (although not particularly amazing either for a console in its last years of its lifespan, compared to the PS3), certainly not on PS5.
For reference in the pic below, February 22nd 2014 was the japanese release date of the PS4 hardware.

Yeah except the main part of gaming is getting used to different control styles. Like getting used to button swapping is not a huge deal at all, I've got systems from different regions that do have the buttons swapped The Japanese are not some type of robot who frizzez up at the slightest change. I mean the most drastic change was going from MHG to Monster Hunter World, the X and O getting swapped was nothing. That used entirely different mechanics than what was established on the PS2, PSP, and 3ds. And these are games that people played for thousands of hours and then World throws all that muscle memory out the window.
You're using incredibly broad strokes with how supposedly ingrained it is. Especially since people of all types adapt to using different systems and games. Japan's main preference for gaming is mobile which means there's no tactile button display at all. Even the mostly universal Red bad and Green Good get swapped around for a ton of games. There's entire encyclopedias of universal machine symbols, they're way more common and none of them are used for games outside of the power button.

First of all, STFU again Moira, you are pissing yourself in front of everyone with your distorted takes. But on the subject of Bamco and Idolmaster recent physic issues is that I would l give my take since without Moira's shit take on it.
Sankaku is where I got the first taste of weeb extremism and the distrust they have towards the west. They have published plenty of anti ching Chong/troon/gook articles while being full coomer. But the problem is Bamco had made an active effort in screwing lver the gaijin im@s fanbase from day 1, doing shit ports, region locking the PC version after the 10 gaijin idolmaster fans hopes it would finally see overseas fans only to be cockblocked as always.
But the reality is the im@s franchise is too entrenched and a fanbase that have stuck with them from the beginning. This is unfortunately just a way to filter out all the apologists and Love Livers who think just because they are supported overseas doesn't mean everyone looks upon the gaijin fans so favorably
People are jumping to assumptions when the real proof would be ripping the models and seeing if they have any type of helpers tied to the boobs themselves.

They could just tweak the numbers governing stiffness or energy propagation or whatever you want to call it so that momentum won't affect them, that's easy. Think of it like an inflatable tubeman and an Indian totem pole. Whack the tubeman with a baseball bat and it will flail around until it goes back to neutral, whack the totem pole and nothing really happens even though the same amount of energy goes into it and through it, it's just much stiffer.
And I'm just talking out of my ass here but they probably have a toggle to turn breast physics off so that people can work on other parts of the game even if a purely graphical feature is catastrophically broken. Debug toggles for all kinds of things isn't uncommon.
But to be honest, I only know that Idol Master is something really gay on the 360.
They're really not, you're just going by some children's television and book examples and made a large generalization.
Companies like Toyota don't use them at all in any of their interfaces. This goes for both the infotainment console and the regular controls.
If the controls were swapped the other way around and O became select and X was cancel for the global standard, nobody around the earth would have been affected either. It would have been chalked up as an interface change and people would have shrugged it off because at the end of the day they just want to play games. The Japanese are not some special unique case where this would create a mental barrier for them.
