There has never been a moment where these characters looked at the screen and said "THESE ARE MY PRONOUNS"
This comic is just a strawman for the creator to project onto, so I see it as fake and gay.
Hell, didn't Toby Fox himself say that he deliberately made Frisk's gender ambiguous so the player could project themselves onto them? So why can't the same thing apply to Kris?

Toad is black now

I mean having an entire monarchy with black mushroom serfs ruled over by a white queen is probably going to have to be dealt with down the road.

Now granted they did make Donkey and Cranky Kong white, but Kamek is also black which means he's another one who has personally faced the plumber's shoe of oppression. Then again he's mostly known for stealing things.

Never forget that Donald Trump’s scorned ex once tried to make a sex joke about Toad to Jimmy Kimmel

As someone that likes Toad, that was the moment where I knew that “gaming culture” in the latter years is fraudulent by nature, and aging porn stars killed it

The most shocking thing was that she mentioned Mario Kart and not one of Toad's mainline series appearances. Just goes to show just how much a spin-off series has on the series lore.

The movie will probably alter the canon and future representations of the characters for decades to come. I mean even when the Transformers movie was ass in 2007, Movie Prime and Movie Bumblebee still influenced designs for the characters even today, that's over 13 years.

Yeah, that's what I'm really worried about.
This is gonna be mario mandate 2.0 and I fucking hate it.

I am deeply invested in the Mario canon, I'm about 1mm deep because that's about it. I can't wait to see if they queer Mario flying using the tail but it is now a furry buttplug with product placement for Elon Musk's SpaceX Persona Space fusion engine driven by BioHydramics. It's entirely possible and Joe Rogan should have been cast as Cranky Cong.

Apparently while the PS5 had a chip shortage, Sony secretly did some patches to the PS4 to make sure that all of their consoles for that generation does not brick in the future. I’m surprised YongYea was just one of the few people reporting on this, Culture Warrior™ and all.

Is it really a secret if people know about the update?

Didn't know where else to put this but since the company is going full retard it probably belongs here.

Bandai Namco rebranding it's logo to follow the “minimalist” trend that has been washing over most Western companies, making it even more simplistic than it already was, and using the color pink to “stress diversity”

1. About Our New Purpose
Bandai Namco’s Purpose expresses the reason for our existence and why we conduct our businesses and corporate activities. Its wording was developed based on internal and external surveys, as well as discussions among employees from around the world. From April 2022, our Purpose will be the ultimate definition of who we are as a company and will shape the vision and strategy of our next Mid-term Plan.
—Fun for All into the Future
Bandai Namco exists to share dreams, fun and inspiration with people around the world. Connecting people and societies in the enjoyment of uniquely entertaining products and services, we’re working to create a brighter future for everyone.

2. About Our New Logo

Our current logo expresses the fusion of Bandai and Namco that was created when the two companies integrated. It will be replaced with a new logo that reflects our new Purpose. All companies with “Bandai Namco” in their names will use this logo. And, in principle, companies with and without “Bandai Namco” in their names will display this new Group logo on all their products and services. This will enable us to bring together the value of all our products, services, and labels under one logo and elevate the brand value of the Bandai Namco Group in the global market.
The new logo’s speech bubble motif, “Fukidashi” in Japanese, expresses the potential of the brand to connect with people around the world and inspire them with amazing ideas. The speech bubble also represents Japan’s manga culture that has become so popular everywhere. The logo stands for our determination to communicate with fans worldwide, to connect with our fans, and to create entertainment unique to Bandai Namco. The magenta used as the motif color not only represents diversity, but also creates a bright and fun impression and is easy to reproduce.

The Spirit of Our New Purpose

With the start of our next Mid-term Plan in April 2022, our new Purpose will be the ultimate definition of who we are as a company. It was developed based on internal and external surveys and on discussions among employees from around the world, whose opinions and ideas guided and inspired us.
Fundamental to our Purpose is the idea of connecting and working together to create things. Bandai Namco’s entertainment connects fans all over the world. By delivering fun to the people everywhere, we put smiles on their faces and help them achieve happiness. That’s why Bandai Namco exists.
Our Purpose clearly and succinctly expresses how we have always sought to connect with fans everywhere, developing and sharing with our fans in creating innovative IP, products, and services. Together with our fans, we’ll create a new era for Bandai Namco, proudly communicating the reason for our existence.

Just... why.

How is it that these companies have teams of people, who need to approve and work these things out and despite all of that, the best they could come up with is...... this.
It fucking looks like some used car salesman logo, or something that you would miss flipping through the pages of generic looking logo's on google, and they actually paid someone to design this :stress:

At least even if you didn't like Bandai Namco games because of prices, port quality or whatever the reason, the logo was instantly recognizable.

Oh yeah, rebranding because of niggers and diversity, good fucking luck. I'm sure that worked out for many companies in the west. :story:

It makes sense, black people have taken over DBZ that's why at the center the lettering is black. Bandai namco's core is Dragonball.

Around that is white which makes up their other sizable audience, white people, who buy everything else they put out.

And circling everything on the outside is pink, which represent women, who exist on the outskirts. While are the most noticeable also engage the least. The ones that do are Fujoshits and pink is again a fitting color for these human tumors, because breast cancer is also represented by the same color as well.

Someone made an edit which looks miles better

Also I do hate this whole "muh globalization" & "worldwide market" because it often means throwing away one's past identity and sanitizing media, because of social media outrage and all.

If only, that would be a major benefit, these fuckers are sitting with half their game catalog unreleased in the west. You have massive gaps in the Tales series where we still don't have every PS2 installment and Phantasia's last release was the fucking Gameboy Advance.

So fine release the fucking games if you're gunning for a global audience.

That and Bandai itself is also sitting on the rights to a ton of smaller anime series and live action hero series(they have stuff with Kamen Rider) and is currently doing jack shit with them as well. They tried awhile back to publish stuff but they were asking for like 90 dollars a volume.

The whole thing about the new logo is just marketing speak, it's to justify spending a few million for a new header. Until they announce a slew of games or other media it literally means fucking nothing.

Capcom has done this like 3 times over already with global rebranding, doesn't mean shit if they don't have the games to back it up.

What the fuck?? What a boring logo.
This is companywide and they choose pink because they're competing with companies that already heavily use red and blue. So they want pink to be heavily associated with their brand as an identifying color. The word diversity in this sense is to make sure that they stick out on the shelves amongst their competition.

Bandai's model kits use a red square logo and their figures use a blue variation of the square Bandai logo. However Hasbro has heavily moved in on their market. Hasbro has the toy rights to Power Rangers and have created similar quality figures to Bandai's for a fraction of their price. They're also being sold in the same places. Most of bandai's toys are sold in Barnes and Nobles and that's where Hasbro's figures have been showing up there too. Hasbro's logo is predominantly blue and Mattel's is red.

So between Power Rangers, Transformers, and all their other IPs, Hasbro has been putting out Japanese style toys to a wide global audience far better than what Bandai has. Even to the point where hasbro will offer specialty Japanese figures for a couple hundred bucks directly from their own website. So there's really no excuse why Gundam and all the other stuff that Bandai is associated with can't be doing the same or at least offer close competition.

Now people may go "BUT THIS IS GAMES", well this ties into cross promotion with their gaming IPs. If you're able to get toys for popular games out you've broadened the appeal for IPs. And if you're able to tie both toys and games into a TV series welll then you have a start to an evergreen property.

TLDR, calm down Tojo feminists aren't coming for your Gunpla.
