People should learn to keep it in their pants a little better and an armed woman is harder to rape. If we put half as much time, effort, and resources into teaching people personal responsibility as we put into fixing the messes caused due to encouraging an utter lack of it entirely, we'd probably be better off.

While I agree the I agree the 17 year old girl whose boyfriend she ran halfway across the country and burned bridges with her family to be with kicked her ass to the curb at 8 months pregnant and unemployed probably isn't going to make the best parent, perhaps society would be better served being encouraged to prevent the problem from even happening at all instead of demanding everyone help make their mistakes go away and celebrate them for it after the fact.

Sad part is, while I always had an opinion, it wasn't really all that strong of one until we started seeing "Up to and, in extreme cases, possibly even moments after being born" being added to the abortion conversation. All people had to do was leave the "Rare" in "Safe, Legal, and Rare" and we could have left it at low level disagreements, small pockets of activism, and occasional shaming instead of the absolute shit show it's become now.

Wanted to follow up on this.

The mod itself, posted above, is infact the code for the Saudi Arabia version of the game. Since they have strict no-homo laws, they changed the pride flag to the American flag. The modder simply uploaded this small regional file to Nexus and this shit show started cause THE GAY COMMUNITY couldn't let a person have an option to mod their flag out of the game.

Some articles, Nichegamer in particular had one guy write the article saying "Go touch grass" if you can't accept gays. When the mod turned out to be a regional file, another article by another writer had them deflect criticism in the first article. The first article was then re-written by the editor and that's the current archived version. Sadly didn't save that first version.

The nexus thread of the mod before it was banned. I posted the Gamebanana one before. But now Moddb has also removed the mod. There's a thread on r/archivedmods that hasn't been taken down yet.

So when modders add in gay stuff, no one bats an eye. Take even one thing out of the game and hundreds of comments flood articles because THE GAY COMMUNITY is angry you don't want to follow their agenda. I'm using this as an example that this whole thing was probably gay ops. Nexus, Banana, Moddb are probably all in the same server somewhere with other pronouns and absolutely would not want this mod seeing the light of day.
