My parents, especially my mother, won't react kindly to me shipping out a resume and getting a job without their know

Well, since I'm assuming you're going to be reliant on your parents for transportation, it would be wise to look at online applications together in your area for larger chain stores. That way you can do applications on a computer that your mom can monitor. @Connor

I think I'm just going to like actively encourage you every time you show up. You clearly want everyone to tell you off so I think it'd be funnier this way.

You're right. You're 21 but fuck if mommy isn't scary.

Fair enough. If you're not driving and you need transportation, it's actually not a bad idea to keep them informed. That said, don't let them coddle you out of doing it either. You're going to submit a resumé and get some kind of work. They just need to know.
AND, should they try to argue against you getting work, I know that if you calmly and rationally explain your side- no whiny teenager bullshit- they'll probably be impressed and go along with it.

He's making up excuses for why he can't do shit. There's literally no point in giving him advice. It will be ignored.

Connor, how does it feel to live a life that's essentially groundhogs day except instead of learning as a person and ending the cycle, you just whine and pretend the day doesn't just start over?

Trust me, I've been lurking this thread since it started. I know he likes excuses and that he's not likely to change any time soon.

The reason I'm not snarking out at him just yet is because someone very close to me shows a lack of initiative very similar to Connor. He responds to it very similarly as well, always acting like he's seen the error of his ways and he'll fix things, but over time, it becomes evident that he won't change shit.

Connor is way younger, though, so I kind of have this hope that if enough people are stern, but encouraging (which a lot of the posts on this thread have been), he might fucking get something done and avoid the fate of the person I know.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with voc rehab about applying for financial aid for school, & tomorrow night I'm helping the residents here make arts & crafts projects/cards for the funeral of another one of our residents who just passed away. All with a raging kidney infection.
Meanwhile you are saying the exact same shit you've been saying for months.
I can't imagine why nobody believes you when you say you're going to do something.

My mind works in mysterious ways. I felt like hating you people for all the things you've said, but at the same time, there is truth in the multitude of posts here. Yes, I am a hardcore lolcow, both on the Internet and IRL. I'm working on it, though.

I like to think of my relationship with the Kiwi Farms as complicated at best. I have every reason to lash out at you all, and I simultaneously laugh at myself. This whole saga has been a comedy, really. Some of the things posted here are hilarious. I'm slowly, but surely, learning to take your criticisms and utilize them to better myself. To confess something wicked, I actually like some of you guys (Hi, @The Knife , you magnificent witch!).

If there's one thing I've learned from this thread, it's that help isn't exactly hugs and kisses.

I don't believe you at all. I've been patient with you for a while now, but you've fucked up one too many times. People here tried their hardest to reason with you and give you constructive criticism, and in response, you go "FUCKY YOU." If you truly wanted to change for the better, you would've listened to them the first time.

The thing is, it doesn't matter how stern anyone is with him, or what advice he is given.

Connor will not change unless he wants to change. But he clearly doesn't. He is content to be a useless, pathetic, whiny fat faggot. We're not his keepers.

Like, I understand what you're doing. I really do. But it's a waste of your time and your kindness.

Hello, Connor! I almost missed you. Silly me, I didn't realize how quickly "I'm-actually-changing-this-time-guys" o'clock comes around.

Did you like my dramatic reading of yours and @Meowthkip's round robin? I might do it for Redesigning Eva.

Can't wait for you to do absolutely nothing and go back to calling us scumbags in a few days.

Hey @Connor still there? Are you a Pokemon fan? Some of us are. We've been putting together a little fanfic of you on your own Pokemon journey based on the classic gen 1 games. Have you read it? My favorite parts are when you sperg out over rival Null doing better than you because trying is hard.

That energy is better directed at ridicule at this point. I'm also starting to think that I should probably dig out my Game Boy Color and copy of Pokemon Blue and use it as a muse for my part of the Pokemon round robin story sometime.
