Congratulations to Mark Doyle and Andy Khouri... you really showed Comicsgate boys, you really did!

Almost their entire Vertigo line was a product of 'Zack Derangement Syndrome' intended to thumb the nose at comicsgaters and Trumpland. You can imagine those two fucknuckles chuckling about how mad the incels are gonna be when they find out that Zoe Quinn will be writing a book. Well done lads, you're internet spat just tanked one of comics most prestigious lines.

I would like to wish Mark Waid all the same success in his work on 'The Inhumans' , which seems intent on continuing the good work of Vertigo's 'Project PWN Comicsgate'.

I'm pretty sure things will go well for.... oh... dear...

PS. Tone down the hyperbole EVS, you're beginning to sound like a slip'n trip lawyer coaching his client for the stand.
Just having fun.

Wouldn't Sega C&D the shit out of him though?

I know jack shit about copyright law, but I think if Chris hustled his Patreon a bit more (as opposed to an Indiegogo campaign or Kickstarter) by actually working on and promoting the book I think he'd be fine considering he wouldn't be making money on the book per se. Not to mention, Sega has a pretty lax attitude when it comes to fan created material.

LOL at that Luna guy, The only people who say that "Asians are basically white" are NPCs when they don't want to admit that Asians have the market cornered in high paying tech jobs and college degrees so they can continue the narrative that only Whitey is allowed to attend college and get successful jobs.

Nah, Sonichu is a completely original character.

But in all seriousness Sega or Nintendo going after Chris for copyright infringement or something while hilarious, probably would never happen. Attacking an exceptional person over what would likely to the companies be a paltry sum of money would, in SJW speak "not be a good look" for companies who rely on exceptional individuals to buy their products.

Since you've already made all your Anti CG "fans" butthurt by posting on here @FROG, how about you REALLY inflame their anuses by declaring that your 88 page Cyberfrog book comes with 14 pages of bonus content. :story:

I think its the market for American comics is just too small. They need to take a page out of the Japanese manga industry and expand their genre appeal.
thats more of a cultural thing, americans mostly buy superhero comics.
the marketsize doesnt realy matter, europe has a fractured and overall smaller market, but the market is also pretty healthy with artists publishing one book per year or less.

That Asian guy’s comics were very bad. Badly drawn and badly written. He should thank the diversity gods he ever had a job in comics at all.
And if so many people want your book, why don’t you run a kickstarter?
I noticed he was pimping out his Patreon in every interview anyways.

Japanese Manga does well in the states despite it not being Superhero related and this is not including Manga sells international

Immortal Hulk, one of Marvel's best-selling books at the moment (currently outselling Batman), is more horror than it is a superhero book. Genre doesn't matter so much as promotion, distribution (as many have stated before the current distribution model is fucked), and - most importantly - quality. There are less American comic readers than ever, and even they won't pick up your book if it's trash.

They have already done that from the very beginning (platinum age) and continue to do so. Just now they been completely overshadowed by their manga counterparts for over 20 years.

A rather long piece from EVS, but talks about WB killing Vertigo (Get Woke Go Broke) and contrasts it with Dynamite who told the SJW's to Fuck Off, started releasing old school sexy Vampirella comics and rockets up the sales charts.

I still find it hilarious. Zoe Quinn killed another business. You Go Girl!

If the comic industry was doing well before the shift, I think they wouldn't have had to look outside the community, but I guess Comicbook fans are partially to blame for the transition. If they just bought more comics to keep the industry afloat. But as was said before by others, the distribution chain needs fixes.

I still think its risky, I recall Shazam getting put under pressure from DC back when Shazam went by Captain Marvel at FC, Even though Shazam was its own character with its own origin story and powers different from Superman.

Nintendo is also very sue happy, not sure about Sega. So Nintendo would put out a C&D.

I think average folks don’t encounter comic books anymore so there isn’t any force that’s channeling people towards the stores.

I love comic book stores but without something to send people there - they are becoming an anachronism.

At the same time much of the consumer base is aging out of the hobby - the larger publishers seem hell bent on alienating the remnants of their consumers - it makes no sense other than a failure of leadership.
