you got a dainty and you want to redesign it? god forbid if they're black or fat and you want to make them white or thin, the mods won't allow you.

Since when has being obese been a 'minority' group. In the good old U.S.A isn't that the majority of people now? I think trying to compare someone wanting to lighten the skin of a character they now own to being harmful to some huge audience is already godawful but to then compare what they think is some sort of racial slight to be just as bad as making a fat dainty thinner is just extremely stupid to bordering offensive.you got a dainty and you want to redesign it? god forbid if they're black or fat and you want to make them white or thin, the mods won't allow you.
and she doesn't free myo events for dainties as she thinks that those would hurt the community (???)Dainty's are shit and so is pajuxi. she cares nothing for customers and gets butthurt at the thought of criticism. That's my TED talk

back with some dainty-related drama over the editing rules.
almost all the anons on csvent seem to be against this rules, but there are some that seem to approve them.
surprise, the rules might be for virtue signaling.

As an overweight woman, I couldn't care less about people turning their fat dainties into skinny, or buff, whatever other body build...hell, its pixels! Dainties are so sexualized sometimes that's it almost feels fetishy. Also that vaporwave vitiligo dainty made by Pajuxi is gross. Jesus, that's not how vitiligo works. They're not fucking dogs with incoherent blobs. Good job on the forced diversity Pajuxi. Do researches next time. Also black people are not the only ones to have vitiligo ffs.

@woke anon. Thats a take. But I'm willing to believe it since they just allowed someone to change a dainties stockings, hair, pale tone to black with vitiligo, and had their danty's top surgery scars changed from a natural old scar look to a red pink stand out color without an edit bow or anything. And honestly that last bit made me uncomfortable considering moat dainties only wear lingerie and the change up feels kinda fetishy to me

All this fuss over a group of expansive drawings. People are really getting their money's worth at this point.back with some dainty-related drama over the editing rules.

The 'best' part is the person putting in those o3o emojis while policing some child's fanart on a fanart website."Or I'll report you" yeah, I can see the admins of Deviantart of all places taking this as a grave situation to be dealt with immediately. The only decent thing about this all is that the creator didn't decide they wanted money for recolors.
I think adoptables are a decent enough concept for making a quick buck. You sell someone a character design, however competent it may be- money is money at the end of the day. It's absolutely lazy- I've sold designs, and it's wonderfully easy to get done, and that's probably why so many people opt to do it at least once (assuming people want your designs). Getting paid for actual commissions requires working under a deadline, you need to specifically follow the commissioner's instructions, etc. But with this, it's a matter of slapping together a design and tossing it out in the void.I never understand how someone can be possessive about something nebulous like a generic designed creature. I never really got the concept of adoptables back then either, tbh.
I remember creating a cat blob character when I was 13. Literally a blob with ears, tail and a face. Me and my friends made scribbles of them for fun. But I guess I missed out on making it a closed species, and getting butthurt about people using the same basic design and having my friends bully random kids on deviantart over it. Darn. Maybe next time.
Huh, for a second I thought these were those Radiant Pikachus from the Radiant-Spirits/Radiant-Hearts DeviantArt group (sadly these groups no longer exist).Needs to be more talk of people taking existing intellectual property, slapping funny markings on it, and being a jealous dingbat about other people doing the same thing.
These are "Cyberchus", TL;DR they're Pikachus with electronic-themed markings and aesthetics. From the looks of it, it's a completely dead concept now, and has been for almost a decade, but I remember seeing them around a lot, and I remember there being a lot of obnoxious drama surrounding them, the creator, and similar/affiliated groups that all amounted to "I swear to god if you slap paint on a Pikachu in a way I deem too similar to how I did, I'm gonna shit and fart"

Slapping funny markings on a wolf and calling it an original, closed species is unoriginal as-is, but the idea of taking someone else's original species, putting squiggles on its body, and then frothing at the mouth possessively over your original, closed, super-exclusive concept is almost parodying itself. I don't think designs necessarily need to be "original" to be good, given that almost all art and designs/concepts are derivative in some way or another, and I think Cyberchus are a cute little gimmick- but I really think it all boils down to how you go about handling it all. If they just admitted "yeah, it's Pikachu with funny markings, anyone could do it- let's not take it too seriously and act like we're in court about it", I really wouldn't even bother mentioning them.
But nah, some poor kid who was obviously very young decided to make their own Cyberchu, clearly out of appreciation, and instead of the creators/collaborators recognizing that, here's a bunch of high schoolers ganging up on a kid who's probably like, eleven. Over a drawing of Pikachu.

I think that they're a fucking Chobits ripoff, that what I fucking think. Here's another closed species I've been looking at for a long while.
They're called 03pyuko, they're basically computer viruses in a form or catgirls or some other hybrid thing. (They also appeared in Japan in 2003.)
Here's some examples.

The prices for the MYO slots are:
Intact: 23€\2600 DA points
Defect: 28€\3100 DA points
And here's one that has way too much going on with their design.
What do you guys think of these?
why is there so much closed species that is just "anime girl with totally unique traits"?Here's another closed species I've been looking at for a long while, before the anime fish people.

Other than than, most of the art for this closed species is pretty good.

I honestly don't know tbh. Probably laziness or something.why is there so much closed species that is just "anime girl with totally unique traits"?
Because some people think cat girls are still all the rage like in the 2000s?why is there so much closed species that is just "anime girl with totally unique traits"?
Adoptables are quick and easy cash grabs. Some artists only have the creative capacity to combine popular things like animals, objects and foods rather than make fleshed out, original ideas.why is there so much closed species that is just "anime girl with totally unique traits"?

What's sad is that I give my characters less when it comes to design. Unless I wanted to draw a character wearing decora or something. But that's different than adoptables though.someone said it in this thread way earlier i think, but this is definitely proof that these are meant to be collected, not replicated. who the everloving fuck is going to remember all those details when drawing this bitch? less is more, fucksake.
