My apologies for only bringing up this species. It's the only one I'm familiar with and I do not have the mental energy to traverse within other CS groups and their bullshit. From what I've seen they are still very popular and very active.

In the chat lounge users will get upset if no one acknowledges them or answers their question within the very minute they ask

Users abandon redesigning their chimereons and opt instead to trade them off because the redesign guide is so strict and you need to purchase more items from the shop if the moderators see you've unknowingly applied another trait like an extra fucking color or you removed something you need to put back. This occurs between the mods as well.

Good luck getting any artist to draw this in a commission. You might as well pay as much as you originally paid for it in complexity fees.

"Complexity" fees my ass, I'd straight up charge astronomical "fuck you" fees for these abominations. He paid $650, fuck you, I'd charge $700 minimum for the hours I'd never get back attempting to recreate this mess. Him and anyone else with an overdesigned donut steel.

toyhouse user hexlure/gavin owns the closed species tomoyokis and is another popular artist. he says hes Jewish and uses this to garner money off of the fact that he is personally affected by antisemitism drama in the closed species community.
This includes the several callouts of people who were outed as either being edgily antisemitic or Neo-Nazis (ATOM). he also felt "personally hurt" when a Mignyan paypig was banned for having a military inspired OC due to this perceived anti Semitism.
He also reserves the right to revoke OCs (take them back without compensation) at his discretion for this.

you can basically trace his moms lineage back to where Columbus landed and none of them are Jewish. the only one unaccounted for is his dads mom who seems to be out of the picture entirely, but if that's true (and she was the jewish one) then that means Gavin is as ethnically Jewish as every other white Christian military family in Ohio. never practiced Judaism a day in his life. And what legal barring do they even have on you? They are lending ownership of a design to someone else, in which said someone can do whatever they'd like to said design. If they don't own the design anymore, they can't control whenever you "detrans" or "lighten up" said adopt.

in reality there shouldn't ever be any concern in what you do when it comes to art- art is conceptual and mailable, no trans person gets killed in the untransing process.
but youre operating under the implication that these people perceive a trans man as a man, or a trans woman as a woman. they percieve them as trans, first and foremost- thats their sole identity, all else is hardly secondary.

Ideally, you would hope that they wouldn't insist on making their OC's mentally ill and suicidal, but this is one area that the furries overlap with tumblr. For a community with a great deal of flexibility with character designs, self-insert wolves/large dogs/cats are remarkably common.
 
What seems to piss CS users off even more is if you ask them if they're willing to trade/resale their characters. I notice it's very aggressive with people who own Dainties, Grems, and of course Chimereons. In the server where they trade/sell their dog lizards, this user seems to be putting a whole shit ton of their characters up for trade ("dreamies" a priority)

I understand if it's annoying to be asked if their characters are up for offer repeatedly, but what exactly do you do here? Wait for their permission to offer on these characters or get blocked??? I guess they aren't that special to block people over if they're putting them out to be traded.

Mignyans came out with their June batch. Word is going around that they apparently copied Kokomi from Genshin Impact.

While I can't say for sure, doing a bit of research pulls up that pearls are a major part of Kokomi's lore and also the "Leafy sea dragon" motif seems to also be inspired by her species/story. In any case, I would not pay actual money for an OC that was clearly made as an homage to an existing character in fiction.

someone also mentioned them copying a small Russian artist for the design on the left but I have no other info so take that with a grain of salt soz
 
i will openly shoot genshin fans or just anime fans for being "this design copied genshin impact character!!" , nothing is unique anymore (especially in oc designs) both are just animu pink hair with sea animal motifs (right one adding jellyfish though)

both designs are just kind of mid generic overdesigned

Both designs barely look in any way similar outside of pink hair and a leafy sea dragon motif, what the fuck are you on?
