It's not a super original twist, to be fair. I'm pretty sure the locked away unwanted child is a trope in many stories set in older periods.
 
Unsure about you guys but I found scratches to be an annoying goddamn adventure game with tons of clicking everywhere and the unforgiveable sin (to my recollection) of having things that you couldn't interact with before, suddenly be interactable based on some advance in the story, forcing you to recheck previously "cleared" rooms. The spooks were legit though, shame they were just so inconsistent. Great atmosphere overall.
 

I swear Gman has a thread but I'm so sick of this dude re-reviewing the same games over and over and over. He already Alien Trilogy a couple of years ago. Now he's doing it again.

Don't know whether he's being lazy or George Lucasing his old reviews or a combo of both but since I never saw the originals I don't really care. Dude puts out content regularly though, no way around it.

He doesn't have enough authority in his voice for pimping, the hoes would flip him off and walk away on their first day. This is just a round about way to say that his voice going up in pitch at the end of every. fucking. sentence. bugs me. His videos aren't bad it's just the voice for me. Mandalore is in a similar boat, he can have some decent videos and decent jokes but he's got the energy of a 3rd grader reading his book report in front of the class when recording the audio. Coincidentally the thing that turned me away from Civvie the first time I clicked on the video was the voice, being completely unfamiliar with him I didn't understand that it was the voice of his character who is an obnoxious dick&douche in the style of Duke Nukem.

What I can't stand is the sudden over reliance on the smile app thumbnails. What is up with that anyway? It just comes off as incredibly lazy and cheap.

Especially considering last year he had what looked to be original art for his thumbnails. Sure, they might have been directed towards coomers but I'd sure as hell rather see that pop up in my suggestions box than this crap consistently.

Yeah it's one of those trends that I'm really sick of seeing. I guess it's a slight edge over a greyscale chad edit or something like that but it's worn its welcome out just as quickly.

It's not a RCTW clone, it actually predates it by a couple of years. It's not a great game but it has some time travel in it plus it's short and uses some neat rendering tricks for the time. It is vidya curiosa. The reason I thought of it was because I confused Malachi for Mortyr.

The dude did mention fixing problems with the original game. The #1 problem are the maps themselves. Making the maps flow better and be less cryptic and just delete the fucking sewer level and it would be a very good little Boomer Shooter. Bonus points if he fixes the random damage and the spread on the shotty and you're done.
