Why are there so many gates?
Shit usually makes lots of money, I'm actually kind of surprised this cartoon version has seemingly bombed the way it has, that whole "community" seems about as fagtastic as comics and vidya and both of those blew up with seemingly no resistance at all.
Why am I not surprised that this bullshit was Adult Swim's doingBad things do happen in the animation industry. There are many stories of people in the industry who have been abused, treated horribly, I could go on. And yes, these things ought to be confronted.

I dunno, they've been doing it since Watergategate for some reason. Why does when any from of controversy comes up it just gets the suffix -gate now of days is beyond me but honestly this has to be dumbest reason to start one .
The Sonic fandom is already too far gone to have a worthwhile "-gate", and I'd say there are not enough conservative Bronies to have a "-gate".
I'm guessing the Sonic fandom is a caste system based on how many layers of autism you're on. Not that other fandoms aren't like that too. They already tried shit like that back in the 2000s, specifically by creating forum boards for Sonic purists who refuse to acknowledge anything past the first three games and if they were feeling adventurous, Sonic & Knuckles. The one I ran into specifically had rules against discussing the cartoons, the anime, comics, manga, ect.
And yeah, most of it is unconfirmed garbage but the black-list thing is probably 100% true if you don't have the right politics. Its been this way in comics for a long while. An even smaller, more incestuous industry is going to have it.
What?
What?
Well, when it comes to people like EZPZ's insider, you can get blacklisted for threatening people with knives and drawing creepy waifu drawings of Pearl from Steven Universe, too. So it's nice to know it's not exclusively political.
