Because they literally, not figuratively, believe that watching something makes you believe it. And that if you don't watch something or aren't exposed to something, it makes you not believe it.

They have academic gibberish to tip-toe around these points, but this is really what it is. They believe that humanity is a somehow a blank slate and we're imprinted on the world around us. This is not possible. Tabula Rasa is a circular theory. Because if we're a blank slate, we require the mechanisms for that slate to be etched upon. It doesn't mystically happen. So if we have mechanisms to write upon that slate, then we are not a blank slate. Hence tabula rasa is a logical fallacy. I don't need to be in STEM to tell you this. Philosophy 101 disproves Tabula Rasa.

Their entire philosophy and theory of the world is based upon a logical fallacy. They're basically equivalent to people thinking that if children see Superman fly, children will jump off roof-tops. Except they expand that to the whole of humanity. That's why they shove this shit into shows and everything.

The problem is the world doesn't work this way. The more people see an ideological bent all around them and look at their world and they experience a dissonance, they rebel against it. This is why you see this massive right-wing rise basically across the world. This dissonance is only prevented one way: through violence. Which is why no communist state has ever existed in the world without violent, non-democratic authoritarianism.

This certainly can explain the reason why the hacks in the animation industry are trying to slip their nonsense politics in alleged children's cartoons where they can't understand that stuff. I hope that the next generation of animators will allow children's content to be children's content or if they want more complex messages, make their own animated show aimed more at weebs and adults.
 
Is this "cartoongate" even a thing? I'm not interested in gamergate and briefly seen comicsgate thread, but those are quite big movements.
So far that cartoongate is one youtube video and 4chan posts that not even mention potential #cartoongate tag in any way.

This is just somehting to let burn and then fizzle out. And then go watch some anime, instead. Honestly, I know for a FACT the industry involved needs some serious changes, if not a complete overhaul / upheaval (i.e.: clearing out the SJW BS.), I agree - they're not coming through with this nonsense. They never were going to like this, either, as this is similarly what is obviously leading to comic books being outdone by manga sales, only much more embarrassing to behold, let alone listen in on.

No, its more ret.arded. Their ideas actually have no basis in biology. They basically believe in the object permanence theory of belief. If you don't see patriarchy, it can't exist, so if you get rid of all things that look like patriarchy, it won't exist.

That is incredibly strange. I've heard of content having an "influence" on people but I've never heard this bold faced "you're literally programmed by media" argument. Does this logic mean that if I play Hatred that I'll go on a spree shooting in a sewer or if I play Halo I'll go shoot illegal immigrants? Does it mean that if I play Grand Theft Auto that I'll literally commit grand theft auto? If I play Hitman I'll become a killer for hire? Where's the line and where does it reach its limits? Does it even have limits?

It is an intensely bullshit argument and I've detailed the problems with it in some of my other posts on the site (mainly that the argument denies people agency), but I should mention that I have no idea what this is responding to. A largely-debunked video? A movement that doesn't exist?

Officially? No, but they're trying their damnedest to make it one. Or they were before it became apparent all of this super secret leaked content was from a notorious supersperg. I don't think PZ and his backers over at /co/ were expecting people to find out about that so quickly and it seems to have taken a lot of the wind out of their sails.

That is terrible as that is the first thing that children really learn about is object permanence and that just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it is gone. What you are telling us is that they are operating on the logic of a 2 year old, that is terrifying.

Well you have to do what you can to coddle the minds of your people so they won't think for themselves or step out to ways that might run counter to what we want. That is what it boils down to with folks like that, which is why those apart of the No Fun League will always lose.
