If we're just using the MCU I'd go

Great: Iron Man 1&3, GotG 1&2, Winter Soldier, IW
Good: Thor 3, Civil War, Homecoming (still need to actually finish it), Ant-Man
Meh: Thor 1&2, Captain America 1, Iron Man 2, Black Panther
Trash I've no intention of ever watching: Age of Feetron, Captain Marvel

Haven't seen Dr. Strange or Ant-Man 2 and I think that's all of them I dunno. At this point I'm burned out on the Marvel brand of capeshit because it's almost always the same formula so I was gonna call quits after Endgame even before all this shit with CM. If they're legit dumb enough to make her actually integral to the finale that's all the more reason.

Doctor Strange, I think, is overall pretty good (though the villains were some of the weakest EVER in the MCU). Benedict Cumberbatch carries it, honestly. He's really great in the role. Good trippy visuals, too.

Ant-Man 2 is ... Ok at best. The first one is faaaaaarrrrr superior. It's not a terrible movie or anything, but there are lots of contrivances in the story (especially at the end), and they made Ant-Man a dummy to make the Wasp look good. There are some things I enjoyed about the movie well enough though, and Paul Rudd is ... Paul Rudd. He's likable.

To be honest, in terms of story, I bet that Captain Marvel is on the same level of quality as something like Doctor Strange and Ant-Man 2. The thing that people like about Doctor Strange and Ant-Man, though, is that the actors are charismatic and charming to watch on screen. Carol Danvers seems to be the equivalent to watching a block of wood move, and I bet audience won't respond to this movie well because the lead character is so dull.

I don't hate Thor 2. I really don't. I recognize that it's probably the worst movie of the MCU. However, I still find some things to enjoy about it. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are just so dang charming on screen that they carry the entire movie. Even when a movie is weak, having likable lead characters makes all of the difference in the world, and it clearly looks like Captain Marvel lacks that.

Age of Ultron is the perfect example of how Infinity War would've looked if it came out badly. Waste of a villain, too many characters and subplots to focus on, stupid jokes that cut the tense moments, and the only characters that die are the ones nobody gives a fuck about.

Fuck that film.

I liked Ragnarok a lot. Sure, it's pretty quippy but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh my ass off the entire time. Plus I REALLY like the colossal bitch Azula-esque angle they went for Hela.

I haven't even seen this movie and probably won't but nonetheless I'm certain Spider-Gwen in Into the Spiderverse was a better female marvel superhero than Captain Larson.

Hela was one of the only good MCU villains.

The best part about Captain Marvel is all the REEEing of critics fucking pissed that a lot of people prefer Alita.
I'm still curious how they got the idea that "it's a typical man thing" to "pit two unrelated women against each other for their own personal gain" and any in-fighting is the result of it. That's a male stereotype I've never heard before.

Though most of the critics I've seen that take from happen to be men themselves so that's an odd can of worms.

That's the most bizarre thing to me: most everyone involved with this shit is men. Sure Brie fired off all this shit and there are some lady Blue-checkmarks up to foolishness on Twitter like always, but if you go to any CM Facebook or Twitter post the top posts are always "Came to see butthurt toxic nerds, not disappointed ;D <3" and it's always men saying that.

It's also mostly white males bitching about racial issues on behalf of blacks and browns.

Where would you put The Incredible Hulk even though that is MCU movie that is never talked about?

I honestly thought Ultron was okay. I know people say it’s one of the weakest MCU movies, and I agree, but there were a lot of moments I really enjoyed.

That was almost 40 minutes of Joss Whedon doing the screenwriting equivalent of jerking off on his shirt.

Whedon had a lot of talent back in his early days when he wasn't up on his high horse and occasionally got to write something dramatic. He's borderline unbearable to listen to now though, especially since he started the trend of everything being jokey in the MCU.

I just can't get over those goddamn barn-scenes. That was almost 40 minutes of Joss Whedon doing the screenwriting equivalent of jerking off on his shirt.
That’s fair. Definitely wasn’t thinking of any of the barn stuff with I said there were moments I liked.
