Obviously there's going to be lots of n=1 anecdotal reports depending on where one shops across the border in the US, given how huge it is.
My experience is that the selection is way better for most things but pricing has so much variance even before factoring in the exchange rate.
One thing I notice is their discount brands for some products are drastically reduced as we don't have a Canadian equivalent. But a lot of their name brand products are the same price as back home or even higher before taking on the 40%+ Leaf penalty.
Some discount options for things are really cheap even with the exchange markup: gasoline, beer, discount liquor brands, OTC drugs like allergy meds, Pepto, painkillers, juice crystals, discount soda, cheese
, etc.Other things are marked up for reasons I can't explain: potato chips, name brand liquor, name brand soda, juice & sports drinks, produce, take out meals, electronics, etc.

I used to think I'd never want to live elsewhere than my home country.... And now I'd take an offer like that in a heartbeat, even at the cost converting my (meager) savings into USD would bringTrump could one-two Carney by offering asylum status to us Canucks.

If any countries actually do manage to recover their sovereignty from these mass immigration traitors following this upsurge in protests, they will absolutely need to put some serious thought into what they do with all these pro-sandnigger/streetshitter/illegals/etc (extremists) 'protestors', or else this crowd will absolutely just continue trying to constantly reset the overton window again over the next decades

Look into Linesman. Literally after any major hurricane, icestorm, tornado, etc., Canadian linesman are always heading south for repairs. After a couple years, apply for any position in the US since we use the same electric standards. I went to Tampa after Milton to visit a friend and we went to Lightning-Canucks game, and lo and behold linesman from Vancouver were at the game because they were helping restore power.

For me, would be a dream to emigrate to the US. Things aren't that good down south either, necessarily-
but in comparison to Canada deciding that 1/4 people needed to be Indian (I reiterate, we went from a population of roughly 31 million people to 39 million people, all through Indian immigration, over the past 5 years) things are nowhere the same in the US.
The way I picture the US, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be closer to what Canada was before 2019. Not really ideal, certainly giving millennials and zoomers a raw deal, it has its own crises in small towns and the rust belt- but theres also economic vibrancy in certain areas, and much more opportunity.
Where I wound up was international, and mostly in Europe. I took the ESL route out, and would recommend it while people still have the opportunity. Compared to Canada, its a lot more lucrative and safer. The only real catch is that its harder to put down actual roots, and you will have to learn a foreign language if you do (or you should, eventually). For example, functional Korean helped when I was there.
Now the thread is full of a lot of black pills. I remember trying to give some white pills much earlier on about people forming their own communities innawoods, etc.
If you want to look towards what you can do in the future though, for people still in Canada- its more grim, but not without precedent to learn from. Imo, look at other states and how they have handled mass migration, or mass demographic changes.
The only real ones I can think of would be places in the middle east, or South Africa.
Maybe well see the return of segregated or gated communities, like in Saffa. HOA were once famous for barring black people, though with the caveat that they would do so not based on race but on [insert other random characteristic]. I could see that happening in Canada, ironically from liberal people first. Maybe we could see widerspread segregation- but thats doubtful as it infringes upon charter rights.
I'm not one to advocate for genocide, as Id consider it a disgusting concept that only brown people or spiritually brown people do, but basically- were in for a rough next few years. What do you guys think about the protest happening on September 13th? I saw it mentioned here a day or two ago to minimal reaction. I knew about it for a while, though I wasn't quite sure how legit it was at that point. However, it's managed to generate quite an interesting reaction over the past few days.
The event is organized by Joe Anidjar, leader of a group called "Canada First" which seems to have somewhat blurry origins. All the info on Google are from left leaning sources that report it as a "white supremacy hate group," but looking into the origins of the Joe's last name make me seriously doubt that, especially since the little bit of info that's being shared around seems to be about a group also called Canada First that's lead by a completely different person.

Anidjar is not someone I've heard about, but probably not a nobody judging from the follow count. Last name or not, his main goal is to stop the immigration and begin deportation, and I believe that's something we can all get behind. The protest itself doesn't seem to be anything crazy, seeing as it's hosted by some Canadian dad on twitter who, on the surface, is as milquetoast of a conservative you can get.
However, as we get closer to that date, I'm seeing quite a lot of postings reporting it as a hate rally, even calling out for action to counter-protest.

However, regardless of the pushback, the protest doesn't seem to be losing traction and might be picking up speed, even gaining attention from UK politician Tommy Robinson. Whether you like the guy or not, you have to admit you don't get the attention of a decently sized politician without doing something of significance.
This COULD be big. Anything that makes Canadian left sweat is a good sign. This negative promotion might be a blessing in disguise, as they could be unwittingly drawing attention of this event to the "wrong people" and bringing more attendees as a result. The rally itself doesn't seem like much from first glance, but all of the left ironically seem to be making a bigger deal out of it than it is, and that could really work to its advantage. Really, it all depends on how many actually show up in the end. I'm also quite curious if the supposed counter-protests will go anywhere. Either way, if something as seemingly mild as this is scaring them, then something here is being done right. Fingers crossed. We should remember that while the trucker protesters were completely abused by the government as a consequence, their work still lead to an end of the COVID madness. If the event is successful, same should apply here, consequences be damned. Let's try and be hopeful for once.

I was around when Charlottesville happened and while a lot of sensible people or normies or whatever signed on to preserve the right of people to preserve their heritage (not commenting morally there on whether it's right or wrong, just on the fact that society should not be the deciding factor on individual morality),
It got coopted by neonazis and retards, and the moment one of the far right larpers ran over a chick in a panic (real smooth) everyone got condemned.
Same thing with Jan 6th and people arguing that there was potential voter fraud (there always is, but to what degree is debatable) and retards screaming about a stolen election co opted it.
I'm not going to prescribe morality here either, but I will give you my honest advice.
Regardless of what happens, at best this will wind up like occupy wall street. A bunch of people yelling, people on both sides taking photos on social media, leftist politicians having a convenient boogyman to rally against, and nothing happening.
You bring up the truckers protest, and while it forced the hand in some ways, by that point Canada was the only western state to not actually lift the COVID vaccine mandates and the writing was already on the wall. Saying that, it still took months for them to actually remove these mandates, well after the government had already arrested everyone with the military and made them all boogymen.
Needless to say, at worst, something goes down, and now you're a neonazi because of some retards.
It's not worth it to go these protests, and not even going to comment on how this might glow- but you have to ask yourself, what do you seriously hope to achieve by going there? There's a much greater chance that you'll wind up on a CSIS watch list than there is that you will convince people to change their opinion when it was already made up a decade ago. If you want to feel like you're not alone, you have the internet for that. Some countries even offer specific short-term visas for digital nomads - i.e., professionals that do most of their work, sometimes even gig work, online.
If you want to stay long-term in a country, look into what professions are in-demand there. In most countries, advanced scientific roles, manual trade roles, and healthcare roles are all in-demand. Most governments will have a list of these in-demand professions somewhere on their official websites. If you already have the qualifications or experience necessary for those roles, then you're in the clear: if not, you'll have to think about going back to school or switching career paths.
Once you have your destination in mind, and you've figured out how you'll get there, and you've done as much research as you can: speak to an immigration lawyer. They can help you sort your ideas, answer your questions, and make sure your plan is as good as it can be.
From there, the only thing left is really to tie up all your loose ends in Canada - say goodbye to friends and family, figure out what you're going to do with your stuff, make arrangements in case of the unfortunate, etc.

Fortunately for the other rallies they've managed to keep up the momentum despite pushback at opening protests (NSN getting the mic in AU, counter protests in Bongistan, etc), but with how cucked Canada is the bar of success for a movement on this sort of issue actually hitting mainstream appeal (especially by choosing to start in Toronto of all places) is definitely going to take much stricter requirements of conduct on their side of things & how bad the material they give MSM to spin for clips comes off

Pretty rich that retired former commie NDP Charlie Angus is agitating for a counterprotest & violence in the name of "punching nazis" like 90 years ago for a protest in a park in Toronto. Charlie is supposed to be living in Cobalt, ON, which is closer to James Bay than it is Lake Ontario.

In terms of these protests itself, they aren't openly endorsed by Diagolon & Jeremy MacKenzie, which represents a niche & small segment of the far-right here at home.
MacKenzie, after the relative violent defeat at the convoy and the complete cringe shitshow that the RW Freedom movement devolved into in the subsequent 3 years, is preaching to his followers that the time for protesting & flag waving is over. He's quietly promoting more militia-like, Patriot Front clones, find your frens Active Clubs as the next dissident solution and distancing himself, his associates and his followers from the upstart public RW protest movements of the day.
MacKenzie's Second Sons Active Club org actually celebrated their 1 year anniversary over Labour Day weekend, gathering nationally for the first time with about 75 guys in Niagara Falls doing masked Patriot Front performative marches at an Isaac Brock monument in from of Muzzie women and trying to hold up Brock as an alt-right Canuck George Washington figure. I'll probably make a post about it sometime later.
Now Diagolon & MacKenzie is really just a meme podcast and I believe their numbers to be relatively small & quite dispersed (They claim they have are being just overwhelmed by applications to their regional Second Sons Active Clubs. And can't keep up with demand vetting candidates). But MacKenzie is a very influential voice on the Canadian dissent scene and he does have a cult of personality thing going on. So if Jer declares a RW mass migration protest fake & ghey, much like Fuentes & the Groypers, all the Dags will fall in line, mock it mercilessly on social media, withdraw support and create new fault lines within the Canadian dissident space.
That being said, MacKenzie and his main lieutenant Ferryman's Toll/Alex Vriend, have been posting non-stop in affirmative support of the anti-immigration protests in Eppings, UK and the National Socialist Network Nazi marches in Australia with Thomas Sewell.
So while I haven't seen the Dags commenting specifically on the upcoming Christie Pits protest organized by a relative nobody, they will have to thread the needle to justify why they love their UK & Aussie brothers contemporaneously holding similar rallies while poopooing somewhat milder civnat ones at home in their own backyard.
