TODAY is the DAY that NO ONE has been talking about. Literally no one! No one cares! I've heard absolutely nothing about this! Wow!

as you can see, a bunch of guys no one has ever heard of us going up against some lady. They all need many more seats than she currently has. Will she lose her seats and her socks? Only CANADA can decide this.

I don't even know how this shit works, so lets simplify the poll to: "Will Trudeau's Liberal party hold the majority?"

Is this final?
What the fuck do the French even vote for? Are they liberal or conservative leaning?

They are the gibsmedat party. Basically leverage their seats for federal handouts.

Still unofficial totals, but if it holds up, it would hilarious, more interesting than the entire election has been.

Wait, a party getting more votes but less seats and thus loosing? It reminds me of something, but I just can't put my finger on it...
That's pretty common here tbh. I suspect it is in most parliamentary systems.

On the whole, it was about as well as could be expected for the anti-left. Conservatives outperforming them with the popular vote won't be lost on Trudeau, and he may have to tone down his exceptionalism. IE, his over reach on minor issues like guns may be somewhat more moderated. The Liberals and the NDP lost a sizeable number of seats (35 between them, while Conservatives gained 25).

I wish Ontario didn't have so much power in our system, though. Our province is like California in that regard, and just as full of exceptional individuals.

Any chance BQ or NDP demands the Liberals toss out Justin in exchange for propping them up?

Also will that propping up the Liberals lead to them being more (not less) exceptional?

Lolcow Styx vlogged and others Youtubers talked about Justin in these comments.
Silly Goose
Imagine losing to the blackface candidate. How bad were the others running?

Sadly the problem is worse than you know. Andrew Scheer was a major problem. He's a spineless milquetoast, an even worse Mitt Romney like character and the Conservative Party made him leader via a corrupt process and against the grass roots of the party. With the media firmly in Trudeau pockets literally ( as he gives them 650 million a year to stay afloat ) and with now so much of our population new non-white immigrants who seem to all vote Liberal we're done.... And as for that minority government the NDP are out right commies and will go along with every leftist idea Lady Justin comes up with.

@wood1155 problem gets worse. No sooner is Scheer booted to the curb Jethro will call another election and they'll win a majority.

I wonder how Mittens will feel today to be compared to Andrew Scheer in the following comment? :story:

Andrew Scheer is the Mitt Romney of Canada

The French just vote for the party they think will give them the most free shit and let them do whatever they want.

As much as I hate them they are smart exploiting the Canadian system as much as possible, getting all the benefits like free western money, while having none of the drawbacks. Whenever they do something that goes against the laws in Canada they get away with it because Canadian parties fear pissing off Quebec more than anything.

I don't really agree with the Drawback stateman. We're have too much taxes...exemple: Take your salary and remove 20 % of it. That's our taxes. Add everything you buy with 20 % of the price. Also, take your pay and remove the % tax for CSST, Retirement, insurance and also, if you have one , your syndicate. You are sick? It's free of course but pay your obligatory pill insurance and also, remember not everything is free. We'll get you cancer free with no fees but you better pay your hospital bed. And we'll take a long long time to heal you as it's free. I hope you don't die. And our pills are not cheap and not everything goes to insurance. Remember the 20 % ?. It applies here too. If people in Ontario want to test it....go to Gatineau. Everything else, I agree with you. But imagine being in our place:

CAQ gouvernment is a result of Quebec being VERY tired of being forced to take immigrant and getting spat on . Bloc winning in Quebec is the sign we have no confidence in Liberal. You weren't there when we had a Curfew because the federal gouvernment was tasked to deal with us like communists. Quebec seem to have forgotten that in 2015 that Trudeau is Pierre Eliot Trudeau's son who did this . You weren't there when just being french was a reason to get lower pay then the english. You also weren't there when we fought for having the french langage an official language for us. Bill 22 was one of our victory quebecer felt against the english. All of this helped Quebec to distance themself from Canada. That's why Quebec votes for it's own agenda, as they fear assimilation. Of course there are independentist but Quebecer votes for people that can defend them.

If I can explain Null what is Quebec's wing, it's depends of it's agenda. 2015 was Liberal and we learn the cost. It also fuel Liberal hate for years to come. In 2011, it was NDP. In 2008 , it was the Bloc. It's always changing.

Also, I want my gun's right :( .

EDIT: I suck at English. My bad .

Hah, no. Based on the lack of people talking about it, seems like coalition is off the table since the Liberals have a plurality of seats. It would probably have been seriously considered if they were otherwise looking at a small Conservative minority but there's no point to doing something that goes so against traditional Canadian politics when you already have the right to form a government.

Lol, voting in the guy who sucked off Castro's dick multiple times yet again. This truly is a country that waited for freedom instead of taking it by force as soon as they could.

Nah, I love you guys but damn, being across the bridge is like having a front row seat to this clusterfuck.

He is still going to need them to pass the governments policies though. Any chance they ask for Justin's head and threaten to let the conservatives bring in hell

The Cons would have won a minority if they had someone other than the Pillsbury Dough boy running.

The Conservatives in Newfoundland have salted the earth for the Federal Conservatives and it will be very hard for them to win there again. They got into a slapfight with this guy:

Who was the most popular politician in Canadian history at the time, and he Allahu Akbared the federal Conservatives into oblivion where they used to always reliably pick up 2-3 of the 7 seats in Newfoundland.

I'm personally disgusted that we're at the point in Canada where we can't even get a cuckservitive government in power anymore.

It's just a symptom of people people are dissident in Canada really. At least the cuck liberal cannot do anything than to sucks cocks and hope they did well in sucking. Conservative needs to changes their chef right now., can be helpful en the future.

At least, Sophie Labelle is happy with her dumb independant view. Go you.

I worked the polls for the first time. I was a Deputy Returning Officer. In essence, I was in charge of the ballots, both who received one and the counting and reporting of ballots cast for about 650 potential voters. I learned a whole lot about how elections work in Canada. Here are a few take aways from my experience:
  • Anyone can vote. We did not turn away a single voter. No ID? Someone can vouch for you and you can vote. Moved? Name change? Any manner of circumstance and there is a way and a form to see that you get your vote. No one asks for proof citizenship - ever.
  • The vast majority (greater than 95% IMO), come to the polls with their Voter ID card and ID ready to cast their ballot.
  • Training and remuneration were insufficient. I had less than 4 hours of training in which I was expected to learn a foreign nomenclature, what to do in every unique situation and how to properly count, report and return every ballot, form and supply used. The biggest deficiency was in the counting and reporting. I had to rely on others to keep on track at the end of the day. I am paid a set amount of $271.65 for the day plus $53.25 for training. On election day I worked from 8:30 AM until 11:30 PM, (15 hours). All told, it worked out to $17.10 per hour before taxes. It was a very long day with no real breaks. At lunch time you still have another 12 hours to work.
  • Everything is paper. Names are crossed off the list with a ruler and pen. The system is extremely inefficient and expensive.
  • I happened to encounter more than a dozen 30 or 40 somethings that were casting their first ballot. Interesting.
  • About half of my voter's list cast a ballot including the advanced polls. It looks like that will be close to the national average.
It was an interesting experience. I am not likely to do it again. I will however apply to work the US 2020 election polls. I am a dual citizen about to move back to the US and am curious as to how the process compares.

Without revealing too much about my power level, I own a small rural tourism based business with 12-15 full time employees that make close to minimum wage plus tips. If a $15 Federally mandated minimum wage goes through which the Liberals and NDP both promised, I am completely fucked. With the employer portion of CPP & EI, it's going to cost me nearly $150k a year. The salary I draw myself is in the high five figures, but it doesn't break six figures before taxes, and the profit after everyone including myself gets paid doesn't break $50k. I'll have to fire a bunch of people and raise prices or there will literally be nothing left for me. Thanks Canada! Fuck you too.

I don't see anyone else forming the government, but both the Bloc and NDP will hold a sword over the Liberals, watering down or making bills more exceptional as the case may be. Most will end up irrational messes, likely. Of course, the bills will be wtaered down in ways to sway some Conservative members as well. Our system is slightly less polarized than the American one, and I doubt a minority Liberal government will be overly effective.

I could be wrong on that, though. I personally know two of the NDP MPs elected, and they are both insufferable people. Complete zealots.

The worse part of this is that I'm going to have to continue to see that worthless cunt Trudeau larping as a statesman.

Any chance his own party shanks him?

If it means staying in power they'll do it in a heartbeat.

I'm numb. No matter who's in power the military get fucked over sideways every single time. The treasury board is controlled by politicians and they'll cut military spending to prop up these stupid laws. Hell half of Canada doesn't even know we exist. Again... Numb.
