A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I'm finding it quite lol that Labour's so very keen to promote that they have the first ever blacky as 2nd in command. Wow.
They also want us to know they have three chicks holding the other most important roles (except for PM, obvs). It's their best ever.

It just reminds us of the fact that the Tory party has had three birds as PM, the first non-White PM and a Black lady as the current leader of the opposition. This has happened even though Labour is much more DEI than any Tory.

This is obviously because Labour likes to use all women shortlists and chooses minority candidates for the optics, whereas grown-up parties run as a meritocracy. Tory MPs have risen through the ranks on merit; Labour will promote any old slag, just because she's got a fanny between her legs. Rayner, for example, and Rachel from accounts. And that Lammy twat.

No woman hate, but an all woman shortlist leads to a non-zero chance that you're excluding the best person for the MP job. That's the Labour party's play. It may be why Conservatives have historically given us all the female leaders. Labour haven't.

Here's an excellent song about bumming a girl with dark skin (not Kemi)...

(And then, readers, I married an attractive blonde.)

Don’t remember one person saying Liz Truss was binned just because she’s a woman but it’s all I’ve seen from pathetic Liebour shills about Rayner since yesterday.

Kemi is an anchor baby and still runs on Africa time. She didn’t hide anything about the grooming gangs because she didn’t know anything about them. She turned up late and missed the meeting.
De-fucking-port

The Chuckle Brothers definitely aren't on the list, great guys and nobody has a bad word to say about them.

Most of the ones I have heard of either do or have worked for the BBC, a few haven't done any BBC work as far as I am aware.
Can confirm that the Chuckle Brothers were decent lads, through second hand anecdotes. I never knew Neil Buchanan but he seems a decent sort.

The sad one was Mark Speight. Like Buchanan, he presented a kids' art show called SMart. Lovely bloke.
One morning he found his partner dead in the bath. She'd ODd.
He was obviously destroyed by the discovery. He also knew his career was over; a bit of cocaine is too much bad press for a children's TV presenter. He loved that woman and he loved his job.

Finding his girlfriend dead was too much for him, and he wouldn't want to put any of his loved ones through something similar. I guess that's why he hanged himself from a roof near Paddington Station where a member of public would find him. Poor sod.

I like to believe that Neil Buchanan is squeaky clean, though.

There's no industry more cut throat then television, it doesn't matter what kind of television either. The claws would come out for Price Drop TV presenters.

The reason why practically everyone in TV has a "this person is a cunt because..." story about them is because it benefits those who want their spot to massively exaggerate a time they weren't in the best of moods.

That the Chuckle Brothers in their 200 years of TV (and about 100 years doing comedy in working man's clubs before that) don't have a single bad story about them really is a testament to how nice they are and how much they value every fan and everyone they work with.

Miss ya Barry.

In the aftermath of the Rayner event, it seems more than likely that known evidence was fed to Starmer so that he could enact a reshuffle on the orders of...?
Looking at the new cabinet, two things are apparent; Lord Ali must be a happy man tonight and there's an argument to be made that staffing the upper echelons of a political party with women of moral-repute is a bad idea.

The Chuckle Brothers did nothing wrong, evidenced by their regular venues been those shared by Redcoats and not frequenting high level BBC shindigs.
A real shame that Scholefield never got the public, moral and literal kicking his slimy, weasel-esque personality deserves.

It's essentially the exact move they did when they got in. They bragged about having the most diverse cabinet every, now most of them had to be removed for being utterly incompetent or actually criminal slightly over year later their new plan is to do the exact same thing again.

Why do I have a horrible feeling the next 4 years are going to look very similar?

For what it's worth, I used to work with a close relative of his. Apparently he's retired to become a boring old man who is really into birdwatching. It all sounded quite heartwarming.

I’ve heard a lot of stories about a former squeaky clean crisp salesman who got sacked after JQing too blatantly and I can’t believe those stories aren’t in the press.

I’ve no idea how he got away with the behaviour for so long but it’s still covered up.

Anyway, never trust a man with 100% politically correct opinions.

Edit: we didn’t deserve The Chuckle Brothers. They were too pure for us.

MP reveals body transformation on Mounjaro after dropping from size 24 to 10:
There is something wrong with how the quack-pushed, faux-diet medication like Mounjaro, Wegovy and their ilk are pushed.
Just like recent vaccine miracle cures they hide the debilitating, life-changing and sometimes life-ending side-effects.

Perhaps a classic case of create the disease; fast-food slop, and sell the cure; instant-thin vaccines.

This! I don’t know why the media are pushing these drugs and demanding the NHS buy them for everyone when they’re fucking terrible for your body.

You might fit into that new dress for the wedding but the osteoporosis it will also give you means you’re also going on crutches.

I’m torn on this tbh. Obesity WILL kill you. It’s a massive drain on the nhs. It’d be great if people could moderate, but it’s obvious they can’t, or we would t be such a fat country. If I woke up 300lb tomorrow I’d take them.
They aren’t without side effects for sure, but if it’s that or almost-certain diabetes and heart disease then maybe it’s the lesser evil. Beetus takes about 20years off people’s lives.
I want to see what long-long term use does. I think there’s about 15 years of decent data for liraglutude for diabetes, that’s not showing any huge signal flags for safety yet, but it’s a different population to well-but-fat.
It seems to influence dopamine regulation, so I’m interested in effects on the brain long term. kidneys too.
We will see, I suppose.

I know of a few people who take Mounjaro, and so far no problems.

Always do your research, however, and talk with an expert before taking anything.

Barry was taken from us too soon.
We were all robbed of the Chucklevision episode where Paul and Barry are elected as Reform MPs.

GLP-1 drugs aren't new. The only thing new about them is their use for their side effect of weight loss.

Eating at a calorie deficit is extremely difficult. After a few days your body is screaming for you to eat at excess, and the screaming doesn't stop.
Eating maintenance calories is considerably easier.

If someone takes a drug so they can keep at that deficit until they are no longer obese and only have to worry about the easy maintenance part, then good for them. It feels like most of the people against that have terminal fat brain, like PotentiallyCriminal (500lbs and gets into a sweat from talking) who unironically said he won't ever take them because "it sounds unhealthy".

Today there was a machete attack in a rural Scottish village. I have checked every major news website and local news paper for the area and I can't see a single article about it. I'm not sure of the ethnicity of the attacker but I have first hand witnesses to the aftermath and the police response.

What the fuck is going on with this country when a major event like this is not mentioned any where.

We were all robbed of the Chucklevision episode where Paul and Barry are elected as Reform MPs.
Just make em King brothers. Fuck being an MP. Let them run the country. They couldn't make it any worse.

Totally.
At best he's an unthinking retard whose mind has lazily absorbed every upvoted Reddit/Twitter/Guardian hot take.
At worst he's a deviant bastard who's covering up his bastardry with whatever opinions he thinks will curry favour.

I like reading you guys' opinions because you've all done your thinking and know that a gay African has more AIDS than average. It's frightening how many people pretend not to know that.
