A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.


But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I'm unsure about a complete ban but depending on severity it's possible. This all relies on them being able to identity it's you saying the comments on social media. If you were to stand on a podium in public saying a bunch of no-no shit, then they'd detain you like anyone else. Deportation, jailtime, a lifetime ban, etcetera, are all down to luck. But if you were the next American convicted at this moment, you'd likely get the harshest punishment they could dole out without causing a diplomatic incident considering the last time an American was sought out for conviction.

There are fairly routine attempts to pass "hate speech" and "hate crimes" laws that almost amount to "hate speech" laws, mostly by libtards and mostly despite the nearly unanimous smackdowns this gets from even the liberal members of the Court. So there are some such things on the books even though they're uniformly rejected by higher courts.

If you imported 500 American cops to the UK, and let them keep all of their equipment and their protections in regards to shooting people, how many weeks would it take for the number of stabbings to fall by 90% in the town they patrol?

This is a bit of a non-sequitur, perhaps, but just as the thought occurs to me, what with the race riots and everything in Bongland at the moment, I find myself wondering how exactly the Jay Slater story would've been reported if he was of a different ethnic background.

This isn't to white knight for Jay Slater, don't get me wrong, that kid was clearly a fucking scumbag wrongun'. My point is, would we have been allowed to recognise that he was a fucking scumbag wrongun', if instead of 'Jay Slater', his name was, say Sanjay Slakhtar, and he had previously been in court for attacking someone with a machete in a group of violent youths.

Or would, as I largely suspect, the media and the majority of people reporting on the case, discreetly airbrush over that particular detail and insist you were a racist Islamophobe gammon if you mentioned it? 🤔

On twitter I’ve seen two tracks, White libtards(many bots and Jews probably I hope) arguing it’s a bunch of uneducated grugs who just hate POC because well they just do okay? And there bad and evil and should be raped in prison.

A lot of liberal reply comments seem to be bots, almost designed to frustrate and demoralize. Though I’ve heard British shitlibs are some of the worst in the world.

Also, Elon reposting the most egregious crime stuff seems to have really inflamed the government. You get the impression they feel like they’ve lost narrative control here.

If not bots, they're probably all from Bristol, even Liverpool had these riots and that's seen as one of the most left-wing cities in the UK.

UK hate speech laws are really one just one small part of the problem. The real damage was done via the Police, court system and the wider legal profession. The police aggressively purseue hate crimes because they look good on their clearance rates, they can go after people wth jobs, families and in general have more to lose that some unemployed violent scroat who they've arrested for the 40th time. They can issue them a statutory penalty, a caution or get them in front of the magistrate for a summary trial with the help of the 'duty' solicitor who is in no way a US style public defender.

In the UK solicitors do not have to follow their clients instructions, for example they're not obligated to put facts in front of the court or ask questions of witnesses that their client want. Up to a few years ago you could defend yourself with the help of a legal advisor but the CPS, courts and especially the Police hated it so forced a change to the law that means a defendent can't cross examine a victim (which more often that not is the Police officer) or certain witnesses, and again has to use the duty solicitor who is not required to do anything his client tells him.

Essentially solicitors that speciailise in criminal law aren't usually interested in pissing off the courts, police, colleagues etc on behalf of a client.

There are exceptions such as Tommy Robinson's solicitor, in 2017 the CPS waited until Robinson's solicitor was out of the country before they charged him with contempt, even though they'd previously indicated the charges wouldn't be brought for weeks. They had a tame duty solicitor lined up for Robinson and he was in prison within days.

tl;dr it's the lawyers that are the real problem in the UK, not the laws.

What is Good Friday?

Every move the government is making is the exact wrong one. What happens when you put more and more pressure on fissile material? You get an explosion, and the UK has become a pressure cooker. The UK government is making all white people out to be criminals and white supremacists, specifically the Irish. The Muslims have come out with deadly weapons and stabbed some people to death, yet they're not being arrested, the Muzzies are being treated with kids gloves while the Irish are being called Nazis, they are openly releasing convicted pedophiles out of prison to swap them out with nationalists. They're being as iron fisted and unfair as possible, yet simultaneously their police are defanged and disarmed, they only have strength in numbers when they roll on single individuals but would get stampeded in a street war and would likely retreat before taking any serious risks.

You have a hornets nest of a population that you wont stop poking with a stick, flaccid law enforcement and a rabid enclave of humanoid pit bulls that maul said citizens with impunity and a news media that runs PR for them. At no point did the UK government admit to any wrongdoing on their part whatsoever, nor have they for the passed 30 years, nor will they ever, they'll keep pushing this until it explodes.

He can be, when he's prepared. The first time I came across him online was when he was defending the 18 year old drunk British girl in Ibiza who was persudaded by a bunch of club reps to give blowjobs to a line of guys in a club. The paper came out with the line that she was some drunken British tourist, Collett was the rare voice who pointed out that she was most likely travelling on her own for the first time in her life, drunk, seperated from her friends and essentially set up to be raped for the amusement of the club reps.

Also he genuinely had organisational ability, his idea to try and set up a group centred around events in remote areas, campsites etc, with occassional pop up street stalls that were set up and gone by the time Antifa got out of bed, worked pretty well. His problem was that he's an angry cunt, his hatred of Jews is literally pathological and he couldn't keep smart people around him.

Every right wing leader is going to have the same problem, frustrated loud mouths with little actual ability gravitate towards an organisation and drive away anyone that actually wants to do something.

Here's a bit of good news for a change..

Shamima Begum loses final UK court bid over citizenship

Shamima Begum will not be allowed to challenge the removal of her British citizenship at the Supreme Court, judges have ruled.
The 24-year-old hoped to overturn the government's decision to revoke her citizenship on national security grounds after she travelled to Syria as a teenager to join the Islamic State group.
Justices at the UK's highest court said Ms Begum could not appeal against an earlier Court of Appeal ruling as the grounds of her case "do not raise an arguable point of law".
It was Ms Begum's last chance to challenge the revocation of her citizenship within the UK legal system. But her lawyers told the BBC they would take the case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).



First and last time the UK government doesn't bend then knee to a muslim! Obviously she's not happy joining one of the worst terrorist organisations in recent times (isis) and flying to Syria to marry her one true jihad has got in the way of her human rights but all I can say is... enjoy Syria bitch!
