A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

What optics? There are no longer any optics here. Over nine children were hurt severely and three of them have died. Where are the optics of that?
This is the problem any time the right get together in real life, gobshites like you turn up don't want to do anything useful but at the same time act offended that other people want to try. What the fuck are you even doing other than derailing this thread with your black pill bullshit. There are simple things you could do that would help that you choose not to, and instead just want to rehash violent fantasies is just fucking pathetic.

Mark Collett is a literal NAZI and he's managed it by staying within the law. Before he lost the run of himself he concentrated on building a group that held meetings, events fund raised but avoided public confrontation. The problem was he ran it like his own personal fiefdom and his hatred of the Jews led him to have friendly relations with groups like 5pillars.

Keith Woods is going strong, and alternaitve media across the right wing spectrum has started to come out in support of the Protesters, and you know why? Because if you're a paid subscriber you get to participate in the comments section, and the people that pay the bills are pushing them to.

Even fucking Sargon, has managed to put together a media group in the Lotuseaters that is pushing back online against the media narrative. There are comedians like Andrew Lawrence and Leo Kearse talking shit, and even though their gigs are getting shut down they keep going.
With these examples they can't openly and outwardly attack individual groups because they have to abide by some sort of optics. The likes of Sargon are more likely to use terms like 'Islamists' rather than express discontent directly with Muslims as a whole because they're not allowed to paint a whole group as being at odds with the natives. Abiding by linguistical optics is one thing, but the other thing is that they cannot express, condone, or outwardly support anything that supports native Britons only. It has to be inclusive, and the only kind of nationalism they can support is Civic nationalism, which would only allow for communities with ethnic diversity and even ideological diversity so long as they they were some shade of patriot. That sense of community does not pass down to the children, as they might not share the mindset of their civnat-minded parents and will seek community with other minority ethnic groups - which, again, whites are forbidden to do. Sargon and the Lotus Eaters can't condone the protestors because the larger they are, the more they have to lose as the system they're trying to abide by scrutinises them even further. The protestors help to push the anti-immigration message into the zeitgheist and do more to push the envelope on what's allowed to be discussed and talked about than the tip-toeing Sargon and the boys do. They're a positive, not gonna rebuke that, but they're not capable of affecting change on a grand scale like actual action and movement in the streets can do.

Ah yes, when the left wants their so-called working class utopia, they complain about how an 8 year old can't be castrated or rendered infertile, or be given puberty blockers because of some warped pedophile fetish that wants them to be kids forever.

Gobshite. :story: I'm not even British, faggot. Cope and seethe harder. And try to dilate for good measure.

The fact of the matter is, this isn't a recent thing. This has been going on for over a decade, and people are getting sick of it.

I could ask the same of you. Most of the people you listed just help spread the news. The problem is, the ones listening to them are already on the protesters side. And unfortunately, it does not solve the problem at all. The ones in charge are not going to stop. I reiterate, it has been decades of protests, and the only result was an increase in censorship, laws against them, and even more third world population importation.
These riots are simply the result of the straw that broke the camels back, yet you're treating them like it's a nigger chimp out.

If anything, you could even make an argument that Carl and his ilk have become controlled opposition.

Yeah buddy, other people will do it for you.

I'm not going to join the protests because I don't think the risk justifies any potential result. Also I've seen first hand how the Police usually working off each others in groups can subtly escalate a situation (eg two police officers simultaneously indicating for you to move in a different direction, until you get frustrated and throw your hands up), create a breach of the peace or a situation where someone acting perfectly within the law before they approached ends up 'assaulting' them. These are the protests the Police want, the Security services and Police have been desperate for a white 'terror' group to appear for years. This is a dream come through for them.

Incidentally there are inherent problems with groups forming around right wing political beliefs. Strong personalities dominate, they're addicted to arguing among themselves often violently, they can't structure meetings or make decisions in a collective way. Leaders often appoint themselves, and when they become unpopular rather than removing them members will simply leave.

Also drink is a massive problem, hint if someone tells you 'I'm a nightmare when I've had a drink' believe him.

There's a reason left wing activist groups achieve so much, they can actually organise. Take names, confirm dates, book venues, arrange transport, collect dues, take minutes to meetings, all the things that allow people to actually organise for a purpose.

I mentioned this in the other thread, but the reason that Trannies started to experience real push back was because women started to do it. Women who could actually organise something and not act fucking retarded. I think something similar may happen with immigration, single muslim men wandering around towns gawking at women can only be sold as cultural enrichment for so long.

The rioters in the UK remind me of the black riots here in the USA. Destroy, but nothing gained. They are always a minority who want the rules changed to suit their desires, but the general population is not on board with what they want - shuttered borders (I assume that is what they want).

But it makes no sense to target a person because of religion or color and make them responsible for the sins of others. That's what terrorists do - they bomb cities or planes and say the people they kill represent the evil they are punishing, but that's not right.

I just do not see a rhyme behind these protests or a desired outcome that can be achieved. Murders happen, mass murders happen, too. If we were to riot about the school shootings here in the USA, who would we be protesting against? The injustice of it, or a type of person?

If someone has a balanced view of what will be accomplished by these protests, I'd like to be informed because I just can not see the end game or result desired.

The difference is that the black rioters more or less got what they wanted.

Whenever I read the word "optics" as a talking point, I know the poster is a fart-huffing reddit-fag and their opinions can be discarded.

Imagine telling a chav his optics aren't great. H

This is the big issue. If there's any whiff of the Right attempting this, it will get trampled down. The reason there was a big push back against trannies - which was successful - was because, optically, feminists and women in general don't have the same media-sewed stigma attached them like the Right does. Even an attempt to paint anti-trans women as Terfs was unsuccessful because there hasn't been nearly the same amount of time and effort dedicated to it as anti-conservative messaging over the past decades. The Terf groups were able to organise large gatherings in private with full knowledge of the state because they were allowed to. There isn't a similar effort on the Right because they're not allowed to gather, organise, and plan in large numbers for the benefit of natives because they might actually be able to chart a course to enact change. Large protests on short notice are the best weapon of the right at the moment since the government can't fully plan for them nor stamp them out. The media aren't all that effective at countering the mass amount of videos shared of the protests and riots, and we see in the real time the narratives they attempt to spin unravel as soon as they are spun (Sky News and the Muslim guys intimidating the female reporter being one example).

At the moment any anti-Muslim sentiment is viewed as a Right-wing thing, women or no. Hopefully the protests and riots allow certain topics to enter discourse that were previously forbidden. Minor terf meetings enabled the anti-puberty blocker and anti-trans rhetoric to embed itself in the UK. Hopefully these protests/riots will do the same for immigrants, Muslims and other minority groups. Maybe the best way to gauge political change in the UK at this point is how mumsnet views things. Middle and upper-class women who can lean on their husbands to do shit.

There's also the fact that TERF is just an insanely retarded slur. Nobody can take it seriously except troons themselves.

So question, say you are an American with your name on a twitter handle and you visit the UK on vacation, and you make comments supporting the protests?

(Not me I don’t have twitter). They’ve said they want to go after britons living abroad, but what about foreigners? If you plan on visiting the UK for any reason, are they going to search your social media for pro protest posts?

If so, what will the state do? Will they deport Americans cheering the protests? Or ban you from entering the country?

Most of the people they go after are people whose addresses are very easy to find. Essentially they might go through the process of checking if their home address is on facebook or twitter, see if their facebook or twitter name are tied to an address in an area they claim to live in on their accounts. If not, they have a snowball's chance in hell of finding you. The people who do get arrested for tweets and shit are those who make it very easy to find where they live. At a push they might check if your email could link to websites which require your address. A tourist faffing about in some hotel? Probably not. I feel like people overestimate the capabilities of the police. They're not going to cross-reference IRL photos with geographic locations like a passionate Kiwifarmer. If they can't find an address easily tied to a social media account, which only boomers and the tech illiterate do, they're shit out of luck.

This is assuming they're not getting the alphabet agencies involved, considering there was a COBRA meeting, its not that unlikely.

Same difference. I think it's an overestimation of what the government is capable of doing. The UK government is great at saying but actually doing? MI5 hardly gets namedropped and involved in these types of issues because they deal only with actual threats of terrorism, and twitter shit hardly qualifies. Now, if these protestors and the like do get labelled as such, they'll likely get overstretched similar to the police forces in trying to comb through pro-rioter comments and then trying to find their home addresses. What Kier and the like have done is said they'll create new task forces within the already overburdened police to deal with this, but taking 500 overworked officers, and splitting off 200 of them to do the same job but with a new focus doesn't automatically make them more functional.

That makes sense. But if for whatever reason they did get you and found you were an American tourist or on business or whatever, what would it be? Deport? DNA tagged and banned from entering the country?

I imagine you'd be tried the same as any other for the crime, but I don't think you're coming out of it with a prison sentence. I think you'd get a slap on the wrist and/or sent home. I don't think they'd come down on you with the full extent of the law since you're an American and the law you're getting punished for here is fully allowed back home.

I was going to say the US doesn't have hate speech laws like the UK does. So I figured any foreigner that got swept up would be deported(and presumably banned from re entry?)
