John thinks wearing the same piece of clothing every day is how he builds his brand image.

I think I've floated the idea before but he might have some fantasy about being like Audrey Hepburn and the iconic and stylish little black dress or he at least tries to project that image and force the idea. It doesn't work on any level though, even if the dress was a good fit and complimented his increasingly tube-ish shape his Zorak-like posture would quickly undo any of that.

I'm only half-joking when I say that Messiah Marcolin and his homemade monk robes and gut rope would be a decent base for a more proper set of Wu-wear. It scales well size wise as it is meant for chubby men, it's also a below the knee dress, it has sleeves, a belt in the right place and it is fully hunchback compatible.

The whole Russia thing is a sick burn in their own voter base, too. They're essentially saying people dumb enough to fall for Russian facebook fake news would have voted democrat otherwise.
"Those simpletons are ours, we saw them first" seems like a poor argument to make

Even at the so-called worst case scenario of trump being elected, they still don't want to admit that maybe they're doing something wrong. I'll never understand how some find it easier to believe that the entire population of the United States is a laundry list of -ists and -phobes than maybe that your ideology is putting people on the defensive and making them unfriendly to your cause.
Oh it’s exactly that, not wanting to accept blame for their idiocy and fuckups. They caused this mess by constantly calling the silent majority bigots and demanding unequal treatment for these who they think are “oppressed” but who really don’t lift a finger to help themselves.

I’m sure both my friends would be accused or being privileged even though both, on top of being gay, are racial minorities. They’re quite “tired of people being sensitive all the time”.

Do you think John will keep his $100k Porsche outside, in the Massachusetts winter weather?

I know he's stupid, but he can't be that dumb, can he?

Where exactly is Wu going to keep that thing? I don't believe their current house has a garage (then again, I can't recall what their current house even looks like beyond the simple front with that weird balloon-bus thing)

He once painted his car outside, unprotected, where it became covered in grit.
I wouldn't put anything past him.

He not only can be that dumb, he actually is that dumb, and even dumber.

But he's had help at being dumb, from numerous enablers. From his parents giving him carte blanche to do whatever the fuck he felt like in college for ten years and with his startup, to Frank letting him do whatever the fuck he wants now, with no real life consequences. The dumber he acts, the more he's encouraged to act dumb. And the press has been entirely willing to aid him in propping up his daft belief that he's the smartest one in the room.

As the old adage says, It takes a village to raise an idiot. John is that village idiot. But he didn't get there entirely on his own merit, he's also something that was created -- a Frankendunce, if you will.

I could have sworn that one of our agents once drove by the Wu house and had pics of Brianna's toys left out in the Boston winter like a dog on its last legs.

When I was 20, I broke up with my high school sweetheart of 6 years. Young hearts break hard, and I had immense trouble sleeping. I went to a doctor, who prescribed me the first-gen version of the drug Ambien. Four years later, I found myself in rehab.

The first-gen version of Ambien should never have gone to market. It released all the chemicals at once, causing an intense high, which made it wildly addictive. Similar lawsuits have been taken against Oxycontin, which was also deceptively marketed to physicians.

When we speak about our opioid crisis, it's incredibly personal to me. Personal, because there were friends from my rehab class that didn't stay clean and have died in the 15 years since. Personal, because we treat addiction like it's a moral failing and the truth is so much more complicated. Personal, because I got a second chance at life and so many others went to jail.

This experience gave me a strong perspective in how we address our opioid crisis - and I want to share four areas of policy I feel passionately about.

First, we MUST introduce science-based federal guidelines for addiction treatment. I got well because my rehab was based on the application of psychology and physiology. But, too many addiction treatment centers exist to make a quick buck and give people struggling with addiction false hope. It makes me furious to read about addiction centers charging insurance companies $40,000 for horse rides and Carribean resort vacations. My rehab consisted of intensely difficult group therapy where other patients confronted me about my addictive behavior.

Secondly, we must ensure addiction treatment access for ALL AMERICANS, not just the privileged. At 41, I have been clean for over 15 years. The investment in getting me off Ambien paid off with a long career of public service. We need to be willing to invest in all Americans with addiction issues.

Thirdly, we need to change the way we talk about addiction. Often, there's a psychological component that drives the addiction, like there's a hole in your soul that isn't filled. After the drugs are gone, something else needs to be there or you will relapse. We need to widen access to therapy across the board, so people can address the issues that led to addiction. The hard truth is, we need friends and family to hold us to standards to help us get better. At the same time, we need resources to get us on the right path. This mixture of incentives and consequences is key for successful addiction treatment.

Fourthly, we need drugmakers that bring bad drugs to market with false marketing information to face intense civil consequences. Purdue, the company that makes Oxycontin, just brought out an anti-addiction drug for the thing they sell. They make billions when people get addicted and make it again when they get clean. These kinds of bad actors in big pharma need to answer to the people they've harmed.

None of these policy issues are easy. But, as someone with lived experience on addiction, you can trust that I'll act with both compassion and conviction for our opioid crisis. Just throwing people in jail for addiction is not a plan. Together, we can solve this - but not with the same old failing tactics by the same failing politicians.

LOL. "Long career of public service." When has Wu ever served anyone but herself, and when has she ever had a career?

I never know which of Wu's statements to take as containing some element of truth. Obviously some of this is lies, the dates don't add up. We have Wu getting addicted in something like 1997, and going to rehab in 2001. Wu's address was still listed as the DC apartment her parents owned in the wind up order for socially unconscious productions in 2002 when Wu would have been 25, so we can probably say her rehab was on or after that date. In 2001, the Flynt resume still has him enrolled at Milsaps.

There's also the new "high school sweetheart" introduced in to the narrative. I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit on that one.

Yea im gonna call BS on all that. I imagine WU got hooked on ambien cause it was the best thing in his parents or friends medicine cabinet. I find it tough to believe a doc would prescribe it for "heart break"
