It's not difficult it's just muscle memory. The only people who drive an automatic are people who failed their test so many times they're an embarrassment, old people or people who own a Mercedes.

LOL What? Higher textures doesn't normally hit the FPS hard, unless you're running it on a GPU with little memory on it. Even cheap cards have 3Gig on them these days. Also, unless you're streaming textures in, I doubt you will get a hit at all, maybe 2-3 FPS max. Unless she was looking to add 4K textures of some kind, which I doubt, then it's a none-issue. It's dependant on so many factors you really can't say "You can't have more textures" because you just won't know until you test it on different current hardware.

If you were running the game on a 1080ti, higher / more textures wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference. She's talking utter, utter shit.

This is Wu we're talking about.

Wu thinks that computer performance is best demonstrated when you're using nearly 100% of available resources and processor power at all times, and somehow is doing this to an un-overclocked twelve core processor or something, I don't recall the exact details beyond it certainly isn't a hexcore.

For those unaware, this is literally the exact opposite of maximum computer performance - where the idea is to have the computer use the least amount of resources as fast as possible so most of the time it is NOT trying to burn itself out from being over worked constantly.

Pretty much.

I've always had the impression that Wu's entire concept of reality stems around having the biggest numbers, or possession of things that have the biggest numbers. Money was no object for much of their life to the point to date they don't have a concept of value (or budget...). Plus, as evidenced from the college days materials, Wu lashed out against one college's math department (I want to say Millsaps) because they didn't have THE latest and greatest version of Windows whatever, and the head of the math department fired back saying the school had JUST upgraded and that their needs were met.

The same applies to computer resources and in a sense the GSK workforce. In theory, there is the ability to have high capacity productivity but you can't run at that level constantly without something/someone burning out. That kind of sustained output should be only if absolutely necessary for the entire purpose of reducing the time such resources are required.
