One thing about the characters John drew that I find interesting is that they seem to be one of a very few "constants" in his life. Their basic images date all the way back to the Socially Unconscious days, (and probably before) and while their "personalities" may have evolved over the years, the R60 girls are the very same ones that he's had in his head all along. I think it goes into the "object fetish" thing John has with cars, new tech, etc., those characters were his main object fetish for quite some time, because that's what women are to him, objects. That's what's so funny about arch feminist act he's constantly spouting, no matter what, no matter what he wears, or how mangled his junk is, he's still him, and he can never be those hyper sexualized anime-esque girls he wants to be.
On a side note, does anyone know if John is still drawing the R60 girls, or any of his characters in general anymore? Or was R60 bombing their death knell?

The sound of the poor, mangled Audi TT John bought to replace his “totaled” Accord that’s sitting in his driveway today.
Man he memoryholed that Audi TT faster than I expected. It’s a super sore spot for him, though, since he spent a few thousand on a lemon then spent triple that amount on trying to make it driveable and “futuristic”.
Edit: The Audi is like a perfect analogy of John’s life. Complete with a broken tranny, mangled parts, and broken interior/brain.

So, in a pair of recent emails, Flynt/Wu suggested we check out Flint, and Frank wrote that the campaign is gaining "steam." Odd, considering their usual aversion to names with that pronunciation and to references to Steam, the site of another of their mammoth financial disasters.

This is all fine and dandy, and on the face of it, it's unobjectionable, but this neglects a crucial factor in why we don't see more.
To get elected, you need to spend money on a campaign, and most of those professions don't have that sort of dosh to spend.
Therefore, business-people and lawyers, those that usually have said dosh, they get elected because they can spend money on political campaigns.
Come to think of it, since Wu doesn't work and Frank does, but it's John's campaign, what profession is Frank in and who is financing John's campaign again?

It's a Nerf Firefly. It's a gimmicky piece of trash, notable only for firing foam darts that glow in the dark. Also being basically useless unless you remove its air restrictor due to a design flaw, but that's discussion for another thread for would-be cubicle warriors.
Wu is insane. Literally a minute in and she's trying to claim oppression because of something that ended three fucking years ago.

Based on his past behavior, I am a little surprised John didn't call an Uber to go driving around looking for his dogs. Good on the dogs for almost escaping to freedom though. They know what fate awaits them, ie "All the signatures were in order by the deadline, but then my dog Splat was poisoned to death by Gamergate and I had to put my campaign on hold to mourn the loss"

Most of those old pictures are collaborative endeavors between John and Frank. John focused all his efforts on the R60/Election Eve girly characters, and Frank focused all his efforts on the 3D model renders in addition to slapping together some backgrounds and cutting/pasting John's characters into the final product. You can tell by the sharp contrast in detail and effort which Wu worked on each part. Frank probably did the tracings; they are too detailed for John's impatient work ethic. John fancies himself an ideas man coming up with the central characters and subjects of the pictures, but leaving the bulk of the execution up to Frank.

In my experience, people who publicly claim the loudest, that they are effected by some tragedy, are those who are the least effected by it. It wouldn't surprise me if Wu only knew that person in passing, or at least is massively overplaying the kind of relationship he had with Evelyn.
