Hello. My name is Brianna Wu. You killed my iPhone. Prepare to die.

Actually, while we're on the subject of Wu's artistic career, I should take the time to archive some of the rarer pepes products of Wu's fevered imagination that don't get bandied about so much.

Get a new picture of your dog already, Brianna... or are you ashamed of how poorly you've kept your dogs?

OH. LOL

I missed this when I checked the FEC site yesterday for Wu's quarterly filing:

FRANK WU, TREASURER BRIANNA WU FOR CONGRESS 689 MAIN ST. NO. 302 WALPOLE, MA 02081 IDENTIFICATION NUMBER: C00633669 REFERENCE: YEAR-END REPORT (10/01/2017 - 12/31/2017)
Dear Treasurer: Your Committee has failed to file the above-referenced report in an electronic format. 11 CFR §104.18 states that any committee that receives contributions or makes expenditures in excess of $50,000 in the current calendar year, or that has reason to expect to do so, must submit its reports electronically. Once filers exceed the $50,000 threshold, they have "reason to expect" to exceed the threshold in the following two calendar years. Alternatively, committees that have not met the electronic filing threshold but instead voluntarily files reports electronically must continue to file electronically for the remainder of the calendar year.

It is important that you file this report in an electronic format immediately with the Federal Election Commission. Any filer who is required to file electronically, but instead files on paper, will be considered a nonfiler and may be subject to enforcement action under the Administrative Fine Program. Your reporting obligation will not be satisfied until you file the above-referenced report in an electronic format. The civil money calculation for late reports does not include a grace period and begins on the day following the due date for the report.

If you have any questions, please contact Aimee Wechsler in the Reports Analysis Division on the toll free number, (800) 424-9530 (at the prompt press 5 to reach the Reports Analysis Division). Her local number is (202) 694-1194.

Sincerely, Kristin Roser Chief, Compliance Branch Reports Analysis Division

Wu got slapped with a notice of failure to file because of the fuckup where she couldn't figure out the filing software.
She's now going to get fined as a non-filer because the proper report is now ridiculously late, and she still hasn't corrected the error.

Just another day in the life of Wu's incredible campaign. I wonder if she's planning to make it two non-filed reports in a row?

OH. LOL

You fucking cunt. I literally just noticed this too, and I was putting together a post on it.

Failure to file a report is up there as far as violations go. Based on the numbers they reported, they're looking at a $650-$700 fine for not filing. Kind of a big deal when you reported <$500 on hand.

I was shocked to see that the campaign files on paper and blame it on the software. No one files on paper these days. Everyone, even the tiniest, most insignificant campaigns, manage to figure out how to do it electronically. Somehow the goddess of tech can't figure it out, violated the law by not filing, and now has to pay a financial penalty for it. Unbelievable.

Well, that's going to potentially cut into the Porsche fund.

You'd Frank would know after all these years not to trust Brianna to do shit.

Reading between the lines of Wu's panicked tweets last quarter, the problem I think was the switch to using nationbuilder as a platform and it spitting out CSV donation lists that weren't correctly formatted for the filing software to accept.

An actual software engineer can trivially write scripts to process CSV data. Even in the (very likely) case that the FEC filing software gives inadequate diagnostic information, one could just do a binary chop on the data to quickly find the row that was causing the problem, remove it from data set and enter it manually, or reformat it so it's acceptable.

Wu has the twin complications of not being a software engineer and only finding out about the problem a couple of hours before the deadline. She's now heading towards exactly the same crevasse right now by not filing this quarters' report in a timely fashion.

Back to the basement you go. :(

Maybe it's a Pet Sematary type of situation where the dogs dig themselves out of the yard and Wu has to chase them back into their graves before the dawn or the neighbors will notice? They live in an Irish-Catholic area so looking like the crypt keeper isn't doing him any good if the area starts having a skeleton problem, especially during an election year.

Another video of her speaking to nobody has been posted. 24 minutes of ME ME MEEEEEE. It only takes 1:10 to get to GAMERGAAAAATE.

Edit:
@10:00-17:00 Frank babbles
@17:00 she starts taking questions. The first person just says Citizen United and Brianna just railroads her and talks over her (mansplaining!!)
@21:00 nano-machines will save us from carbon
@24:00 Frank shows the Wu blanket of fail

As any human that's been on a plane knows, you're responsible for your own beverage. Only way someone could spill your drink when coming back from the bathroom is if you're too self-absorbed to pick that shit up off your tray and hold it while the other person squeezes by (or if they're fat and/or clumsy and bump you while they squeeze by, but that's not the impression I get from "knocks my drink over"). Also, why are your "expensive electronics" not properly stowed under the seat in front of you? How would this even happen? There are only two seats to a row on each side of the aisle in 1st class, so the "bag of electronics" would have to just be out in the open on the floor, where dude would be trying to walk to get to his seat.

The MLK one has long been my favorite. It has so many layers that summarize Wu’s mental illnesses AND her racism.

Even in John's art, MLK is only 3/5ths of a man.

Lol more autistic head twitching waiting for people to finish asking questions.

And no joke, his first reponse to someone asking about climate change and carbon sequestering?

"Nanomachines."

(also thinks the nebulous "tech industry" spends more time "making gun shaders for video games" than exploring environmental issues)

This is what I find most hilarious. John blamed the FEC and their “archaic filing requirements” but ultimately it was his fault for the formatting change and he couldn’t figure out how to properly format it in time to meet the deadline because he waited until the last minute.

Like you said, any software dev could have easily written a basic script to do the work for them. So where’s the fucking disconnect between John/Brianna’s supporters thinking he’s a master of tech and the very obvious fact that he couldn’t write a simple script to format csv data to file his report with the FEC? How are people so easily duped by this charlatan?

People constantly point out you can’t even make donations on his website. He re-tweets these issues too, and yet here we are. He has people fawning over him thinking he will save tech if elected to Congress.

Almost all of the people on Twitter fawning over Brianna are just as clueless about technology as he is. The ones that should know better are likely bound by their ideology to not call him an ignorant twat.

EDIT: Also remember that Wu supporters are a minority these days. As @Kroster has repeatedly said, no one takes her seriously in the district, she barely gets conference appearances anymore, and John is despised by a number of groups.

Nanomachines?
Nanomachines.

It's not 100% loopy from a theoretical standpoint... there is research into using nanomachines to scrub CO2 from oceans or atmosphere at the molecular level (of course, Wu said he's "seen nanomachines that can do this"), but it's so niche and so far at end of the spectrum for realistic implementable-in-the-next-20-years options as to be essentially ridiculous for a candidate to bring up. The lady asking the question mentioned things like planting various species of plants for carbon sequestering, and asking about *available* technology for carbon sequestering, and John's response went nowhere beyond "nanomachines and more $ for 'tech'" (he actually said "Trump's slashing the NHS"... and if there's anything relevant to climate change, it's the NHS. You know... the UK's National Health Service).

Nanomachines, son!

I've never, ever seen nanomachines ever offered as a solution to carbon draw down even in science fiction. I've seen all sorts of crazy geoengineering schemes proposed, I think I read in New Scientist just this week about scattering some mineral on farm land that absorbs as much carbon from air as its dry weight which would then be plowed in to the soil, and the potential hazards of that happening.

It's a really thorny topic for politicians, because any practical solution at some point comes around to controlling the size of population, which inevitably leads to accusations of eugenics and eventually reductio ad hitlerum. Wu's approach to the topic of just spouting utter bollocks at least has the advantage of novelty.

Edit: Sorry, couldn't resist. NANOMACHINES, SON!
