Yes John, because NOTHING says efficient telecommunications infrastructure quite like a 2 second delay in signal. You can't make the phone go faster than lightspeed! There is no telco hyperspace. Subspace communications only exists in Star Trek. You know, like Wu's technical training, education and degree.

-Has to have lived in the US 7 years
-Has to have been a registered Democrat since February 28th
-Has to live in Massachusetts
-Has to be 25 years old or older
-May not run for more than one office
-Has to get 2000 signatures on nomination papers, from local residents within her district only, Democrats or Unenrolled only, between now and May 8th
-All approximately 400 pages of signatures (average 5 per page) must be filled out accurately with no mistakes, and her opponents get to decide what a "mistake" is.
-Has to convince the Dedham Board of Elections to approve all signatures by May 29th

-File all campaign finances with the Federal Election Commission
...and that's it. No "war chest" of a million dollars needed. No television ad buys needed. No corporate donations needed. The hardest part is just getting about 200 friends and fans to go get you 10 signatures each. But people are pretty politically engaged now, right?
