What boggles my mind is that Brianna Wu is obviously transgender but also shockingly revolting -- he's a walking argument that whatever treatment we might have for gender confusion, radical and mutilating surgeries sure isn't it. Even without getting to the fact what an obvious con man he is, you'd think this is the sort of person they'd keep well out of sight.

I mentioned in his own thread, just before Christmas the main BBC "serious" news programme needed a talking head from the NFL to explain "take a knee", and to my suprise Chris Kluwe appeared to call Trump "UberSatan". He was actually introduced as "an American Football star" by the understandably clueless middle aged presenter.

Why do I mention this...Fucking Twitter.

In the old days if you wanted an expert, you approached universities/professional bodies/trade assocs and asked them to recommend someone they thought would have an insightful opinion. It was work, but it achieved serious results.

In the social media age, a senior journalist/producer says "we need an American Football star", the SocJus juniors think "there is that guy I follow because BLM and feminism for the win! He's something to do with football".
It's easy, but it gets you Chris Kluwe being described as an American Football star, when there are actually people in the UK who follow the sport, and I'd imagine were happy enough to email their thoughts on the choice.
It also gets you a lolcow having a meltdown about Trump literally murdering black women, on the BBC's flagship news programme while a clearly embarrassed senior journalist tries to steer the conversation into calmer waters.

It also hopefully gets the British equivalent of an intern (we have outlawed slavery) a severe reprimand from her seniors.

But even he won his campaign for election though so he's still up on John Flynt in that department. All that's left for Flu and kin is to go back having never even gotten on the ballot and eventually tell everybody where the patch is the day pigs fly. This is exactly why my poll vote remains moon rocks.

Or fucking buy some news clothes. I know the likelihood of John finding another skimpy skirt to fit his grotesque body is low, but he could at least find a jacket or a cardigan or something. The more Brianna covers up, the better things would be for him.

The Glenn Fleischman thing is a nice microcosm for Wu’s hypocrisy. She stands vehemently opposed to certain behaviors up until those acts are committed by people she stands to gain things from. Instead of saying “I believe her,” she went to bat for Glenn when a woman said he had behaved inappropriately and approached her with the old “hey baby, I’m poly. U want sum fuk?” Style of pickup line.

Leo Laporte is a known pervert harasser, but Beiann is totally mum on him because he lets her appear on TWiT every now and then.

She loves her Twitter soap box, but in reality the only thing Brianna truly stands for is herself.
