This feels like an on the spot lie John made up to impress whoever was asking the questions. He wasn't getting the reaction he wanted or wasn't feeling suitably looked-up to so he pulled this shit right of his ass and the reporter just accepted it.

I get the feel this was done to "source" some lies written on Wikipedia. Check the dates it mentions for when he enrolled in college for starters, then compare it to the dates that crap article cites.

He's used the lie a couple of times before but I think the age varies from time to time? I know it's tough for us to keep track of all John's lies even with a very fleshed out wiki (hi @Jaimas) so there's no way Brianna can keep up with all of his lesser-repeated lies.

What I believe is the basis for this one is that colleges often have summer workshops or classes for kids and John's parents enrolled him in some to get him out of the house. I mean, having classes AT a university is totally the same as university classes.

It says a lot about modern journalism that no one asked him how old he is whenever he made such claims, especially in a biography-type piece..

I still feel contented that things will unravel for him at some point.. Liars always have to face their lies at some point.

University classes at 14 means he was sent to nerd summer school camp for daycare as a teenager that was hosted at Southern Mississippi's campus. Basically Brett Farve had to lift weights in the summer off-season break around this dumb as cow shit pile of turds and John is passing it off as advanced studies for dual credit when it was anything but.

All right. Been a while since we played Spot Wu's Lies, so I'm going over her piece in Glamour. Usual rules apply: Weasel words in yellow (technically true, but with caveats), lies in orange, comprehensively disproven lies in Red. On the rare occasion Wu tells something unembellishedly truthful and relevant, she gets a green text. Green text takes three points off, yellow is worth 1 point, orange worth 3, and red worth five.

Let's begin:

Jesus fucking Christ. First paragraph, and she's up to 14 points. Let's break this down:

1. Wu antagonized GG for attention first. Nobody gave a fuck about her before Gamergate, and no one except spergs like us give a fuck about her now. For the uninitiated, Wu antagonized GG for over 2 weeks trying to provoke it in order to claim harassment. It didn't fucking work until Wu posted the "oppressed Gamergate Meme," wherein she posted a hilariously unfunny meme featuring an autistic screaming child taken from the fucking Autism Speaks website. At this point she drew ridicule and claimed she had been harassed. Her doxing was at her own fucking hands, as she spent weeks trying to drum up support for Rev60 false-flagging herself on 4chan. I bumped this from a Red to a yellow solely because third-party trolls actually did harass her.

2. The FBI stopped investigating Wu's threats because she kept fucking up the investigations, by publicizing her own harassment, ergo leading to copycats from other 3rd-party trolls. I'm putting this one in Red because Wu's never been able to substantiate any of her own claims beyond the ones that were so obviously false-flags that no reasonable human being can take them seriously.

3. HE LIVES IN DEATH! PEACE THROUGH POWER!
MOUNTAIN DEW CODE BLACK CRUCIAL DANGER SITUATION!
It's been almost three fucking years since Wu publicly acknowledged that Jace Connors was a hoax.
She's still maintaining he was legitimate.

4. Not one woman has ever been "forced out of gaming" by fucking Gamergate of all things. Wu has never been able to provide evidence of this one. The only major female dev I can think of that stopped producing games due to blastback was Roberta Williams - back from fucking eighteen years ago, and that's because she was an elitist hack, not because she was a woman. But don't take my word for it:

All right. I've had it. I'm cutting this one short.

This one is such a blatant lie that I needed a fucking rating above Red for this. This one gets the coveted and rare Rainbow-level lie demarcation, meaning it is such a blatant falsehood that it actually can cause those who read it brain damage. It gets 10 points. Minimum. The more lies stuck into a Rainbow, the bigger the multiplier. Suffice to say, I expect this one sentence to get a higher score than several of her previous Spot Wu's Lies episodes to date.

I speak no hyperbole when I say that this is a level of lie beyond anything Wu's ever done before, and may mark the biggest lie she's ever told, period. This one is so broken it doesn't even fly with Wu's own fucking statistics, and I'm including the blatant horse shit she posted in Women in Tech. Nothing about this is true, and all of it defies credibility.

Let's ignore for a moment the fact that this is Brianna "How do I Install my BIOS" Wu, and that Wu has a long and glorious tradition of being borderline tech-illiterate on Twitter, with a religious adherence to Apple products because Wu is a fucking E-Hipster. Wu's claims of university can be disproved in fucking five seconds with the Background Check Incident and the related fact that she never graduated after almost 10 years of college. We have the fucking years she went to college on Lolcow Wiki. We have her fucking embarassment of a resume. We have the equivalent of the Autism Papers, which is proof of her fucking name change.

Wu always has to be above everyone else: In this fucking sentence, she goes above any previous bit of self-promoting aggrandizement and into the realm of fucking legend. She promotes herself to the point where she is a fucking child prodigy, and she alone has the fucking skill and technical know-how to fucking bring order to congress and solve all the world's problems.

Brianna Fucking Wu. Brianna MOON ROCKS Fucking Wu.

I wish I could give multiple ratings at times.

Okay, so when I said a couple of pages ago that one of the most frustrating things about Brianna is his ability to bumblefuck his way through a thousand chances at something big, this shit is the thing that made me pause from saying it is the most frustrating. Brianna ALWAYS is the best, greatest, most amazing person ever at any endeavor. It's never enough to just be "good" at something, no, it's always some grand claim of mastery. Remember when Brianna first started making public appearances and he'd describe himself as "one of the world's leading experts on the Unreal engine" all while showing pics of that piece of shit game? The Brianna Wu character is basically what it's like when a bad writer decides to start living his life as his terrible Mary Sue from a fanfic and the rest of the world is expected to accept it.

John's 40, born in 1977, not 37, born in 1980 like a certain unreliable wiki wants to say. He's not born in 1974 and 43. Other than that, great Jaimas post imo. 114 points is still a fantastic lie score and Flu's pants are on fire today.
 
And to think all a journalist would have to ask is "What year were you born in?" or "Where were you born?" to bring his stories into a tailspin.
