It never ceases to amaze Me the lengths John will go to build himself up. From Brianna Wu modern day Renaissance (Wo)Man to Brianna Wu the anti Alt Right martyr who's Gay Gamer Friends were driven to suicide by Bible thumpers in Mississippi before being sent to die in Iraq by Bush. Its what makes him both one of our most enduring and entertaining cows and one of the most pathetic and annoying.

Eh, I still feel bad for the students because you know the general student body has no interest in Brianna Wu. Most of them probably don't even know who it is. Brianna's name probably got pushed for by one or two cucks who are part of organizing this event and John is a cheap speaker who never turns down an opportunity to talk about himself.

I doubt anyone got paid or consulted for L+O, their victim stories are pretty much identical, each one of them will insist they are the biggest victim of GG, so I don't think Wu is particularly wrong in pushing herself in this case.

But I do think the main reason she names L+O and just cites the Sci-Fi Channel is because she's painting herself as the victor in the fight with the Alt-Right and she doesn't want the words The Internet Ruined My Life to damage that message.

According to one of the writers on Twitter, they literally lifted it from the Gamergate Wikipedia page.
Which is a fine advertisement for just how ridiculous and hysterical that article is/was.

That's hilarious but utterly believable. The summary text released to TV Guide and the like only mentioned Anita and Zoe, but Wu's gonna Wu so of course she tells everyone it's about her.

The reason she went from shrieking nobody to shrieking e-celeb to shrieking NYT interviewee is twofold: first, as we've well established, Brianna is a liar--one of the boldest, most insistent and repetitive liars you'll ever meet. Related to this, you have her audience, which mainly consists of casual observers who have no reason to assume she's lying and journalists who are just too overworked and underpaid to bother with real research anymore.

Somewhere along the way, local-level journalists read the Wu narrative on crap sites and believed it and her. Later, journalists at mid-level outlets read those stories and decided to trust the source. So on and so forth until you get to CNN, NYT and so on.

It's Stephen Glass all over again. There's a lot of blind trust but also a lack of resources to properly fact check

I'm not convinced Wu even brushes her hair, let alone styles it. She always looks like she's been dragged through a hedge backwards, even when she knows she's going to be on camera.

I don't think that's true. When he announced he was going up against Lynch he went on local news and gave an interview. One of his points was that Lynch was no friend of faggots and trannies and his voting record proved that. The interviewer countered that with the fact that the Lynch of 2017 had evolved and his opinion had changed, and brought forward the fact that Wu had interned with Trent Lott and was a Republican. He said if Wu can make that massive change then surely Lynch could have changed too.

What I got from that exchange was that if the interviewer knew that Brianna had interned with Trent Lott, he damn well knew that he was talking to a crazy tranny. He's just not going to bring that up because outing a tranny against their will isn't acceptable in media in 2017.

With the easy accessibility of KF and ED practically everybody who bothers to search for Brianna Wu on the internet is going to find out what a crazy fucking tranny he is. Every journo bar the most lazy of hacks will be fully aware of it, they just won't be the first to actually bring it up in a "respectable" news source.

My favorite interview is the one with Meghna Chakrabarti, who actually cared to do a fair interview and was even soft on Wu in places. Wu falls apart under the tiniest bit of real scrutiny. I really respected that journalist for hold Wu at least minimally accountable for all of the lies she spreads.

I have no doubt that everyone is aware she's trans. However, my point is that journalists largely believe her victim narrative. No normal person lies in the way that Wu does. So some people just believe her.

Anyway, you can thank GamerGate for some of this. Their online shot posting made them look terrible to any normal person casually reading the news. And journalists, like most people, tend to fall into the trap of "if a group is bsd, then their victims are good."
