even if the local machine took it into their heads that she needed to be destroyed
And for that matter, why the hell did they go out of their way to antagonize the local machine? Frank's well-off, why isn't he getting his foot on the machine ladder by writing checks and making himself a fixture on the rubber-chicken-dinner circuit?

Daily Reminder:
Hospital Bills are set at insane rates not because that's what they hope to collect, but because 1) that's what they want to bill insurance and 2) when they charge you $50,000 and you negotiate it down to $5,000, that is $45,000 the hospital can write down on the books to keep them at zero profit.

Assuming the headline is true and not clickbait, the Hospital may be trying to extort insurance companies (this is my only healthcare and you have to pay their insane rates reeeee) and/or state bailout money for low income people who can't pay bills. Remember this hospital is not only in commiefornia, but in Sanctuary City San Fransisco. Its probably easier to bill $20K and then collect a portition from the state than is it to try to send collections after an undocumented Salvadorian.

All that said: there is also a very real possibility that's just what it costs to hire and retain medical staff in a place where they want to make minimum wage $15/hr and this is sort of house you can buy with $500,000.

I’ve spent the past month on a consult shutting down and dissolving a 50 year old Radiology Practice. Largely because the three large city hospitals that they served crossed the 50% mark for patients who don’t pay their bills. Before Obamacare it was 30%. But the high deductibles mean even people with insurance walk away from paying the providers.

I don't know about Frank -- when he shows up he comes across as pretty batty, but on the other hand he's functional enough to create actual artwork and hold down a high paying tech/legal sector job -- but Brianna is totally delusional with regards to her own influence and status. She clearly sees this Congressional seat as a stepping stone, if not to higher office then at least to some nice fat kickbacks. Otherwise she would have worked at the local level first -- town councils, boards, whatever they have in that part of Massachusetts. At least something with the state government.

Also, Brianna is a fucking dimwit and picked a district she had as much chance of winning as if it were a Bible thumping blood red district in Alabama.

The candidate never let a technical team, either. Not in any meaningful sense.

That job description!

Frank clearly has no idea what a campaign manager does.

Frank and John expect this person to work seven days a week doing everything from getting John out of bed to managing the email system and the website to filing FEC returns to serving as PR director and on and on and on. And they expect this dogsbody to have managed two previous campaigns.

And all this on what sounds like a month-to-month contract.

Frank should also brush up on how to spell judgment.

Good luck, con artists.

Anyone who applies for and accepts this position deserves everything they get.

"Ensure the candidate is assisted with tasks related to to fundraising/call time/events"

"Schedule AND manage the candidate's time properly"

Right. Like all those times Warren couldn't get John to so much as return calls, or network with the local machine, or do anything John didn't want to do, and that took him away from his valuable twitter time.

Frank should have thrown in Must be able to herd cats as well, just for shits and giggles.

The first thing any campaign manager should do upon accepting the position is to put a shock collar on Brianna. There is no other way to train him to behave reasonably.

Ironically, it's at the local level where you're likely to get away with being the kind of grifter John wants to be, especially in areas where it's strictly controlled by some political machine. In the national arena, any time things are close, it gets extremely bloodthirsty with both parties going at each other and slicing off anyone who is vulnerable to try to get an edge.

In local areas where one party is firmly in control, these government positions are handed out as patronage and so long as you don't get too far out of line, graft is just a way of doing business.

John, of course, is too sociopathic and narcissistic to kiss the proper rings or even understand what needs to be done, and would fairly quickly be weeded out without the right connections and if he made a nuisance of himself, which he inevitably would, but he could probably have a career in the right sort of local politics, i.e. corrupt local politics.

One thing easily overlooked, the job ad was posted by a Grant Lincoln, another New Yorker who used to work on Diane Savino campaign alongside Paul Casali.

Seems like that entire group has got their hooks in to Wu's warchest and are draining it for whatever they can get before they inevitably defect to working with actual candidates. I have no idea how Wu expects to have any money left come 2019 hiring all these useless cunts now.

"Campaign has cash on hand in six figures." Oh, really? Show us the money.

What that means is there are 6 dusty anime action figures on her filthy shelves are each holding a $1 bill, ready to be bequeathed unto the poor sucker once they've worked their ass to the bone while Bri-bri sits on his ass and runs up Frank's credit card on the hottest new pay2win iPhone game.

John/Brianna Wu cant manage small teams either. Everyone who worked on his scampaign (and at Giant Spacekat) with the exception of Brianna (who didn’t really do any work other than bark orders), Frank, and the imaginary campaign staff (the dogs) quit or was fired due to Brianna/John’s incompetence and terrible leadership. He also didn’t pay his campaign staff their last paychecks or backpay they were owed.

John is a dictator and terrible leader. I doubt anyone will apply to be his campaign manager and if they do they better have a concrete contract that will indemnify them when the campaign implodes again and John/Frank try to scam their staff and not pay them or tarnish their reputation.

And even if there was someone capable of doing all that, why would such a superman be working for a no-name vanity canidate?

Few important parts are missing:

* Familiarity with Apple's secure time planning software and Agile practices as interpreted by insane ghoul
* Readiness to work for $1 + valuable compensation
* IGNORE ALL GOOGLE RESULTS
* DONT CALL ANYBODY

And even if there was someone capable of doing all that, why would such a superman be working for a no-name vanity canidate?

Exactly. An experienced campaign manager would work with John for a day or 2 and quit, telling him, "No offense Brianna, but this campaign is never going to work. You're best off doing something else.."

And then he/she would be screamed at or have an iPad thrown at him/her.

I know John likes to talk about how he's the only "technical" person that would be in the house, but I happened to run across this tweet today from an actual sitting representative:

Turns out someone else is capable of building things *AND* writing code (and actual C code at that) :)
