Fazed
, John, fazed. This isn't Star Trek. But "Fail state is expected" is definitely accurate where you're concerned, and is a good canidate for your next scampaign slogan.

I’m actually shocked she mentioned using Google Docs in the job description. Didn’t she tell @W person cow that google was trying to hack her campaign and only iCal and Apple worked??

Few important parts are missing:

* Familiarity with Apple's secure time planning software and Agile practices as interpreted by insane ghoul
* Readiness to work for $1 + valuable compensation
* IGNORE ALL GOOGLE RESULTS
* DONT CALL ANYBODY

* Must be willing to sign punitive non-disclosure agreement.

I know John likes to talk about how he's the only "technical" person that would be in the house, but I happened to run across this tweet today from an actual sitting representative:

Turns out someone else is capable of building things *AND* writing code (and actual C code at that) :)

Apologies in advance if I did this wrong :)
Oh god, and he’s a republican too. He’s the exact opposite of Brianna Wu/John Flynt. :story:
I mean he’s actually tech competent and isn’t faking it like Brianna Wu.

Also, on the campaign manager, if anyone reputable agrees to work for them (highly doubt that will happen) expect major drama when things go south. Expert politicos, who know their shit, won’t let the Wutards manipulate them or screw them over. I hope someone who’s a ball buster works for the campaign just for the drama we’ll get.

I have a strong feeling the reason why John and Frank haven’t found anyone yet is related to the whisper campaign. I think they’re staying far away from the Wutard Clan because after his 2018 failure rumors got around about what a lying shit show John is.

It doesn't help when you can google Brianna Wu and either see articles about how he lost or his involvement in GamerGate. Even though his subforum isn't the highest up in Google results, he already has that "whacko candidate who runs yearly and loses" image.

Everyone supporting him financially and with fluff pieces isn't in the political field at all, they're all in the tech and gaming journalism fields. That's not going to win you elections or even "get the word out" especially if you're trying to run in a primary election with the "I fought trolls online" platform.

Warren confirmed the Democraric Socialists of America wouldn’t support nor work with John because of this thread. Regardless of his SEO efforts this thread is still easily found and, coupled with his own tweets, John is clearly a fraud on multiple accountants not just claiming to be a woman.

from his page:

"U.S. Representative Massie attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. (...) Further, Rep. Massie's background from MIT and the high-tech business world makes him uniquely qualified to serve his state and country on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee."

Well, I wholeheartedly agree. :)

I literally loled at the thought of Brianna learning assembly. I think the hell will freeze first before John will write any functional code in assembly.

It's one of the many ways you can tell Wu isn't a software engineer. You want to hack a NES game? Download an emulator and one of the many 6502 assemblers and start experimenting. I'm pretty sure someone has already produced a nice init routine you can build on, certainly they have for SNES. There are probably a million already laid out bitmap fonts you could put right in your game, you could have HELLO WORLD! scrolling across the screen in about 30 minutes. Wu seems to think it would require months of study before you could even start.

Wu's got plenty of time to fuck with her stupid comic book car. It's obvious the reason she hasn't played with producing NES games is because she hasn't the slightest clue how to write any sort of software.

Also from his Twitter bio: "Greenest member of Congress."

I'm praying for Massie and John to somehow cross paths.

IMO the only reason he believes he can even make a NES game is because he played Human Resource Machine on the iPhone and thinks of him as a hotshot because he (barely) finished the later puzzles. He's been touting that one as a great way to learn programming/assembly every now and then, he probably believes that because the NES is old it's "simple" so he could just figure it out. (the NES is thoroughly documented but imagine what a 35 years old 8-bit budget processor lacks in features and creature comforts from a modern perspective)

This is stupid beyond belief. John only made a game, even with the assistance of a team of people whose work he stole, by the usual modern method of starting out with a giant bloated development platform that does most of the work for you, and includes all kinds of unnecessary bullshit in the end product, so you end up with some massively oversized final product. It works on anything with fairly little ado (although John even found that incredibly difficult and was unable to fix even game breaking bugs).

People who wrote for the original NES knew every aspect of the processor, exactly how much memory they had to work with (practically none) and routinely got more out of the hardware than would seem possible with a variety of tricks. John wouldn't have the foggiest idea where to begin.

It's a long way from a Hello World to a working game, and John would never get to the Hello World stage. Not in months, not ever. First, he's really stupid. But more importantly, he's absurdly lazy.

Didn't it take John a fucking WEEK to locate the toggle for a graphics setting when he was "remastering" Rev 60 for Steam?

And a game he demonstrated a complete lack of assembly ability, if memory serves. He shared a screenshot from one of the last puzzles that showed he was 50-some odd lines over the recommended goal.

I don’t think he ever fixed the game breaking bug in the final puzzle either from what others have said.

It’s quite challenging to code for older consoles because they weren’t well designed compared to today’s consoles and PCs. John probably thinks it’s easy because it’s “old tech”.

I’ve seen the old programming manuals and tech manuals on the NES and Gameboy and they’re massive binders.

As someone who knows bits and pieces of 6502 assembly I wish Wu good luck with making a full game out of blue. Writing assembler is totally different from Swift Playground for iPad. After years of living in modern world I'd rather to shit in my shoes and go for a hike than try to fight with 6502. Sure, it's a great exercise to learn program for older computers but you really need to have some background.

Frank, I know you're reading this for Bribri, suggest her a cc65, it's a C compiler with a set of libraries that can target older machines, like C64 or NES. Sure, you sacrifice some performance but with it it's really easy to build a chain that lets you work in your editor/IDE of choice and have it cross-compiled and run it in emulator.

https://www.cc65.org/doc/nes.html — here's the NES docs.

https://github.com/cc65/cc65/blob/master/samples/hello.c — and here's the Hello World.

Get crakin'!
