When i think about it you might actually be right. There might be a spot for Wu as a champion for trans in gaming (and in extension general), especially after "Caitlyn", but she should move much faster to secure that ground. That is basically free land and she won't claim it and i'm guessing it is because she's not comfortable with her status as a trans. The goal is open John!

Just to be fair here. It's perfectly possible that John Flynt really did get a NES in 85 and when he played SMB2 in 87 he really was gone. I can't seem to easily find her age somewhere but i recall that she's at least in her 30's so it wouldn't (as far as i know) be impossible that he identified with Peach by then.

It's more likely that Wu saw somebody else playing it. With the way he talks about games (i.e. his bullshit about FF6) I honestly wouldn't put it past him to of never actually picked up an NES controller. Hell, Peach is one of the most well recognizable videogame characters ever created, so Jonny-boy saying that he identified with Peach as a kid is a statement that few will openly argue against because of how well know the character is.

Reddit is going the way of so many other user content driven sites: they want to monetize that sweet, sweet traffic, but have no idea how and end up killing the site. I don't give fuck about them banning certain subreddits or whatever, but you can see from say wanting to make AMAs into videos that they don't get the site. That they don't have good communication between moderators and administrators is another nail in the coffin. Of course, Flynt can't admit there are mistakes, that would be going against a woman and reddit is home of those dang, dirty GG trolls.

I think Flynt will go into full on tranny mode when his donations drop to a certain point. So probably soon.

my guess would be the powers that be want Pao to chase away the "undesirables" to make the site more palatable so they can lure in advertisers then once the site is cleansed out goes Pao with all the blame for the crashes traffic numbers and they bring in someone to rebuild.

The funny thing about the reddit stuff (and why even ghazi is protesting it) is that someone who was instrumental in setting up AMAs (and who happens to be a woman) was fired with almost no warning and no feasible replacement. She provided assistance, reached out to people who would otherwise know nothing about reddit, assisted people too old to really understand the internet, got them verified to make sure they were who they said they were, etc. Her being fired pulled the rug out from under all that, and the most likely reason was that the admins/executives wanted to fuck with the format of AMAs and make changes that she didn't agree with. It has been a pattern of behavior where the higher ups want to fuck with things that are there for a reason, micromanage, and meddle with how things are run, with no real communication, and they just end up breaking shit and pissing everyone off.
