I especially like this because it's clear to anyone who follows wu that she's long used video games (and other things) as a way to be a woman. Of course she's very careful to hide her exact reasons for being 'gone' letting the reader decide that she grew up a girl who loved video games but was always stuck having to be a boy doing boy things.

In real life wu was a boy stuck doing boy things, video games may have been her first opportunity to be a girl. I would t even go as far to say JJ chipped out, he answers to the posted questions were nonsensical and very odd. It's almost as if he was responding to a whole other set of questions

For example one question was something like "why do you see as the biggest problem in America today for race relations" and he answered something about how blacks were good at sports. It was totally non-sequitur in my mind.

I just didn't understand any of it.

my guess would be the powers that be want Pao to chase away the "undesirables" to make the site more palatable so they can lure in advertisers then once the site is cleansed out goes Pao with all the blame for the crashes traffic numbers and they bring in someone to rebuild.

That's why they'd offer the job to someone with a completely controversial background who needs money bad. I wonder if she knows she's being used that way. Might not be true but it's a compelling theory.

We don't have anything to suggest that she's attracted to Frank but we do have some evidence that she's attracted to men. In college and on transgendered forums, she used to brag about hooking up with guys and not telling them about her pre-op transgendered status. Hell, the name "Brianna" was from her having a crush on a fellow classmate named Brian if we are to believe the accounts on the Ole Miss forum. However, her fetish for bosomy women in skimpy outfits is super weird and not really that easy to explain other than that's what she thinks is the ideal woman

Don't forget that in addition to being critical of the ole miss guy for excluding transgenders, she also is critical of him for excluding bisexuals.

She's not really, but the point was the hard thing that wu will be up against trying to turn her celebrity internet victimhood into a career doing speaking engagements (and probably other things, books or whatever eventually) is that the internet is constantly victimizing someone a lot harder than whatever wu got, the media will pick them up and talk about them and then they drop off. There is a non-stop stream of new people who she will have to contend with for her attention and money and at least some fraction of these people will also be people a lot like wu who want to get as much money as they can for it. She's getting into a highly competitive business. I think she's pretty clever in a lot of ways but I think she hasn't taken this into account at all, she only sees that her influence as wu the oppressed gamergate developer is waning and is attempting to move into a new gig.

It's not Brianna's original art, so I wouldn't try reading too much into it. It's actually just a redraw of one of Frank's favorite pieces of pulp sci-fi art.

The chained individuas were men in the original drawing, there was nothing to compel Wu to change them into women. There was most definitely nothing to compell Wu to have the women be scantily clad. She took a non-sexualized situation and turned it sexual withouth prompting and added the damsel in distress trope too.
