I suppose if your serving together you dont get to choose your teammatesI have the feeling that Wu was trying to make it seem like her characters often engage in ~witty banter~, but it just seems like they fucking hate each other. I see this happen a lot actually; people try to write relationships that consist of teasing/throwing barbs/etc, but if you don't do it exactly right it makes it seem like the characters can't stand one another instead of them having an easy relationship where they feel comfortable enough to playfully insult each other.
So instead of thinking "What a fun relationship they have!" you're left thinking "Why do these people even interact if they hate each other so much?"
It depends what shes talking about. I have no clue what the gunpowder thing is that sounds like a load of crap. I dont know how you would stamp a serial number on a bullet when its covered in gun powder and that gunpowder explodes. But the hammer or the gun that strikes the bullet casing can stamp a serial number on it supposedly. That serial number could be traced to the gun and the owner. This of course can be bypassed by using a revolver or a gun which doesnt eject casings. But does she believe in the phrase: stupidly expensive to the point of complete inefficiency?
Wait, how much did Rev60 cost to make? $400,000? Oh, shit, I guess she doesn't believe in that either
Secondly, what's to stop gun owners from just buying other types of ammunition? I've spent enough time on /k/ to realise that importing bullets into the USA isn't very hard. So first the designers must design bullets with traceable serial numbers on them, then get every ammunition manufacturer in the United States to agree to use them, then have every gun owner use only one type of ammo for their guns.
I don't know, but I think there are better ideas out there.
As for ammo you can easily make your own so you could easily bypass the "gunpowder" thing. You could also make your own gunpowder.
