Of the hundreds of tweets she's made over the last month and a half, I think Brianna has only mentioned Revolution 60 maybe four or five times. You'd think a game developer would put all their energy into selling their game rather than themselves in these critical prelaunch months but what do I know?
We're talking about John here. He's severely mentally ill.
As such, after spending four years and hundreds of thousands of dollars on his laughably bad "game", John and Frank decided to go with a PR campaign on Rev60's release date (
July 22, 2014) that consisted of writing an opinion piece entitled
"No skin thick enough: The daily harassment of women in the game industry" that used the word "niggers" in its very first sentence, and went on to spin the claims of countless rape and death threats we're so used to hearing John lie about.
They went with conventional press releases on
July 24 then again on
September 30, adding a claim that a PC release was coming soon (which, of course, it never did). The last update for Rev60 (ever) was two weeks prior on September 15. John "professionally" whines about "three weeks of #gamergate nonsense" in the release notes.
None of this made for an uptick in revenue until John "miraculously" got "death and rape threats" and called his local PD (and the media). That, with a huge increase in Twitter attention ("thanks",
Wesley), led to a bump in revenue that only lasted a couple weeks.
Out of curiosity, did anyone else notice her Cube interview was set to private after a shitstorm of negative ratings and comments? Wu, oblivious, did not burn the RT.
Yes, they nuked the first upload, but they uploaded it
again. Same result - mostly downvotes, barrage of snarky comments.
