Frank being behind Flynt doesn't surprise me. But I wonder if it's more he just points Flynt in a general direction and gets him riled up rather than a grand puppet master. Flynt doesn't seem like he's controlled with finesse.
As for why? Flynt probably blew all of Wu's money and getting Flynt on the talk circuit and as a "feminist" speaker is a way to recoup his losses. I think Wu knows Rev60 and the game studio as a whole is a loss.
I can shine light on this.
Both Frank and Brianna are greedy, selfish, arguably sociopathic, constantly lie, constantly proclaim to believe things they don't, overestimate their intelligence and reach, and so on. Aside from his being called out by his ex-wife, Frank's been harder to keep a bead on, but make no mistake - Frank's waist-deep in it.
And with good reason: he's the source of most of the capital in Giant SpaceKat.
To give a surmised version: Frank and Brianna were some of the asshats who tought they could ride the IOS/Mobile bubble into the sunset. Unfortunately, Brianna has no marketable knowledge or skills and no real ability to manage, so what the pair thought was going to be a relatively straightforward way to earn easy scratch turned into a massive sinkhole of money and talent as their first title came out in 2014 and to the tune of $400,000.
So this is where things get a little interesting. According to multiple Chantard sources, the oppressed feminist meme was starting to become en vogue at around this time (thanks a lot, Anita and Quinn). The pair saw this and immediately jumped on the bandwagon. Frank and Brianna immediately started a guerilla marketing campaign up, and 4chan was the immediate target, since the anonymous system made it easy to hoax out. Sweet Family Wu-binson never expected "ADF-Style Trans" to take off, so in a bit of a political blunder, Brianna locked onto Mainstream Feminism and now can never back away unless publicly exposed (see: Rachel Dolezal, Andrea Smith, Shaun King).
So for almost 4 months, the Wu family did this before getting caught (see:
Operation FalseFag II), at which point Brianna's mainstream presence as "I'M SO OPPRESSED AND ABUSED" ran headlong into a reality that wasn't really that stupid. So all Wu can really do now is go on the speaking circuit and hope to not be called out on her shit, since her game is a critical and commercial failure and Wu's entering a market way too late to be of relevance.
