No I think that's exactly what she'd like to talk about. But instead she has to talk about women in gaming, harassment, and so on. She's only able to talk about the important stuff (self promotion) in relation.

I read all the technical lingo namedropping
as self-promotion, trying to prove her bona fides. Since her accomplishments are few or none, crying "Poor Me!" is all she has. It may be self-promotion of the lowest stripe, but remains self-promotion nonetheless.
Wu makes
everything about herself, whether through projection of her worst tendencies onto her "enemies", or through a simple, solipsistic inability to
not redirect every subject back to her.
It's one of the reasons why she only gets along with her buttkissers; if anyone genuinely tries to discuss something with her and mentions their own experience, even in a neutral or friendly manner, she is immediately threatened by the focus diverting from Brianna.
And she's done this for so long, she has started to believe her own hype! That's how she can say things like the insane Unreal brag with zero awareness of how such arrogance makes her look.
