A lot of these kids have never known life outside the EU. They have no context. They sincerely believe they won't be able to travel freely around Europe or study abroad. Or that European companies won't want to sell their goods in Britain.

To be fair, this is basically what they were told by Remain.

They don't realise we can now strike our own deals or even rengage with the Commonwealth and do actual trade deals with people with similar legal codes.

Brussels has already begun to form its position. Seems the BDI and the German Car Makers have already been to Merkel and noises from the EU Govt is "We hope to work closely and on friendly terms with Britain"

Which isn't surprising as by the end of the withdrawal process we'd be their single biggest export market.

I just fail to understand this shit that not wanting immigrants who are willing to work for nothing into your country to depress wadges is racism. What the fuck does what color someone is have to do with not wanting them to fuck up your economy and make your kid unemployable?

Or that you don't want to import a bunch of people from a part of the world that treats women as property and gays as projectiles to toss from the roof.

The irony is all the people who scream and yell about how they're going to move now never pick the Middle East as a destination. Just like none of the immigration advocates in the US want to move to Mexico over Canada if Trump becomes President.

For context the somali population of the UK was never granted asylum or visas here: they moved to holland in the early 00s got Dutch passports after 5 years and moved here en masse on eu passports. They then preceded to have one of the highest proportions of sign ons to welfare of any ethnic group.

The somali pop did Syrian refugees before Syria and are a perfect example of the abuse of free movement and eu rules that caused this vote.

2) Social justice advocates lament the loss of the EU's immigration provisions because it makes it one iota harder for Syrian and Iraqi refugees to escape their countries of origin. If you're an EU member, you have to honor visas granted by other EU members. This, in no small part, has contributed to a rising wave of crime in the UK's urban regions. While Britain still may not have the political ambition to stop the flood of refugees, they at least now have the option, which is really pissing off the Tumblr and Huffpo crowds.

I don't understand why all these Remainers are pissing themselves over how racist, xenophobic, and Islamophobic voters are for not wanting immigrants to flood the UK. These are not destitute, desperate people who are fleeing ISIS and have nowhere to go; take a look at the location of Middle Eastern/North African countries, and then look at how far away the UK is:

The people in the Calais jungle- who, by the way, just mobbed the roads by the hundreds in and around Calais to hurl rocks at British motorists while screaming "fuck the UK"- have traveled through multiple safe, stable countries. They're just ignoring all of them because the UK is the one with the most benefits. That makes them economic migrants. All of the articles and photos designed to tug at our heartstrings are ignoring the fact that they're the ones choosing to live in slums outside the UK instead of settling somewhere else.

These people seem to not understand that every single country has the right to decide who gets in. No country is obligated to take you in. A country must first and foremost look after its own citizens, and if any immigrants seem to be threatening the native population (either physically or due to economic circumstances) that country has a right to kick them out.

And seriously, most of these Middle Eastern/North African migrants are absolute shit. They come from cultures that uphold and preach contempt for women, non-Muslims, and liberal values. I have no idea why so many liberals have made them into their pets considering how they're disgusted by and opposed to things like feminism, gay rights, and the right to criticize ideologies (namely Islam).

I will say this: no one likes to live in the slums just because. You may disagree with the reasons why they opt to live there (and I agree, country should follow their own rules) but is not as simple as "lazy assholes that want everything handed to them".
