Haven't they already made a Twitch Prime reward for that character?
A new Prime Gaming Reward Bundle is also available for BF2042, which again is of the lowest effort. I guess this is what Sundance meant with being "ready for round 2".
Just like last week with the medic-related challenges to unlock a skin for an assault-class hero.

I know I've been ragging on about DICE, but how is it even possible for them to fuck something like that up twice?
I swear to god, it's a miracle the game doesn't cause Xbox's or PlayStations to explode. This fucking developer...

It appears that a possible cause for the false positive bans in BF2042 may be RGB software, such as Corsair iCUE and Logitech G Hub, the latter being very ironic, as Logitech is an official sponsor of the game.
The Weekly Mission apparently requires DMR and Sniper Rifle kills, to unlock a shotgun skin, with the hard coded snafu mentioned earlier.
DICE couldn't even be assed to not use placeholder titles again, and this wasn't the first time they accidentally left the vvvvv part in a description.

This might make sense in BFBC2 where shotguns with slugs were better than half the sniper rifles, and shotguns could be used universally across all classes. I'm guessing neither of those are true in modern Battlefield titles.

snowdrop is used by massive for division (and a few others). not much better than leafs but I think they still develop it over in sweden, while the rest are all managed in montreal (dunia for fc, disrupt for watchdogs, anvil for asscreed/gr/siege)
they probably prepared a whole list of challenges at some point and then just loaded those without even looking at it. wouldn't surprise me if that shit is hardcoded which would mean changing it a lot more complicated and probably break something else in their duct-taped together code.
would be worth to knowing if that also shows up in the english version or the localization team simply didn't give a fuck.
also, I'm more triggered by the fucking gendershit in the description; for anyone not speaking kraut, most words have a male and female form, usually by adding a -in suffix. so "gegner" (neutral/male opponent, also works as plural) would become "gegnerin" (female opponent). for a while now feminists were pushing for the female form to be always included because using the neutral/male form is apparently sexist. so we got shit like "professor*innen" (female plural tacked on). it looks retarded and no one outside the woke hotspots even likes that shit. at this point I'm surprised they didn't use something even more retarded like "gegnerx" after they did in the marketing for sundance (of course) where they used it with the german word for soldier which as retarded as latinx ("soldat" works exactly like the example above where the female form becomes "soldatin"), probably because THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO GENDERS BIGOT!
and they couldn't even do it properly because it's usually separated by an asterisk.

Battlefield 2042 made it onto Angry Joe's Worst Games of 2021 video, at a very generous 7th place:
I thought the game would have been worst than that, given all the behind the scenes stuff that resulted in this insult of a game that happens to have the "Battlefield" label stuck to it.
Someone made a livery in Forza Horizon 5, to throw shade at BF2042. This person will most likely get banned, since PG are really sensitive snowflakes when it comes to "offensive car liveries", but at least this person made his/her point clear.
And it's really saying something, when BF2042 car liveries in FH5, are much better made, compared to the actual game.

So instead of making an actual Hardcore game mode, it's only available as "Hardcore Night". And Hardcore Mode would be a nightmare in BF2042, due to Specialists making it harder to distinguish between friend or foe.

If I recall correctly Battlefield 2 was one of the few games at the time that didn't treat the middle east as rag tag terrorists / extremists. They portrayed them as more of an actual army and the vague lore the game did provide was the middle east formed the Middle East Coalition (MEC), joined forces with China and took on the US and Europe over presumably a resource dispute.
But Twitter will screech over anything and companies are retarded enough to listen to them so it seems like everything has to be fictional generic faction vs other fictional generic faction

Six Days In Fallujah has caused more seething over Islamic representation in videos games that any game I can think of, and it hasn't even been released yet. I can't see an established publisher taking on that kind of heat anymore.

There's that, and the complete fuckup that was the "withdrawal" from Afghanistan. The Middle East conflicts have been such disastrous shitshows with nothing gained from them that I don't blame developers for being disenchanted with the setting, it's probably why the upcoming Modern Warfare II is rumored to shift over to South America.

Squad and both Insurgency games are some of the few comp MP still-played games that feature middle east terrorist/rebel insurgency and its geniuenly unique because their tech is hackeyed technicals and random shit they find in caches so its interesting
