Well, were there black soldiers in the Pacific?

At least it's not a one armed woman.
It would be hard to top that horseshit. As ridiculous as some of the elite characters are (no joke, fought alongside a Kraut as the Japanese yesterday), at least they're all able-bodied. To this day, I don't know what the fuck DICE were smoking when they came up with that character for a WWII game of all things.

But on a more positive note, I think they did a pretty good job with this update. I'm looking forward to fighting on Wake Island.

To be fair I don't think it was 100% because of SJWs, I think they wanted V to have a unique visual style to stand out from other WW2 games, especially given that Call of Duty WW2 had just released the year prior, they also wanted to give players customization options since that's just a trend in multiplayer today.

Trouble is for WW2 that's a dumb idea, players want to feel like they're "really" there, so they want accuracy.

Pacific Storm is a bit of a camp-fest with all the foliage, that’s my only complaint.

I was willing to look past the woke shit and fortnitification they shoved in BFV, even though I thought it was bullshit. What I could not stand was attrition, where in an effort to force cooperation/team play, they decided to cripple everyone's ammo supply. I was, for some time in the past, looking to pick up BF1 on a sale or something, even if wokeness was starting to infiltrate it, but stuff like explosive spam is what kept me off.

Anyway, I'm off the Battlefield series for now. I dipped in and out of BF4 in the past few months, and instantly I'm treated to the absolute state of it all. The game service absolutely sucks ass. Games were typically one sided steam rolls, even worse than BF4's early, buggy, literally unplayable days. Even if your game isn't infested with wokeness, attrition, and explosive spam, that's all for nothing if most of the games involve spawn camps.

They have ideological guidelines at EA, every game has to respect a set of rules and quotas.
It makes no sense that they would make a Battlefield game set in WW2 and have no D-Day map in multiplayer or mission in the campaign. Hell, even CoD WW2 had a Normandy sequence and a map in a Rush-like experience.

Has the robot-armed cosmetic bullshit been added yet?
No, but you can fight alongside Krauts in the Pacific, including someone that looks like the Phantom of the Opera.

Yes, it's as ridiculous as it sounds. I have a little bit of fun every now and then, but they did the setting dirty compared to BF1.

The only good BF right now is BF1
It's a shame that it's not really a WW1 game.

I've heard that some of the elite (paid) skins can have the wrong uniform, so people on the enemy team can easily mistaken them for being on their side.

All I know is not having elites separated between the theatres makes the game even more tonally inconsistent.

Every time I fight with the Phantom as the IJN or that French resistance fighter as the US, I roll my eyes at the absurdity of it.
