Minty hits like a truck. I specced her into heavy armour but still she is somewhat fragile.

Dex is still the god-stat, and with the existence of non-dex capped medium armour, I'd say medium armour with dex is actually the way to go if you're looking for god AC that can't be touched by anyone that doesn't have a +10 to-hit and above. (Saves are another matter, but I'm sure resistance cantrips or whatever is enough for that).
Meanwhile two braindogs after the crash ended my first honour run.
I didn't even know this cutscene existed when I did the fight. Viconia just died somewhere between her going down and getting knocked out (I did notice this), and me mopping up the rest of the mooks.I didn't get the cutscene where she and Shart have one last talk.

At least she got sweet bling.
Why would I even want to spare the shitty drow's life? (I know I know, she's a darling from prior games apparently). I already stabbed Minthara without blinking earlier in the game. You can even spare Viconia's life, if you want. But that shield is the best in the game. Also, incidentally, if you're a Vengeance Paladin, your Oath will break if you spare her.
You wouldn't. But the game at least gives you the choice. I guess it is nice for folks who liked Viconia from BG1 and BG2, but then again WotC bastardized her character. So fuck it. Gimme shield. Why would I even want to spare the shitty drow's life?
Hopefully they'll patch it soon, reaching act three in Honour mode isn't easy.I think mine has ended, unfortunately. After the last hotfix, for whatever reasons, my saved game won't load. It reaches 100% and my game crashes every time. Not sure what the fix is.
You can cheese it easy without even going into the cave under her house. What you do is pickpocket her and then run a little ways away until she discovers it. She will chase the character who pickpocketed her. Thing is, you can run away from her and she will follow. Last time I ran all the way to the Gur and stopped. When she confronts you about the pickpocket, just attack. She will transform into a Hag and turn invisible. Try to find her out, but note she needs to run back to the house in order to teleport below. This is where you take every opportunity to nuke here down. If you fight her this way, she never summons adds. Only downside is if you wanted to bargain for her hair; that is only possible if you fight her in her lair.Maybe it's because I'm playing a monk, but I didn't find Auntie Ethel all that challenging in Act 3. Were people trying to merk her at level 10 or something? (My monk kit is pretty much complete even then, so I doubt there would be any difference beyond a slightly harder time hitting her or simply having less HP).
I'm giving it another go; this time I'm using Shart origin. I respecced her and made her a Paladin and discovered that your dialogue gets re-tailored for it in some ways. The game will start referring to you as a [PALADIN OF SHAR] on rare occaisions. That's pretty awesome! Makes me wonder if Larian had scrapped assigned deities to Paladins at one point in time.Hopefully they'll patch it soon, reaching act three in Honour mode isn't easy.
