Act III and Act II should have been reversed somehow. There was a kind of finality to Act II when you're delving deep into Moonrise and you fight with Myrkul. After that, heading into the actual city feels weird because you feel both compelled to explore the city but at the same time the game is constantly reminding you that the Absolute is about to wreck everything to shit.
Yeah, the whiplash between the two acts is just so weird.

I think Act 3 suffers from an immense pacing problem in general.

It's fine. I also knocked her out and slaughtered every other goblinoid inside. A few long rests later I came back to do the underdark and she was standing alone in the main hallway in her underwear, oblivious to the dead bodies around her, and ready to go attack the grove. Despite this, she still showed up in Act 2 and was recruitable if you choose to save her.
Just confirmed, she's not at Moonrise. So, despite knocking her out, the game thinks she's dead. It's fine, I guess. I can't reload a previous save since it's Honor Mode, but I guess it's good to know for future playthroughs. My headcanon is that she woke up with amnesia and is walking around in her underwear trying to figure out what happened.

Next time make sure she's only temporarily hostile. Just go through the temple and buy stuff from merchants, do the few mini-quests, then go kick one of her goblins in the dick within line of sight of her to start the festivities.

Finally got to Act 3 without my saves being destroyed. I met the trannymancer.

The sheer scale of content in the city is a bit overwhelming, I feel like everywhere I go theres a storyline. Also seeing the most minor of characters from the first act having quests and story arcs is really cool. I am so glad I helped Rolan, because he came in pretty clutch for a certain battle.
Are they actually canonically confirmed as a drag queen?

When I talked to them they just whined about not being able to control corpses very well and gave some minor flavor lore about the circus.

Granted I didn't do their side quest so maybe the "I have a shenis" dialogue is in there.

So to confirm, the steps for recruiting Minthara are:

-Don’t talk to her
-Make her temporarily hostile (method doesn’t matter?)
-KO her
-Save killing Ragzlin for last

Correct? Priestess Gut doesn’t weigh into the equation anywhere, does she?

This seems to be a common agreement, the Myrkul fight has a huge sense of finality to it (due in no small part to the way he’s introduced, love that cutscene), so facing him first felt off. The fight against Gortash in particular is a massive step down, it’s like they didn’t know what to do with him. (Wasn’t his fight even lamer at first, and they only recently patched it to give him those weird Hulk powers or whatever?) Which is a shame considering you’re technically supposed to face him last, and I found him the most enjoyable of the three. I’m also disappointed - and a little surprised - that there’s no ending where you can actually rule the city with him.

As for Act 3 in general, yeah, the pacing isn’t the best. I place a lot of blame on the Orin hostage situation because it disrupts whatever you’re trying to do and makes you feel like you have to rush. There’s also the frequent reminder of how close the Absolute is, like you said, which is contradicted by the amount of quests they throw at you.

The only thing this game has in common with the others is the setting, the name, and the fact that they shoved in some memberberries like Minsc and Boo
So let me get this straight. The sequel shares common elements with the previous games like the setting, the name, the locations, and some of the original cast, as well as connections to Baahl and The Dead Three... And this somehow doesn't make it worthy of being called a sequel?

For me burn out has hit fucking hard in Act III. I dunno, I wanted to deeply explore the city and see everything but it almost feels like that is where the true adventure begins, but you're already like level 10 when you get there and all the quests feel like busywork best avoided. I said fuck it and just blew up the foundry because the thought of doing the underwater prison made me physically ill. Sorry Gondorians.

I can appreciate the game's length but yeah, Act II and Act III should have been switched I think.

He sucks, I saved Orin for last and that felt better pacing wise. Act III could use a serious rework, that or maybe you are expected to get there ignoring most of the content in Act I and II.

Yeah the leader in the circus is obviously a drag queen. Which is propably the least unrealistic place for him.

Random question: I know there's nudity in BG3. Is there anything stopping your OC from stripping naked and having full frontal nudity in display? Male or female. I know you can fuck bears in this game, evidently. Is human anatomy accurate?

Yup, I used this guide
For Priestess Gut, I killed her inside her room to prevent aggro.
My order is basically Minty -> Gut -> Ragzlin.

Nope, unlike Cyberpunk all the nudity is fully modeled on the characters. You can take your armor off and let your dick and tits flap around.

So theoretically speaking, I assume BG3 takes place in medieval fantasy times, I could create a vintage female character, name her, and have her run around in her birthday suit unimpeded?

So, question, will going to the Creche end act 1 and prevent me from going to the towers? I pretty much finished with everything on act 1 and only have the "Better finish all your sidequest material" areas.

Also is it important I have high relationship value with characters so they won't leave me with their gear? I'm still neutral with Astarion (who honestly I would've lived without, though having a rogue around is handy).

The Creche is safe to go to. The only thing that ends Act 1 and its sidequests is going into the Shadowlands itself.
