They just want Attack on Titan to be edgy G.I. Joe where the Paradisians are universal patriots who are good because they'll do it for their country and Eren will have a happy ending where he marries his Aryan waifu as they have a daughter together.
The fact these people complain about “not getting the series” is really funny since they are either intentionally missing info or being dumb. It was pretty obvious why eren was beat up, I haven’t touched the series in a year and I still know this. Thank god I wasn’t apart of the AOT fandom.

I've said it before, but I love how they keep excusing this shit by saying it's gonna totally be okay, because Eren's gonna be overcome with guilt, and PTSD, and depression, and all that shit.

It makes me wanna ask if they'd say the same thing about Hitler.

I mean it's pretty easy with how they attribute Hitler quotes to Eren

But if asked they'll just say it was ironic to trigger SJW's but then openly support Hitler anyway

I mean they believe that genocide is perfectly okay because people on the outside have a chance to become racist

About the rumbling, I remember during the reclaiming wall Maria arc, bertholdt Colossal Titan was becoming thinner as the fight was going on, I thought that would be the “get out of jail free card” for the rumbling to fail. Are the wall titans different from bertholdt titan?, how long was the rumbling. Wouldn’t the wall titans literally run of out steam. This is the panel I am taking about in chapter 81.

I kept wondering what you guys were talking about when you mentioned chapter 139.5. So I went looking. And HOLY CRAP:

* Jean getting with Mikasa, who had a kid and died peacefully as an old woman
* Indications that Paradis got screwed over in a future war anyway
* Full indications that all this shit is just going to happen again with another little girl becoming the progenitor of yet more Titans.

I don't know whether this ending makes everything just a little worse, or a complete dumpster fire. And it seems NOBODY likes this extra chapter, judging by comments on sites where it is posted.

Honestly the second point isn't too bad given it's possible the island just got in a war for a completely different reason, especially since Isayama is not subtle about a "war bad" message and no "war bad" story can be complete without a bitter ending about how the cycle will still continue.

However the dumbest shit with the extra pages is just Mikasa constantly visiting Eren's grave since it only adds how easily forgiven he is and the shit with Ymir which was pretty dumb.

Honestly, that could have been just Mikasa remembering someone close to her, but any chance of sympathy and benefit of the doubt is long gone apparently.

the shit with Ymir which was pretty dumb.
Not sure if that could have been adjusted, but Ymir was fine when this whole thing just started when she was Historia's girlfriend.

I don't mind it because Jean's with her every single time.

In fact, I like to think it's his idea to keep visiting Eren's grave just so he can keep rubbing the fact that he's the one who shacked up with Mikasa into the bastard's nonexistent face.

True that is the only funny way to interpret that, especially if he goes full Light Yagami when Mikasa isn't looking or decides to do romantic things on top

Jean: "Hey Mikasa, I was thinking. Why don't we have our wedding under the tree where Eren's buried? You know, just so he can be there, too."

Mikasa: "Oh Jean, that's so thoughtful! Yes, let's do that!"

*Day of the Wedding*

Preacher: "We are gathered here today..."

Eren: *internal screaming*

You really want that?

As fun as this idea is, lets be truthful: this is being shown to let us know that, even after getting married and having kids of her own, Mikasa still never got over Eren, even after the insane moron nearly killed the world. She continued to pine after the crazy mofo till the very end, and was probably buried next to him, WITH THE SCARF HE GAVE HER AS A KID. Even in the end, Jean still can't really win completely.

And then there's the implication that the new Titan progenitor, based on their appearance, is one of Mikasa's descendants.

I can see why it's unliked. The whole final season has been such a mess that I've been up and down on how I felt about characters based on certain revelations. However, in the end I think it's good they showed Mikasa live out a happy life while honoring Eren's memory, like he hoped. It's better than leaving her crying at his grave, at any rate.

On the other hand, Paradis' explicit destruction is maybe the single worst thing in the series to me, I'd have preferred its fate to remain unconfirmed or more ambiguous. It invalidates almost everything in the series, because you follow from Paradis' perspective and root for its survival from the beginning.

I am kind of mixed on the implication of Titans returning. If Titans return it further grinds Eren into dust. First they make him a retard with dumb, confusing motives, then they have him fail to protect Paradis (which seems like it wasn't even his true motivation, rather releasing Ymir from her bonds). Now he failed to even rid the world of Titans?

On the other hand, maybe AoT can redeem itself with a sequel. I'd give it a second chance if only because of just how good the series was for a while.

A thought occurred to me and would like some opinions on it. If removing the Titan curse or whatever TF it's call by the PATHS is impossible. How about Eren via the PATHS makes everyone on Not!Earth into an Eldian capable of turning into a titan? Much like those sacrilegious morality episodes of Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and so on, where the white protagonist is turned into a negro or jew for that "walk a mile in their shoes" schitck.

I actually thought it would’ve been interesting for one of the big revelations to be that the Marleyan blood isn’t quite as pure as they would like to imagine, and that most of their population is also capable of turning into mindless Titans, something which Eren would exploit in the climax to destroy Marley from within as all of their military forces are anticipating an invasion from the sea.

Normal titanization, yes. But this time we are talking about the big worm thing directly causing someone to become a titan.
I thought the experiments performed on them prior to the raising of the walls prevented them from becoming Titans period, with with that said, Isayama has broken so many of his own rules regarding Titan powers and adding new, stupid rules as he goes along that I wouldn’t put it past him to pull that kind of stunt simply to make something that ties the narrative of AoT and the sequel that’ll probably never happen.
