I watched the episode, and it's funny to remember that Eren decided to commit global genocide because of Mikasa saying she was family to him out of clear embarrassment and one racist meeting because apparently that is how the entire world is.

I'm gonna be honest, while the worldbuilding is fucking stupid, I'm starting to think Eren is even more retarded with his actions while the story acts like he is smart or is doing the necessarily evil things.
Meanwhile, at around chapter 50 or so, Mikasa was throwing herself at him.

Well shit, part three just got announced, and it's the final, final, this time for realz guyz tRuSt ThE pLaN season.

Not gonna lie, I'm actually bummed out it's not a movie. Me, and my friends had a whole day planned dedicated to bar hopping all across town while getting shitfaced on every different kind of jaegerbomb we could find before eventually going into theater to see this trainwreck more wasted than thIS series' actual potential.

But no, this shit is being dragged out for a whole 'nother fucking year (the air date is some time in 2023), and I can't even have the joy of seeing Eren crying on the big screen while drunk off my ass.

Feels bad man. (:_(
It really seems like they are trying to drag this out as long as possible in order to squeeze every last bit of yen they can out of the franchise, and are reluctant to end it, as that would mean no more cash cow.

The funniest thing about the end of AoT to me is that when the last chapter came out, my best friend who doesn't like AoT linked me the page where Eren goes on about actually loving Mikasa and stuff and he asked 'what's this cuck shit about?' and I said 'oh the last chapter came out, it's probably some meme edit' then I actually read the chapter and it was real.
Isn't that the most horrifying part? If you went back and told people "This is how Attack on Titan will go" you would be laughed out of the building.

I'm not waiting who knows how long for another season, I read the manga. I don't know the scope of Eren's influence, clearly he was not omnipotent. Either his ability was poorly conveyed or I simply failed to comprehend it.

If he was able to control all Titans throughout all of time, then I'm just confused. What I'm getting is that he had some degree of control of events, and orchestrated them well enough to achieve his gay goal of wiping out the Titans.

Saying that, I can't believe they made that goal into something retarded. What was the point? His original reason for wanting to erase all Titans was to protect his country. Well, he failed at that and the Eldians were genocided nice and good, so, again why did he want the Titans gone...?

The only thing I can think of is he wanted to free Ymir of her weird emotional problems, but why did he give a shit about her? I just read it so I'll have to let it sink in, but it's overly complicated and so much shit was just contrived.

>Thinking Eren did it for his country

That is your first mistake. Eren only gives a shit about himself and supposedly his two childhood friends. If Eren really cared about his country he wouldn’t have advocated for his childhood friend over a military commander to be kept alive. He also wouldn’t have basically burned every bridge that his country could’ve made because of petty reasons like being family-zoned or the world not looking like his friends storybook.

@Bunny Tracks I must say it has been great coming up with new thread subtitles.

I was the one behind "OH! THAT'S A BASEBALL!" and "TFW BOOM HEADSHOT FINALLY GETS ANIMATED SO YOU CAN MAKE IT YOUR AVATAR".

I'm sure if they really wanted to, they could adapt all the spin off material after the fact, and since none of it was written by Isayama (to my knowledge), he can just ride off into the sunset and relieve himself of any further involvement in a series he probably regrets on some level for getting so popular.

Anyway, I'm reading the manga to find the ending. This series has gotten too dumb for my liking and I just wanna be rid of it.

It also mean adapting the ending is low on their priority, they decided to just prolong it by a year, which suggest even they know the IP is dying fast

I said it a hundred pages back, but I will say it again. Mikasa couldn't of had a wetter pussy for Eren. So the whole "family-zone" angle not only makes Eren look like a huge retarded incel, but makes zero sense.

This entire trash-fire of a series is basically anime "Lost". Create massive mysteries to build up hype from people's head canon that the author has no actual satisfying, or even logical, answers to and watch as it all implodes when the fans finally see all the stupid answers be revealed. It might actually work with AOT though, because anime fans are beyond retarded.

"Supposedly" his friends? If he didn't even care about them, let alone Paradis, then what the hell were his motives? It would all make even less sense then. Was it all to get that stupid smile on Ymir's retarded face so she can fade away satisfied, and nothing else? I can't imagine that's true, it would sincerely be the dumbest thing ever.

And I don't know what you mean about Eren being "family-zoned". I can only assume you're referring to when Mikasa answered to him that they're family, but even the most oblivious retard knows that's not her real answer. All of her excessive doting obsession over Eren aside (well beyond a familial normalcy), her expression when she gave the answer showed that she responded out of embarrassment at the sudden question.

Everyone in-universe, including Eren, knows that Mikasa wanted his dick. When Armin was talking to Eren in the final chapter he scolded him for disregarding Mikasa's love. Eren was pretending to be aloof, got socked for it, then received an earful, but just kept up that same aloof expression through Armin's lecture. Then when Armin concluded "well maybe she'll get over you and find someone else", then his act fell apart and we get his blubbering admission of his true feelings.

And it isn't like the series is subtle with Mikasa's feelings. She literally can't keep her eyes off of him, the very first thing you ever see in the anime is Mikasa stealing glances at Eren in the opening theme. Then at the end, there's that gross decapitated kiss they share, and then even when she fucking dies she's buried with his scarf.

But I'll grant you that the world not being exactly like his friend's book factoring into things at all is, at best, insane. The only explanation I can muster for that is his mind was warped by his power, which he also sort of alludes to in that last chapter. Even that's better than doing things to satisfy Ymir though, I really hope they change a lot of this stuff in the anime, but I don't think they will.

Eren is just a crayon eating retard and the family-zoned thing refers to that moment which Eren decided that the future was just set in stone (aka Mikasa saying she saw him as Family) given he'd just abandon everyone if Mikasa was more obvious about her feelings for him. They'd just fuck off in some cabin in the middle of nowhere.

Eren is just an insane retard that Isayama didn't know what to do with beyond playing his entire motives up as a mystery box and it just went to caveman logic of "ME KILL EVERYBODY!"

Maybe I'm misremembering something but I don't think that throwaway line about family had anything to do with Eren's decision.

It's established that Eren knows how Mikasa feels, and that he loves her too. It seems like you're assuming things would be different if she said "I love you". If there's some basis for that then I missed it. You mention that cabin scene, but wasn't that just Mikasa's fantasy?

Eren's plan to have everyone kill him was pretty caryon-consuming though. He should have just wiped out the enemy and went home, but I guess that'd be too simple for Isayama, he needed to make his intentions convoluted, contrived, and obscure.

That cabin thing was not just Mikasa's fantasy. Eren pretty much went on about how that would've been his life if she said something different than family on that night.

Not that I don't believe you, but can you show me that it wasn't her fantasy, and where Eren went in about that? I'm trying to figure this all out.

If what you're saying is true, then why did he hinge his decision (the motives of which are still unclear to me at least) on her answer without even asking her to clarify or if she's sure, and also just ignored that he knew the truth anyway regardless of her spoken answer? It makes no sense from any angle. It can't be that poorly written, right...? Right?

Not to butt in, but yes. It is that poorly written. Mostly because the final few chapters of AoT are chaotic af, and most of the time it's not really clear what's exactly happening, but here's the scene in question from start to finish.

A key thing to remember here is that PATHs is also kind of going apeshit while all this was happening. It is a complete clusterfuck of confusing bullshit, and I'm still not sure what exactly is supposed to be going on, but if I had to guess I think it's supposed to be both PATHs fuckery, and Mikasa's schizo fantasy.

As for why Eren didn't do any of what you mentioned, he's an idiot. The guidebook literally states his intelligence is 3/10. He's just a dumbass, and that's all there really is to it. A dumbass, and poor writing.
