Eren had godlike power to shape the land, change history, and decide the future, but the way he used it was like a Japanese nationalist going back in time to drop the atom bombs himself, cause the tsunami that killed his mom, kill most of the world in the present to piss the survivors off, and thus get Japan blown up for good in the future.

He should have made Ymir return to the village, grow everybody's tongues back, make the king into HER bitch slave if she likes him so much, and then rule Eldia peacefully. Good timeline achieved.

He used to get shit done before the timeskip. Afterwards, pretty much what you said. I think Isayama was out of ideas for plans and schemes after Liberio. Armin was so useless by the end he spent half the final battle deepthroating a tentacle.

So still no word on how the story's going to continue in anime form? Final Season Part 3 or a stupid fucking movie ending?
 
if they are thinking of the long term, IE selling the series in box sets especially in the foreign market with an eye towards preserving what remaining evergreen anime classic standing the franchise has left, they'd do part 3. because anime movies never get packaged with the main series abroad when it comes to box sets and a lot of stations and streaming sites won't like having to pay extra for the AOT finale movie on top of the TV.

Either that or have episode 87 end with a comet hitting Earth and killing everyone and Ymir being blamed as far as her secretly deciding to wipe out everyone due to her seeing no end to the violence without having both sides die ala Ideon's TV ending having the Ideon self-destructing randomly after the episode's battle was declared by it as the "last chance humanity had to reconcile with the other side".

The thing is, anime committee these days are now looking to view movies as an untapped gold mine. Gone now movies being non-canon entries. With Demon Slayer and JJK, we are going to see movies as the continuation of adaptation of canon instead of your usual anime tv series. This by itself would force the audience to watch the movie, and licensors to buy the license of said movie as well.

Definitely not something I like personally, but understandable from the business POV

Friendly reminder that shows like Evangelion, Haruhi, and Madoka already did the whole "movies as a continuation of canon" long before this trend took off, and did it very well.

Not gonna lie, I'm actually bummed out it's not a movie. Me, and my friends had a whole day planned out dedicated to bar hopping all across town while getting shitfaced on every different kind of jaegerbomb we could find before eventually going into theater to see this trainwreck more wasted than this series' actual potential.

But no, this shit is being dragged out for a whole 'nother fucking year (the air date is some time in 2023), and I can't even have the joy of seeing Eren crying on the big screen while drunk off my ass.

Feels bad man. (:_(

Its both sad and amazing that this schedule is somehow even worse than the current Jojo schedule.

Since reminder that the Final Season started all the way back in 2020 so it means that the "Final Season" spanned 4 years.
 
The funniest thing about the end of AoT to me is that when the last chapter came out, my best friend who doesn't like AoT linked me the page where Eren goes on about actually loving Mikasa and stuff and he asked 'what's this cuck shit about?' and I said 'oh the last chapter came out, it's probably some meme edit' then I actually read the chapter and it was real.
 
I watched the episode, and it's funny to remember that Eren decided to commit global genocide because of Mikasa saying she was family to him out of clear embarrassment and one racist meeting because apparently that is how the entire world is.

I'm gonna be honest, while the worldbuilding is fucking stupid, I'm starting to think Eren is even more retarded with his actions while the story acts like he is smart or is doing the necessarily evil things.
