Funny you mentioned the Courtroom scene, that was the moment that made me turn 180 degrees from this series and dropped it. You can already see how surface-level Isayama's knowledge really from that scene. Its a foreshadowing of the later part of the series where he added more and more elements that you can clearly see he knew nothing about
To me, it's still the stupidest thing in the entire series.
Yeah like Attack on Titan was a fun series, but people acted like it was the next greatest thing ever (aka baby's first edgy anime) but it had a lot of dumb shit in it. Though I'd say the serum bowl was probably the worst of the two in terms of the pre-timeskip stuff since serumbowl showed how much plot armor the main three characters have. Courtroom scene is just a standard kangaroo court scene that resolved in a pretty predictable way.
I gotta disagree because the way that scene is so spectacularly stupid it no longer becomes predictable.

Itachi is kind of similar to Eren, now that I think about it. He killed off his own people for... at first I thought it was about his nation, but then it turned out be about his brother? Sasuke, I killed our parents for you. Also I love you, but hate me to grow stronger. Also, I've murdered way more people since then and have a part of a terrorist organisation that wants to enslave the world.
The longer Shippuden went, the more off the rails it got. Isayama is in good company.
Historia didn't really condone it either. She just kind of went along with it because she's the mother of an unborn child and the leader of a country that is about to get fucked into oblivion. Eren's actions are fucking retarded. He decides not to go along with the original plan specifically because it fucks over Historia, and yet he decides leaving Eldia basically defenseless from the wrath of the rest of the world which he just genocided in her name is any better.
In Itachi's defense, saving Sasuke is a last minute decision he makes on the fly because he doesn't have the willpower to kill him. He couldn't bring himself to kill Sasuke and so Itachi had to improvise by threatening Danzo, and asking the Third Hokage to protect Sasuke inexchange for what he did.
Naruto-tards are annoying, but at least Naruto has enough good moments to justify liking the series in the early days.
Not to mention that Isayama basically spit on Erenfags at the end even saying how he portrayed Eren in the ending is the “Real Eren”. Yet Erenfags are still coping that Isayama is doing some super meta twist where the anime is a different timeline because “Muv Luv” and that there will be some AOE that has him win (even bringing back dumbass theories like the Warhammer theory) even though Eren’s VA openly admits to being hyped to bring the last chapter to life.
It ends with Eren crying like a bitch and then dying.
He is killed by Mikasa because he lets her do it
It stops because Eren wanted everyone in the alliance to defeat him all along because he was pulling a Lelouch

While the rumbling is stopped, 20% of the world survived and decades passed with technology advancing, there is no reason given beyond implied revenge or something else. Which to be fair it makes sense given at the end, the island was openly celebrating Eren and the Rumbling.
Would disagree on Naruto early days as while the story was decent but it pulling the same shit that DBZ had done by stretching everything out made it impossible for me to watch. As I went through that hellhole once with DBZ and had no intentions of ever sitting through that again.
