Funny you mentioned the Courtroom scene, that was the moment that made me turn 180 degrees from this series and dropped it. You can already see how surface-level Isayama's knowledge really from that scene. Its a foreshadowing of the later part of the series where he added more and more elements that you can clearly see he knew nothing aboutSee, I think the problem is that everything has to be infallible, and deep nowadays. It can't just be flawed, and for fun. It has to be the best thing since sliced bread, or else it's not worth getting into.
Even when AoT was good, it was never perfect, or really that well-written. It was fun, and interesting, but it's always had incredibly stupid shit in it like the Courtroom Scene, and the Serum Bowl. The only difference was that politics never got involved, and that the stupidity was a lot less frequent, and aside from the above-mentioned Courtroom Scene, a lot less pronounced.
The thing is that these idiots have built up the series to be this masterpiece, and Yams to be this hyper-intellectual genius when all AoT is just a zombie story written by some guy in Japan who just wanted to fund his spa.
Lastly, I have no idea how anyone can say that there's no plot armor in AoT when Reiner literally "transferred his consciousness to his limbs", Armin survived being charcoaled and falling over sixty feet, and Levi and Zeke got blown up so hard it sent the latter into another dimension.
I mean, forget the PATHs system. I wanna know how that limb thing works.
