Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

Honestly I hope he keeps making socks; I love watching him get banned once he inevitably spergs too hard and I love how every time he makes another sock people get even more mad.

That's kind of my point. Doxing isn't trivial. I recall some idiot in chat telling us all how it's just a couple of Google searches. Zed was right there when he said it. That guy backpedaled very quickly.

I've identified a few people online who annoyed me. It wasn't easy in most cases. I haven't even tried with Corbin and I doubt I could pull it off even if I did.

Yeah I get the impression the only easy doxxes are troons because they can't stop talking about themselves everywhere and always use the same account name and info.

CDMP being a giant sperg that keeps getting banned on an endless crusade of autism doesnt at all preclude him really being Bruce Willis. Might even improve the odds really.

He was never banned because of his views, he was banned because he annoyed Null and then held his own poll to vote for his own ban. Trying to frame his ban as if he was some sort of Weev 2.0 is just disingenuous at best. Corbin's just locked in this strange, perpetual ban because he polled for his own ban and now he's violating that ban by returning repeatedly. It's really more of an odd technicality than anything else.

And Null is allowed to ban you for whatever he wants, it's his forum. It's also worth noting that he does so at his own peril.

It's pretty clear the old guard are pretty upset that their formerly-private club is now popular and all these new people are showing up. Null making further moves to police what people say based on his own predilections is proof enough of that. But even as it is now, the site will continue on.

But it's never going to be as fun as it was for the old guard because of all the new people being weird and dicks. And new people will never get to see the site at its fullest potential because of the old guard being weird and dicks.

Watching upper management start to act like teenagers running a RP forum has been one of the main reasons I'm spending less time here. But I think management is probably okay with that. They clearly do not want certain kinds of posters here.
