Articles & Happenings is the third attempt at a news board on the Kiwi Farms. It is a cursed place. Every moderator who has been assigned here has resigned within a year. During 2016, the political crossfire was so bad it spread to different boards and culminated in me banning American news discussion entirely for several months. It has been deleted in its entirety twice. There is no actual discussion here, it's people posting garbage. It leans much further right than the rest of the site and doesn't particularly conduct discussion because dissenting opinions are dogpiled by a thousand memelords posting shit they read on /pol/ without any critical analysis.

The only rules that can be enforced are empirical ones with boolean violation answers. New threads must cite a real source directly and must use the headline of the article as a thread title without any editorializing. Articles must be archived in some way and must link to the original article. Replies that are one word or a reaction images are automatic one-month bans from the board.

I'm creating this now because it seems like this place is here to stay and is one of the largest areas of the entire site. I might as well throw in bare minimum effort to improve it. I don't even try to find mods for here because they will quit, without exception. I've added new prefixes ("Business" and "Crime") just now.

I didn't quite get that from Null's OP, but let's assume that's the case. What exactly is preventing Mr. @Null From just deleting the board, and turbobanning current event discussion across the rest of the boards? And considering @Null seems like a person of action, not of whining, existential hugfeel threads aside, I would rather see him do that than literally anything else.

But re-reading the first post, seems much more that it's informing us of a few new rules & regs to be followed 'round these parts, and maybe an olive branch to the more egregious shitposters to clam the fuck down. Which is a good thing for everybody, in general. Blood pressure is too high across the population as it is.

So take the man's advice, and calm the fuck down.

What I enjoy most about this is despite people giving Corbin advice on how not to get caught socking he still keeps getting caught doing it. I usually enjoyed his posts but god damn he's displaying some hard-headed dumbness here.

I view it as more or less a shitposting forum and treat it as such. People taking it deadly seriously is kind of funny. I wouldn't like to see it piss Null off to the point he shuts it down entirely, which he's tried to do before and it's never worked, much like moot getting rid of /new/ didn't work.

If a new account starts contributing lukewarm facebook Republican takes on every thread posted to A&H, and suddenly starts sperging "not all Republicans" in the /r/The_Donald community watch thread, it's Corbin.
Sperging about left-wing censorship on other websites whenever being criticized is another classic Corbin play.

Autistic ramblings about the left, not being able to let things go, rampant posting about everything, and feeling the need to drag out debates and arguments for as long as possible. I think the biggest tip-off, however, is the fact that he has a very distinctive writing style that involves not spacing out his paragraphs. He never changes this, and if you look at the posts he made with his socks, all of them feature this sort of weird quirk. It's a dead giveaway at this point.

Now now, let's not throw stones at not being able to let things go in a topic that's significantly sperging over how much certain people hate negative ratings.
 
I think Corbin's reputation on A&H and Kiwi Farms can be proof that just posting right-wing talking points and "muh left" isn't enough to garner respect or long term discussion. He makes conservative viewpoints look bad as the stenotype they are portrayed as.
 
Corbin actually contributed well to discussions on controversial topics, if memory serves me right.

His problem was that he immediately tripled down on yelling at the mods whenever he didn't like a moderation action.

He is one of the users most prone to getting into hostile perma-slapfights with both regulars intentionally baiting him and users mildly dissenting from the local group think. There's a reason when Null put it to a vote whether or not he should be banned the first time around, his supporters uniformly were describing him as an entertaining monkey they could count on acting retarded rather than genuinely liking him or his posts.

Actually, that's an interesting point. The problem isn't necessarily that A&H is just some kind of Right-Wing hugbox because one of the most outspoken Right-Wing people who posts (Present-tense because we know he'll be back) in here gets nuked every time that he walks in through the door, and he's not even the type that spouts off incessant "jewish/black people bad" sorts of posts either. Yet, he's still looked down upon by the general community in here, or in the very least ridiculed.

The problem isn't being caused solely by someone's political stance, it's because of the inherent inability of the person to properly present their argument whenever it's contested without it instantly devolving into insults and deflections. Whatever political stances they hold are really a secondary issue. Cosmos and Ashy would be great examples too, since Cosmos is well-liked around here as a whole, but Ashy's generally not given a warm welcome. Both of those reactions are due to how they present their arguments and their willingness or lack thereof to instantly descend into a slapping tournament.

So, people take A&H too seriously, I guess is the point. I didn't exactly make a revelation there.

He's not wrong about the mean girls clique. It's annoyed me too. But Corbin also annoyed me, and on the whole I'm not sorry he's gone.

As for the idea that A&H will make Null despair and shut down the Farms, I'd rather hear that from him. I haven't seen him say anything like that.
 
If I may, if you're going to claim there's a cache of transcripts, why not post them?
